There was a small line, so that was ideal. Not a long wait. My other smaller human and i went to wash their hands in the library. When i came out he had ordered the hungry man or something. It was more than enough for us. The oxtail was good. The ribs were good. The chicken was good. The cornbread was yummy. Just not over the moon for the greens... and i loooove collard greens. But that's ok. We went for the meats. They were out of the dinosaur ribs, so maybe if we go early enough next time, we can try those. We took it across the street to the park and ate and that was enough time for the small one to also play to get energy out before we headed home. It's somewhat like a small community of restaurants and shops with a garden and a play area for kids. Parking is very limited so will most likely need to park on the streets along residential area. Service is minimal. You order at the counter and they give you a buzzer to let you know when the food is ready. Seating is only available outside in the covered patio area but you can also pick any of the community tables and chairs within Cottage Industries.

Walking in, the place immediately reminded me of some of the BBQ joints I've been to in the South. It has that casual BBQ patio vibe where the focus is really on the meats and sides. We ordered the 4 Meats + 4 Sides so we could sample a little bit of everything. For our meats, we got 1/2 lb brisket, 1/2 rack of pork ribs, 1/2 lb pork belly (siu yuk), and 1/2 lb char siu. I also added a sausage because I wanted to give that a try. Our favorites were definitely the brisket and sausage. The brisket had good flavor and was the standout meat for us. The sausage was also really good and something I would order again. The siu yuk had a really nice crunch from the crackling skin, but unfortunately the meat itself lacked flavor. The pork ribs were well seasoned, but ours were pretty dry and didn't have much meat on the bones. The char siu was interesting because it's definitely different from the traditional Chinese BBQ char siu you would get from a place like Sam Woo.
