Serving size is so good you only need one roll! Practically unheard of. Food looks just as good as it tastes. Our server was very nice and considerate. Seats are a little uncomfortable especially if you're plus size. But overall great atmosphere and food!

Yummy! I tried their two, restaurant stand out items, which was a donut and a mega roll. The donut was a pass for me. It's a constructed, but DIY of how you want to eat it, type of dish. They give you a few pieces of nori and you have it at. Deconstruct and make little hand rolls, whatever. It was just a tad flavorless. The mega roll however!!! Amazing. Full of flavors, a ton of fresh fish, and I only ate about half of it before tapping out.

Service was quick. Got the bulgogi with pickled pepper in a tofu pocket with rice. It was good however it is $7 for one. Dynamite roll was huge for $20 and had a good amount of fried shrimp. I got the seaweed salad and it tasted like the store bought ones but came on a good sized plate, probably 2 cups worth. We ordered the pistachio and avocado donut sushi which is rice shaped as a donut with the toppings on top and 3 squares of seaweed to make your own hand roll. The vegan sushi donut is the same price as the eel sushi donut. I thought the tea that came in a French press was unique since I usually have to wave someone down for refills or get a teapot. Got the barley tea which was a huge teabag.

We were warmly greeted as soon as we arrived, the hospitality and service far exceeded our expectations. The rolls were beautiful, delicious and huge! Order the Sushi Man Special, an off the menu salmon dish you won't regret.

There's several vegan options, which was really cool! I tried the vegan dragon roll and also the Greenlake sushi donut. I also tried some of the inari. The workers were very sweet and refilled my water a couple times, which was appreciated. I think there was a miscommunication about one of my inari though as I asked for tamago and ended up with spicy tuna. The staff was in back when I realized something was off so I just kinda didn't eat it. The inari were just ok, so I might not get those again next time. Other than that everything was good and it was a nice place to grab lunch! The inside is very pretty as well and I think they have outdoor tables when the weather is nicer.

Fresh fish, creative presentation and fair price! What's not to love?? Found this place on Yelp. I'm so grateful for this app!

My family are visiting my brother from New Mexico, and trying to eat all the fish we can while we are in Seattle. Previously we had been turned away from another restaurant, and this one was in the area. First off, our server was so incredibly nice. It appeared that she was the only server, and she helped all the tables quickly and with a huge smile. We ordered one of the large platters. We wanted a good taste of everything. The miso soup was INCREDIBLE. So much flavor. My 3 yo son couldn't get enough. The platter was really beautiful too. Everything was delicious. We really enjoyed the large selection of sake too. The restaurant was very cool, with a wooden accent wall, and black walls. They also had toys for the kids, which was a nice touch. The spicy tuna rolls were amazing. They even had jalapeños on top, which I love spicy. We will be back, thank you!

Solid Sushi spot! I got takeout - prepared on time and easy pickup - and took it to green lake to eat. The sushi donut was interesting and worth trying! They served my miso soup into a takeout container when I arrived so it was hot and fresh, I appreciated that.

My friend and I came over for lunch on a Wednesday. There wasn't any other customers other than us. We were seated by the kind waiter. I ordered chirashi bowl but substituted rice with spring mix salad. It was really fresh and satisfying. The side dishes were a nice addition. My friend ordered some rolls and enjoyed them as well. They're somewhat hidden on the sidewalk, I wouldn't have noticed it if I'm just walking by. It's a gem, and I would return.

The rolls and poke bowl are spectacular. They have a truffle sauce in the poke bowl that adds an incredible umami flavor. The rolls are packed full of filling and are always delicious. The owner is incredibly sweet and we have had an amazing time all of the times we have been here. The restaurant is very cozy as well. Highly recommend.

Portions were massive and delicious which is a double win. Service was kind and explained the menu to us. If I was back In the area I'd def stop by this place. Some of the better sushi I've had in the PNW.

Decent pricing, nothing special but is a decent neighborhood spot that I'd come back to if I were close by and craving sushi. Would be nice to take a roll to-go and eat by Green Lake!

The sushi rolls were mostly rice with little fish. I would skip getting any of them. The carpaccios were interesting... not really what I was thinking when I order carpaccios at other restaurants but the fish was good quality and the sauces paired well. I liked the the yuzu sour! It was so tart and fizzy, whereas the lemon sour mostly tasted like water. They are really just known for their decor, which is indeed super cool. The ambiance is very fun. It can get super busy so make a reservation, especially if you have a bigger group coming. I think it would be a fine place to get drinks and maybe have a bite or two, but the food is not really worth it in my opinion.

We ordered only from the happy hour menu because they had a ton of good sounding options there. The yakiton came first and was really greasy and black peppery. The yakitori meat was smaller than the chicken skewers I've gotten at Southeast Asian restaurants in the Seattle area, but these ones had a softer texture like teriyaki chicken. The kalbi beef was inconsistent. One of our plates had large pieces, while the other plate was full of small pieces. The smaller kalbi was drier. The bigger kalbi was chewier. I'd stick to ordering kalbi from Korean restaurants where the meat is more tender and easier to eat. The best item we ordered was the crispy chicken wings. They really were crispy - nothing like I've had before in terms of crispiness. Next time I would try the JFC to compare. Something that I didn't like was that they put both orders of the wings on the same plate instead of splitting them up. They split up the kalbi plates, but nothing else. It was ok to combine the skewers because they're so tiny, but the wings were almost falling off the plate they were on and very close to being a bad jenga situation with how they were placed.

The dispenser was wet, suggesting it had recently been used and run out. I flagged this to an employee who was handling food at the time. They acknowledged me but didn't address it. I waited and brought it up again and was met with visible annoyance. Another staff member eventually mentioned that employees use a sink in the kitchen. I asked if I could use it. Shortly after, soap appeared in the bathroom with no acknowledgment or apology. What concerns me most is this: if the customer-facing restroom had no soap during the dinner rush, and the response to being asked about it was irritation rather than urgency, what does that say about how handwashing is handled behind the scenes? I'm not looking for perfection. I'm looking for basic food safety protocol to be taken seriously. I didn't see that here.

Finally, we were celebrating a birthday so we appreciated them bringing out a complimentary dessert and it was very cute having them play the birthday song on the speakers so the whole restaurant sang along! On the misses, the spicy salmon hand roll was extremely salty to the point where it was burning my tongue. The hot dishes like the salmon chanchan yaki and chicken teriyaki were bland and overcooked, didn't even want to bring leftovers home. And the sushi took FOREVER to come out, at least 15 minutes after the hot dishes, so be warned if it's busy. Parking is also very limited on site so that;s another warning if you're going during busy times.
