One of my new favorite spots. Staff is really friendly, atmosphere is clean and bright,seafood tastes fresh and cold, while the sushi rice is room temp( not warm like other poke places I've had). I could even taste high quality salt on the salmon which really does make a difference in the overall flavor. I enjoyed the food I had, but was disappointed. I'm a poke lover and was thrilled to see the place open within a few blocks from my home. I ordered two medium bowls, one for me and my daughter. The cost was higher than poke places I have tried in Bellevue, Vancouver, B.C., and Hermosa Beach CA, and the portions were much smaller than any of them. A small amount of rice, a smaller amount of dry mixed lettuce, a small pinch of seaweed salad, and a small scoop of poke (spicy tuna, my daughter had salmon). I would prefer to have the option of some additional toppings, like those offered in other places. I understand that it is an effort to be "authentic" Hawaiian, but my desire for flavor, variety, and value is stronger than my desire for ethnic credibility. I don't want to be too negative, but the $12 bowls we purchased were not enough for a meal for either myself or my 99-lb daughter (with normal appetites). Bottom line: Good flavors Limited options Nice people Poor value Since it is so convenient to my home, I will likely check in after a couple of months to see how the place has evolved, but in the meantime, my passion for poke will have to be satisfied elsewhere. read more

After living in Hawaii for awhile and moving back to the Seattle area I've longed for the poke and the Hawaiian hospitality. I tried this place for the first time today as it's only been open for a couple weeks and was so impressed! The poke bowls are so flavorful and the tuna practically melts in your mouth. I haven't eaten poke since I've moved back home and this definitely met all of my expectations and more. The staff was also unbelievably welcoming and kind which is so refreshing in Seattle. The big bowls come with two different kinds of poke, rice, mixed greens salad and a seaweed salad. Priced at $17 a bowl, I think that's a steal for some yummy fresh poke! I had such a great first experience here yesterday. I was greeted with big smiles from all of the people who worked there. A super clean, fun atmosphere. The food though!! Fresh and marinated perfectly. I got the oyster sauce salmon, Mac salad and seaweed salad on top of rice. Everything was perfect. The smiles and warm "mahalo!" I live in Kitsap county and this is a MUST stop on my way home. I have only tried the spicy tuna poke... and it melts in your mouth. Truly.. this place is a gem. It has the perfect mix of flavor, it's SUPER fresh... I feel like super woman after I eat here. The absolute best Poke dishes in the Seattle area. It is be more expensive than most but you get what you pay for. The fish is always fresh and they give a very generous amount. The sauce combinations are amazing, the sushi rice is on point and they have a flavorful pepper water at all the tables that makes your mouth water just smelling it. The owner Steve is there every day and is the nicest person you'll meet as is the rest of the poke family. Nothing but smiles and good vibes at Ono Poke. ONO POKE! My oh my. What a fresh new spot to come for amazing authentic poke. Straight from the islands to the small awesome city of Edmonds. We have been waiting for something like this for so long and I'm so thankful for The Ono family for opening this gem! Everything is so fresh here you can't go wrong. I wish I could post about the taste and quality of their poke but they sold out no where near their 7:00 pm close time. Stood in line because no one bothered to announce they were essentially sold out and no sign posted either to notify customers to not waste their time. With the long line, it's impossible to see how much they have left, if any. As I got closer to the counter, I could see they were being skimpy with their portions for the poke bowl (perhaps because they were running out?). If you're craving poke then take your gamble at coming here. The only positive thing I have to say is that the store does seem clean and spacious. read more

This really does have great food. I would come back more often but I just don't agree with the way payments are made. When I go to a deli or grocery store, I do not tip. Here, you stand at the cash register, order, then pick up your food just like a grocery store deli. But, when paying at the register, you have to tip or punch the "no tip" button in front of the cash register employee. Very uncomfortable. Its more of a deli than a restaurant, but you get charged for sales tax also. With tax and tip, you end of paying $40 a pound for fish. Just pay your employees enough and you would get more returning customers. read more
