I work for a widely known, HUGELY popular food service in the corporate side of things & this particular day I was doing my semester routing deliveries to take an overall rating of the service the merchant was giving our workers/customers & if they were abiding by the mutual polIcies we've set to make things FAST, simple & easy. Well, this place failed miserably! To my horror there was a giant horse FLY in the macaroni salad! Not just that, but when telling them about it they tried to blame me! (Funny, if only they knew...) On top of that they were clearly NOT abiding by the regulations we have in place to help BOTH of our customers ultimately & were inattentive & very condescending upon attempting to pick up the order. Excellent staff and average Hawaiian style food. Each time I have visited during the lunch hour, it was packed. I have had the Katsu Pork, Katsu Chicken, Hawaiian BBQ, Macaroni salad, and rice. The main dishes were average, and the macaroni salad was good. Between the Katsu Pork and Chicken, I would recommend the chicken. In my opinion, the chicken is more flavorful and less chewy than the pork. The BBQ chicken is average, but you might have a better experience using a real knife and fork because the BBQ was a little tough. As indicated earlier, the macaroni salad is really good, and the rice is rice. I did enjoy the Katsu and teriyaki sauces. The combination plates seem to be the best deal. Very sad I paid 17.00 for kalbi short rib plate the rice scoop was smaller then usual and instead of three pieces of meat there was two and a half pieces. The difference in price went up, but the quantity and quality went down. It definitely was not worth it. I have been here many times with a good amount of food for the price.
