Bad experience. My car was making a rattle noise at parking lot speeds. Left it all day with Ooroo auto care. Thinking it was a fan noise they tested it said everything looks good $127.00 please. I said what about the noise? No noise car operates properly. Drove home car still making noise. Looked under the hood tracked the noise to a broken oil filter cap assembly as Mercedes use. Replaced it myself noise gone. To add insult to injury weeks later online I saw they double billed me. $127.00 twice. I called them and they said we don't see it. They wanted me to come back in with my credit card so I called my bank and they said yes they did double bill you and we can help. Do yourself a favor a find a different auto repair shop. Dead batteries are always the worst because you can't drive to have the repair done. My plan was to get a jumpstart and take it immediately somewhere to replace the battery. But, I saw that Ooroo has a mobile mechanic that can could come and replace the battery in my driveway! Perfect! It made the ordeal so much smoother! read more

This place was good when a certain someone was running the place. You may wonder why all the Cubs stuff is gone inside... It's because he went out and got his own shop because this one started ripping people off unfortunately. There are three family members that won't go there again after a couple years of good service. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation and mentioned I may need an alignment. I was told after 15 minutes I needed an alignment which my car still drives the same after I had left. I waited over 2 hours in the shop to get my car back and noticed they never rotated the tires that I was charged for. His excuse?he said he couldn't find the wheel lock key!?!? I was sitting there over two hours all he had to do was ask instead no tried to send me on my way, so I waited an additional 20 minutes for them to take the car back in to do it. Now I'm there 3 hours and he didn't know how to reset my oil percentage gauge?! WTF? I had to pull it up online and walk him through it. My brother took a car in recently that they pulled the shifter cable off and told him after two days they couldn't fix it without telling him what they did. Then my brother had to tow it to a different shop that told him what they did and fixed it for under $200. Save yourself the heart ache and go elsewhere. They aren't going downhill they've driven off of it! read more

I have been taking my cars to OOROO Auto for the last two years. Ricky and LeRoy are incredible. They have done service work on my 1936 Ford and 1966 Chevy Step Side Pickup, replaced the entire electrical system on my 1965 Chevrolet Impala. As is sometimes the case not everything can be repaired in one place. My 1936 Ford is period correct. That said, the engine is a 1937 Ford flat head V-8. I had an electrical problem that I could not solve. My friends at OOROO were able to solve the problem through one of their trusted mechanics. I could not be happier. I have owned this 1936 Ford for nearly two years. I have never driven a factory fresh 1936 Ford. After this latest repair I can now say I know what it is like to drive a new 1936 Ford! read more

This is an update to my original review. I went back to have an oil change and the technician told me that "someone"Had over tightened the oil pan drainage nut. I explained that I had only been to them to have my oil changes done but they insisted that they couldn't prove that I hadn't been somewhere else so I had to pay in excess of $500 to replace the oil pan. I guess it could've been worse they could've made me pay for the whole thing but really disappointing that someone I trusted and used exclusively would doubt me. I've since found a new mechanic and feel much better about this service. read more

It's impossible to find a good mechanic in Tucson. Ooroo was great. Until now. I started going to Ooroo Auto in early 2020 to double check the work being done by another far less reliable auto shop. Ooroo did the necessary job right the first time or pinpointed work that was done incorrectly that I then had redone under warranty. Then on my third visit almost a year later, in addition to work I wanted done, they said I needed a new radiator. My vehicle is many years old, but I take care of it. So I agreed to replacing the radiator. From that point on, Ooroo suggested work that was unnecessary and increasingly expensive. Recently I took my vehicle there because my "check engine" light lit up. They initially read the error code and said it was most likely a loose or old gas cap reading as a "leak". 1) In addition to other facts that I'll be sharing with the state of Arizona, when I was waiting in Ooroo's lobby to be picked up after dropping off my vehicle, another customer was picking up her vehicle. Ooroo had just replaced the catalytic converter after the check engine light came on and, that customer was told and I overheard, the error code was for the catalytic converter. 2) Later I got a call from Ooroo. The gentleman at the counter told me that "there was another error code under the evaporative leak error code" that necessitated replacing my catalytic converter, vacuum switching valve, etc., totaling an estimated cost of $2,223.00. I declined having that work done. 3) My vehicle passed smog testing a few weeks prior to my dropping it off at Ooroo. Buyer beware. read more

There is no other place I would have my car serviced in Tucson. Before they had their mobile service I drove all the way from the foothills to Oro Valley. Now they come to me. I've had different problems with my car because it's 2006. They have always been upfront, honest, expeditious, friendly, and most of all fix my car every time. Just a note. Their mobile service is really convenient. They will come to your home or job with their van. The guys are really respectful and knowledgeable. I recently had to have my battery replaced, as it was completely spent, and couldn't even be jump started. Fortunately, the good folks at OOROO Auto offer Mobil Auto Care, and were able to come to my home, which enabled me to get a new battery without the additional expense of being towed! They were very accommodating in setting up a time which was convenient for me, and arrived right at the scheduled time. My Service Advisor, Mr. Acosta, is one of the most professional auto technicians I've ever dealt with. He was very thorough in (a) double checking my existing battery, (b) explaining the situation to me, and (c) installing a brand new battery in my car. He explained the details of OOROO's warranty to me, and completed the entire visit in approximately an hour. We were recommended to them and they were awesome. I know a lot of reviews just say "oh they are so trust worthy" but when it comes to these guys, they are exactly that. They could have told me, like the other places that I needed a $1,800 fix and make a ton of money, but instead they said it wasn't a need right now and gave us the option in what to do. The front desk people are friendly, but this shop is unorganized and deceptive. They told me I needed an extensive amount of work to fix my Honda. Once they "fixed it," it continued to break down, and they did not fix the original problem. The mechanic crew left a large piece of equipment in my backseat, worth hundreds of dollars. When I drove all the way back a few days later to return it, I barely got a thank you. We just had one of our cars in here again. This time it was for a simple oil change. I have been meaning to do a review each time so here it is. This is the only auto repair place in the area we would trust with our cars and our family's cars. The service is top notch and we have never been overcharged for anything. The cars are ready when they say they will be or sooner in most cases. The place is clean, well kept, and very professional. I had them come to my house and service my vehicle, it's much easier than sitting in a waiting room. Scheduling was easy, the cost of at home service and taking my car to the was basically the same price. I was lucky they had a cancellation for the next day and didn't have to wait a week. The service person, Miguel was very courteous and professional. He called and asked if he could come early because he was ahead of schedule. It's tough, tough, tough finding a good, honest, and capable shop. Virtually impossible these days. I grew up wrenching/racing vehicles, attended the Plymouth automotive troubleshooting contest in high school. Built a 4 bolt main 350 once in my living room LOL We have several vehicles and at my older age now I don't have the strength to do a lot of the work anymore. (I have a log book on everything that is done to each vehicle.) So, I have to "farm" it out sadly. Gave OOROO a try and my first experience wasn't great as they invoiced me for work that they didn't do. Grant it, Jenelle the service advisor there was good and made it right, hats off to her. But what if I wasn't paying attention and didn't catch it? Hmmmm. So I went back to them for more work as Jenelle was so good about fixing their mistake. My mistake? Going back for more. When I got the vehicle back, that weekend I tackled the motor mount I didn't have them do cause it was rather easy. When I got under the SUV I see my oil pan is now damaged as in dented with fresh & clean scuff marks on it. Took pictures of it, sent to OOROO and they denied doing anything to cause it. Yes, I'm 100% certain of my oil pans condition as I just changed that oil before taking it in. I pay attention to things. In conclusion, I won't be back and I feel sorry for folks that are not knowledgeable/mechanical and don't understand repairs of automobiles so they can catch things. read more

Highly recommend OOROO! I have been going elsewhere for several years with no complaints. I had a specific, unique issue come up with my vehicle that I was able to troubleshoot myself but my normal shop was hesitant on the repair and I couldn't get in to see them or anyone else for at least one week (dealer was 4 weeks)! I called OOROO and Janelle confirmed my suspicions over the phone by asking a few questions then apologetically said they would not be able to repair it until THE NEXT DAY! Since I was not to be driving the vehicle until the repair was made I asked if I could drop it off and leave it overnight until repair day. I did, left my key and contact info and went on my way trying to plan for the next 48 hours. About four hours later Janelle called and said that they had a little time in between appointments and they were able to knock it out THAT DAY! Unbelievable customer service that really saved this single vehicle driving, single dad of two young kids. Being without a drivable vehicle for any length of time is a challenge but with two young kids, school and work, I was really in a bad spot. Could have cost me a lot of time and money for a rental car and sitters and such but OOROO saved the day. Best part is.....they did it without knowing my plight! Our truck had an unexpected dead battery in the heat of the day. Called OOROO and asked if they had a mobile service that could take care of this at our house. I was expecting a best case scenario of having someone come out in a day or two. They sent someone within a half hour and less than one hour later we had a running truck and a new battery. The employee was super professional and friendly, and practiced appropriate COVID precautions. And all of this for a minimal labor charge plus cost of the battery. An excellent experience that matches the service at their store in Rancho Vistoso. We'd been having ongoing battery issues with our Acura MDX that the dealership hadn't been able to rectify. Rock star technician AJ from Ooroo's mobile unit came out as scheduled. He was not only able to get the car started - which wasn't easy - but determined that this was an issue related to a bluetooth mechanism that was notorious for draining the battery on this specific model/year. Went to check the car the next morning with fingers crossed and it started right up! Not sure how the dealership missed it but we are SO grateful that he was able to get us back on track quickly during a busy time. read more

I have been using OOROO for about 2 years now. All I can say is they are great!!! I was using others who when I went to them were always up selling un-needed service. Ooroo's Leroy and Dustin do not. They will only sell you what is needed. I do a lot of driving and at 91,000 miles asked them to look at the breaks. The reply was the breaks were just fine. I had someone hit my car in the front several months ago and asked them to check out the allignment. That needed to be taken care of. I needed a ride home and their driver was also great (friendly and obviously likes people). I cannot recommend them highly enough. read more

If I haven't written a review about these folks before, I apologize, it's overdue. I've been taking my trusty steed (2007 RAV4) to them since they opened, and just had the first service for our all-electric Nissan Leaf. Asked them if they're comfortable working on the EV (electric vehicle) - the honest answer is "if we aren't, we'll tell you". And I trust them. Where do I start. They're close by, they're honest, they remember their customers (unless I just stick out for some reason...). Their prices are maybe MORE than fair (while it's not exactly in my best interests, I might have a talk with them about that). They tell me stuff they don't think I need done (even when the dealership might "recommend" otherwise). The service bays and the customer area are spotless. They provide little snacks (and coffee), WiFi... the whole shootin' match. I wish there were more merchants like Vistoso Automotive. I can't speak highly enough of them. read more

I didn't have a ride back home while they were working on my truck so Jeff took me home and then when my car was ready he came back and picked me up. I took my car in for an oil and filter change. The front counter people were very friendly and seemed quite accommodating. My car's engine spec for an oil and filter change is 5.1 quarts. They put in 6 qts which put the level at about 5/8" above the top mark on the dip stick immediately after engine turn-off, a clear overfill. The $7 charge for the extra quart was bad enough but I am more concerned about engine damage. They removed some oil when I took it back but I checked it after I got home and it was still about 1/2" above the top mark. I expect competent work so I do not recommend them nor am I going back. read more

If it were possible to give Vistoso more than 5 stars I would. I leave this shop feeling like I still owe them money because they constantly go above and beyond for me when I'm there. It doesn't even feel like a shop: great coffee and snacks, Wifi, comfortable seating, clean bathroom, and friendly/helpful employees. Their prices are also incredible and I have never once felt like they were trying to sell me something I didn't need - quite the opposite actually. This business has changed the way I see auto repair shops and I will forever be a customer of theirs! Pro tip: make an appointment. Everyone is aware of their amazing service and an appointment is needed. They are also closed on the weekends- which is probably why their staff is always happy :) read more
