These are the best quality and authentic pasties anywhere! When we take them camping and enjoy them with a salad, they are an economical choice as well as full of homecooked deliciousness. These are absolutely as authentic as Cornish pasties and offer a variety of other flavors too. My favs are the lamb and the steak pasties. As for service, it's always with a smile and a bit of delightful conversation. We like to pickup a dozen frozen pasties and grab a hot one since we can't wait to bake it ourselves. I stumbled on this place while on travel. Friendly owner and staff. It was kind of hidden in the back corner of the lot with no sign up front. I tried the beef pie one day and a chicken pie the other day. Both were amazing. There is a sauce option but I liked them better without sauces. For me the sauces covered up the great flavors already in the fillings. They only have a few warmed and ready to eat, though. Most of their sales are frozen product to be warmed at home. read more

We happened upon this place but found them closed, so we made a note of their hours and stopped by the following week. We bought two of each meat pasty and the breakfast pasty. Then we ordered a lemon bar, two cherry turnover, an apple turnover, and a brownie bar (for real, with crust). Everything is flavorful and not too salty or sweet (you'll taste those cherries!). Our favorites were the lamb and pork pasties. The chicken pot pie is nice but too loaded with peas for my daughter. The beef pasty has a subtle hamburger flavor. My fam also enjoyed the house pasty sauce and BBQ sauce that are side options if you'd like. These pasties are BIG, like two meals or feed two people big. The turnovers are reasonable size but the pasties are large, so don't be deterred by the price if you're afraid you're not going to get your money's worth--plus it's made with local raised meats and organic veggies. Been here twice so far for vegan pot pies--glad to see not only vegan options but two choices including one mild and one spicy. Perfect for my wife and I. While the price for the size of the item is a bit high it's not out of line with current food prices. Hopefully in the future we will see a bit of a drop--$14 for a small business hand-made pot pie is about $4.00, at least, higher than I expected. The two times we came here we bought 4 and 6 frozen vegan pies. Service is quick and staff are very friendly. We've not had to wait longer than 5 seconds for one or even two people and less than 60 seconds until walking out the door. The entryway, floor and shopping area/glass is clean even with the doors open. For anyone needing a quick main dish or side dish this is a quick 18 minute or less tasty item. read more

My Husband ran across the gem and brought home 3 different types of Pasties-chicken and beef are the ones we made tonight. They were frozen and we baked the according to the directions on the package. We found them to be delicious! The crust was yummy as well as the fresh homemade tasting fillings. I've had so many different pies from Holly's that I have even narrowed down my seasonal favorite. The owner is extremely friendly and when I told her which one was my favorite she informed me she had some left and I could come by when I was available next to get them. (Granted this was a few months ago so this flavor is not out right now) I love freezing them and having them for literally every meal. We were just driving through Everson to go to Cloud Mountain Farms one Saturday afternoon when this place caught our eye. We are so glad we stopped! We got some frozen pasties to heat up later when we got home for dinner! I had the vegetarian mushroom. It tasted like Thanksgiving in a buttery, flaky crust! Omg this place is amazing. I was up in Everson Washington working and discovered this wonderful place that has the best ever meat pies. My mom had made me a meat pies as a child but I really hadn't had this type of food until last weekend while working up in the area. My husband and I had a meat pasty and also a chicken pasty and were absolutely blown over by the goodness. The crust was amazingly buttery tender flaky and browned perfectly. The respective pies were so fresh tasting. The bakers absolutely love what they're doing and you can tell by the quality and pride that they're putting out. This last summer I went to Greece and the food was amazing. I have tried to re-create that on my own but it falls short because of the ingredients. Most of the ingredients we get here just are not the same here in America. I will tell you though this place is the closest that I've come to some of the best ingredients I found in the food since I've been back from Europe. I can't wait to get sent back up to Everson so I can go and have more meat pies. This place has it going on and I hope they stay in business for a very very long time!! Unlike other pasties I've tried elsewhere the pastry for Holly's pies is flaky and delicious. They also have vegan and vegetarian options and fruit pie options. I can see why everyone loves this place! Coming back from a work visit I stopped into this place for their vegetarian (yes they have 1-2 options for savory pasties for us!) pasties. I'm not sure if there is a British person behind this meat pie shop but it's authentic and legit! I ate my first one (veggie) while driving so I didn't get a photo of it - hearty in flavor it was everything I'd hoped for and more. The second one I enjoyed when I got home and I was even more in love with each bite! Even at room temperature this pasty was the bees knees! The "special" pasty they were offering was of the curried lentil variety. Even my friend who is not a vegetarian wanted a second bite! Now to the food.... Her Key Lime pie was on point and as genuine as u can get this far NorthWest of Florida Delicious, creamy and that just right tart you get from Key Lines, loved it! The name of the establishment is a little miss leading, because there were no traditional meat "Pot" pies that you would think you would be getting from the menu. Their more like large Empanadas or Pasties from back East. She does mention this in her menu. Yet, I was hoping for the traditional meat pies of the Midwest and west. That being said, there was more dough than inner ingredients, a little dry and more vegetables than meat. Misleading me again, since the title referred with in says "Meat Pies" not vegetable pies.... I would like to see, some actual meat pies, with a higher meat to vegetable ratio, and a moister more succulent interior :) Please less dough and more meat if we are going to carry on with the Pastie/Empanada Route. So excited to see this business have a storefront, especially during these difficult times. I first visited their store in Everson and bought a couple frozen pies on a whim when I was in the area. I was sold and have been buying them ever since. The crust is amazing, incredibly light and buttery, even at the crimped edges it's not too much or dry or overwhelming, it's actually the best part. It's light and flaky around the filling, and at times I don't know how it can be so light and her hold so much inside! I've tried quite a few. The chicken pot pie is savory and filled with lots of shredded chicken and veggies. The broccoli is everything you want in a cheesy broccoli filling. Hands down our favorite though is the Pot Roast, filled to the brim with tender shredded pot roast and vegetables in a savory thick gravy. We keep our freezer stocked with these and bake to fresh deliciousness, all you need is a salad. Just 20 minutes and they're ready! Go To Meat Pies is our Go To!! Our favorites are the BBQ Pork and Pork Empanadas, always fresh and delicious. Mom likes the Chicken Pot Pie and I occasionally grab a Jerk Chicken. We always try to have a couple of their pies in the freezer for those times when we don't want to venture out. The Everson shop only has a few tables; the Lynden shop is larger. The people that work at both stores are super nice! No beer or wine. Drinks are cans and bottles from a cooler, plus local coffee and a water cooler.
