I was hesitant to take the plunge due to the higher price of such products, but health reasons made me reconsider. I heard about Farmer Ben's and bought jjust a few items the first time (some hamburger, sausage, bacon and a couple steaks), and I was sold from thereon. The flavor, quality and freshness of the meat is unsurpassed. It's so worth the price to get such healthy, nutritious food. Their farm store sells other products as well (some excellent dairy and poultry products, plus grass-fed lamb from other farmers in the area). I hear this summer (2012) they are adding some farm grown veggies, too. Well worth the nice country drive to shop.

I had no idea there were so many types of blueberries. They had a little sign that listed the type of blueberry and what rows were available for picking. We grabbed a bucket and went to town. You are even allowed to taste them! The blueberries were good quality. While there were some that we not ripe yet, there were plenty of blueberries to pick and they looked good. They weren't like mushy or gross. Blueberries are also certified organic. Payment is sort of on the honor system, at least when we were there. Price is $3/lb. We ended up going up with 4 lbs of blueberries. They take cash, check or venmo. Just record the weight, the price and how you paid. They have other things at this farm as well.

It was a very uncomfortable and hostile environment when he is there. Won't go back. The customer service is too rotten when the nice ladies aren't allowed to treat customers correctly, and they try to push rotten fruit in the shop vs you picking what you want. The guy also tries to give you samples of unwashed fruit with dirty hands and a dirty knife used for cutting the fruits. Yuck!!! Parking is very limitted on the gravel next to the shop and your vehicle sometimes gets filthy and covered with dust when you or others drive in and out. Hard pass.
