I woke up to a flat tire on my car in the driveway. Roadside assistance ended up towing my van to X-Pert Auto, and Joe was very helpful, spending a serious amount of time deciding the best course of action (fixing the leak or using my spare). He found that my spare was deflated and useless and fixed that for me too. Some cheeky comments and a plate of brownies later, he only charged me $30. Took my truck into X-pert so they could repair the rear pinion seal on my differential. I've heard good things about this shop and bad things about their competition across the street. I had an appointment early in the morning and I had to wait for my ride to arrive. The waiting room has a comfortable couch, bathroom, and a television. The wait was totally comfortable. The mechanic confirmed my suspicion that the pinion seal was bad and quoted me a decent price for repair. While sitting in the waiting room, it was clear to me that this business has loyal and repeat customers. My car wouldn't start on Tuesday morning. I called Xpert Auto and spoke to Jeff. I told him I needed someone to come by and jump me so I could drive it over to their shop for a new battery. I hadn't had need for Xpert Auto in the past 6 or 7 years. After not having me as a customer for so long I probably dropped off their customer list...but I got a call back within 10 minutes from Joe Pate, the owner of Xpert Auto, who assured me he would come by as soon as he could. As I was waiting for Joe to come by, Jeff called me back to follow-up and make sure Joe had called me. I'm not used to people actually following up anymore!! LOL Good customer service is getting more and more rare nowadays. He confirmed he had a battery for me in stock. and a couple hours later Joe drove over to my home and got my Sportage started. I drove over to Xpert Auto, walked inside, and sat in their comfy lobby for a total of 15 minutes. Battery changed out. Price with labor altogether was less than I saw just the battery for on a few websites, and Joe saved me the hassle and expense of having it towed. We have recently moved here from WA state. I had taken my car to the Cadillac dealership in WA many times regarding a loud noice when I started the car. They found nothing time and time again. DO NOT TRUST THEM !! Took 2016 Jeep Cherokee from AC diagnostics early morning drop. A/C Check $59.95 w/ a A/C Evacuate & Charge $185.00. Two days later, We were told that our Air Force One braking system came loose from being zip tied to a front end framing member. We were told that it had punctured a in the OEM A/C CONDENSER billed out at $403.65 (Amazon price $143.65 includes 2 day shipping) Labor billed out at $750.00. What started out as a $250.00 A/C service, the final bill was $1809.99. We have an extended warranty with Good Sam, we have been with them for over twenty years, great company. They know repairs cost, they have been dealing with repair for years. They keep the repair shops honest. The repair shops do not like them, because they can not price gouge customers. They told me the extended warranty would not cover the repair and they had spoken to Good Sam. This is not true, Good Sam always calls us to confirm the work order. Just so we are very clear about this, they will hold you car hostage. There is fence and locked gate around there property. A sign telling that will hold you vehicle until you cough up the money. As far the quality of there mechanical work, time will tell. I will never use them for any repair's. read more

Pricing is far, far over what it actually costs at other service shops. $50.00 for an oil change on a standard car? Front struts alone $700? I think this shop is out of their minds. They smile but are more than willing to take advantage of you. I had work done but their people didn't tighten down a bolt. It caused that same bolt to come free and hit the ground while my wife was driving and bounce back into the engine compartment. This cause more damage but what scared me more is that it could have done something that may have caused my wife to get into an accident. Took car in for electrical diagnostics on AC because drivers side was cold but passenger side air was warm. Told 2 hour job. 6 hours later called and told definite electrical problem. An hour later I had no response so I showed up to get car and they got angry. Leaving, I had NO cold air AT ALL and their diagnostics found no problem with AC electrical as specifically stated on receipt. Specifically instructed not to touch AC refrigerant under warranty but did anyway. Now a different repair company says refrigerant side has a problem which makes me wonder what they did against my specific instructions. Drove to CA with passenger warm air side problem the week before but still remained cold in the car. Leaving, I have nothing but hot air on both sides. Gave some excuse insurance company instructed them to countermand customer specific work order request. Work order was specific to check only electrical blend door actuator motor and dampers. Don't trust them at all. read more
