I had an good experience for being my first time here. I got gel nails($25) and an eyebrow wax ($10). The gentleman that did my nails did an amazing job to ensure that my nails looked even. I had chosen a lighter color and he asked me if I wanted to go darker, which I did. I found my go to place for my nails and eyebrows on the east side of town! $35 +tip for gel nails and eyebrow, can't beat that. read more

I wanted to try a new salon near by, and came across this one only because it had really good reviews. I don't know if I went in on a bad day, but the reviews did not live up to my expectations. When I told them I didn't like my nails, the guys asked me what was wrong with them??? Really! He told me he will fix them quickly but they still didn't come out they way they were supposed to. They acted like they did nothing wrong because the guy kept telling me my nails were lumpy. Overall, I was not happy with my nails at all and I will not be returning here. First off I never write reviews. But the constant non stop up selling was totally irritating! The condescending attitude towards the customers who don't want all the extra things they're trying to sell you is a huge turn off. The quality of the work when you turn down the over selling was very poor. The technician I had actually cut my fingers with the file while she was filing. Today is the day after and they are bleeding. Not sure where to find a good respectful Nail salon but if you have a recommendation I would appreciate it. read more

I recently started going to OP Nail Salon. I've been there 3 times now, and will never go anywhere else! I've been to so many nail salons in Tucson. I always leave unimpressed and saddened that I paid for nails that aren't what I asked for or that don't look nice. I Googled nail spots by me and OP was one of the ones that popped up. My significant other and her daughter's all get their nails done here. They're really awesome. They keep their appointment times on-track (I know, because I'm the driver in all of these instances,) and they do a really nice job on their nails (I can also testify to that because my significant other will scratch my back!) But more importantly, they're experts in their craft at OP Nail, including the decorative art they'll add to their client's fingers/toes. Doesn't matter the occasion...the girls always come out of there with whatever holiday adornments are coming up on the calendar! The price is VERY reasonable as well (again, I know from paying at times!) OH, and they have gift certificates as well that "Santa" can deliver on Christmas. I'm sure the Easter Bunny will put them in baskets as well. The gift certificates can be purchased year-round. The staff is very friendly there, and it doesn't have an over-powering smell of chemicals (really nice!) I hope they never figure out that I know enough Vietnamese language to get by...but I can testify that they don't talk trash about their clients! :) read more

I read the reviews on here & decided to give this place a try since my go to nail lady moved to PHX. They greet you when you walk in, they have a wide selection of gel polish (DND brand) & regular polish also reasonable prices. Kelly at this shop did my gel mani/spa pedi ($50 total). She is very friendly, very knowledgeable & very good at her job. I tried the hologram gel nails (additional $10 for all nails or $5 for two nails) & I love it! Some of my snap chat fam loved it too! Not very professional, not sure if some one was filling in for the manager (which I did overhear) but it shows. I believe the son was left in charge and wasn't very capable of making last minute changes. Also felt like he had to over apologize, but he also was on social media during his service but besides that dude with the creepy smile, my experience was painful. Not only did I pay for a gel removal but it fucking hurt! Like my toes burned, then he went to town with the drill, THEN they used a coarse nail file to continue the removal. Throughout the process, he cut my cuticles several times. I def won't be going back, I usually hit Green Valley for my nails and I learned the hard way. :( read more

I get my shellac manicure here and have been pleased with the service. The place is clean and the nail technicians professional and friendly. If you're into really modern nail styles and nail art from what I've seen they're aren't too savvy with that, but they are willing to try new concepts if you bring any that aren't too overtop. I have been a customer for years. They're very kind--they took good care of my Mom who was very unsteady on her feet. (She passed away last year.) I love being able to call in for an appointment and know I'll be seen at that time. If you call in when you need to be seen, they will tell you the best time if they are busy right then. I have been coming to the OP Nail Salon by KJ for about a year & have consistently been pleased. Kevin & Jeannie are the owners, & they AND their staff are extremely personable and friendly. More importantly, this is an absolutely sterile, clean, & spotless environment!! During the pandemic, when shops were closed, the owners did a complete remodel. Thus, everything is now brand new; and while the original shop was charming, the current one (decorated in a modern/contemporary style) is breathtakingly gorgeous & totally relaxing!! Actually, I was there today (May 19, 2020) & realized that I was definitely in a healthy & safe setting. For example, someone was subtly cleaning at all times. Meanwhile, Kevin, who always does my nails (manicure dip & regular pedicure) gave his thorough, conscientious, & perfectionistic attention to my care, & this is typical of his work ethic. Indeed, whenever I'm in this salon, all clients always seem happy with the results of the services they received at the stations they were assigned. The level of professionalism, or lack there of, is astonishing!!! The salon offered old gel product, two of the colors I selected came out brown due to being old. The manager quickly tried pushing alternative colors, bragging that there were over 800 colors to choose from. I explained that the color I wanted was not available, I should not have to be stuck w a gel color for weeks that I don't like. The clear base coat was already applied, so I said to just leave it clear. Upon paying, I said that I should not have to pay for the gel because I wouldn't have opted for that had I known the color I selected would have come out brown. The manager became argumentative, accused me of haggling for a better price because I asked the when making my appointment. Inquiring a cost is not haggling, it's an informed decision. The manager began shaking her head towards other customers, as if she could not believe my behavior and needed their validation. I am very upset and appalled at this level of business operation. read more

I have been going to Kevin and Jeannie for over 20 years. Their salon is the cleanest in town, they have the friendliest technicians and this is the only place I will go. True pride of ownership in their salon, Kevin and Jeannie spare no expense as evidenced by the complete shop remodel that recently took place. They have the largest selection to choose from in terms of polish, dip and gel. They accept walk-in clients but making an appointment is the way to go if you want a particular technician or cannot wait. Cannot recommend highly enough. Five stars!!! read more

I tried the 'Natural dip' method for the first time and I love it! The process was so much easier than the gel process, no light necessary. I also love how I can't feel the polish on my nails. I will use this from now on as it also lasts longer than gel polish. read more

I was happy about going to get my nails done for the first time since having my twin daughters who will be 2 in November, before that it had been about 3 years. So imagine my excitement when my sister in law and I decided to go! Not so much. I had no problem waiting the "half hour" wait that turned into an hour wait just for a rushed pedicure. I was very dissatisfied with the fact that the man who did my nails didn't scrub my feet like others used to. Maybe he's just gentle but then they were talking to each other in their own language which would have been fine, if their coworker didn't look up at us which made it obvious that it was about us. Now we weren't angry or nasty customers. We were chit chatting before then so that hour of a wait was a breeze. The lady taking care of my SIL checked her iPhone 2 times(I know you're busy but come on!) and by the end of it we were behind a couple to pay when the lady who took care of my SIL walked a customer from the back and took her card payment ahead of ours. Then I asked her if she could take my payment and she looked annoyed and said the gentleman would take care of me. Needless to say I'm not going back there. The only thing I enjoyed was their chairs and the color I picked out. I can find better selections of each anywhere else. read more

I'm not one to write reviews but I had such a bad experience at this place. I went in for a shellaq manicure and the 2 colors I wanted were so old that my manucurist couldn't work with them. Then, their options being so limited, I had to choose the next best color which was nothing like what it looked like on the display. I asked the girl to please change it and the owner came and yelled at me saying that I could not change my mind or she would charge me a full set (even though there were only a few nails done at the time)I ended up getting a color that I disliked, the girl did not push or trim cuticles, no oil was applied, my nails were filed crooked, and their lotion sucked! Pretty much just went in there for a bad paint job and got yelled at! Needless to say I will never go back... read more

Tried this place out on the recommendation of some co-workers after having a horrible shellac manicure somewhere else that peeled off after 4 days. Ivy was wonderful. She shaped my nails exactly they way I like them and after a week they still look great. Tony gave me a fabulous french pedicure - again my nails were shaped just the way I liked them and the french was perfect - not uneven like previous frenches I've had.
