For a few weeks now the food here has been getting worse. Today I ordered 5 lamb gyros, greek potatoes, and cheese sticks. The meat on the gyros was dry and crumbled. I could not tell what the meat was - no taste whatso ever. The pita bread was stale. The greek potatoes were only partially cooked , and had no lemon or spices whatsoever. The cheese sticks were just hunks of fried breading, with very little cheese. Within the hour of picking up our food, I returned to the restaurant to talk with them only to have the big bald chef laugh at me. Something has changed here and we will not be back - a shame, as we have been coming here for many years. read more

The meat was good. First and only time there today. Called in for pick up. Seemed really busy but that was likely because of one big pushed together table from which a little girl left her seat to go behind the counter and refill her drink. Family of staff I guess. Souvlaki and gyro meat were the only thing we liked. The vegetables were really not good besides the overwhelming amount of raw red onion. Tomatoes tasted off and mushy. The salad was shredded very thin in an attempt to hide it being from the yellow bottom of the romaine heart. Very stale, very small store bought croutons. Over all a disappointment. The tzatziki tasted like watery ranch dressing. Friendly staff. Maybe I was there on an off day but I wouldn't recommend it unless you just want meat on a pita. read more

Went to this restaurant after finding it on Yelp. Place has indoor and outdoor seating. Falafels were shaped like footballs and were spiciest I've ever had. The French fries are $3.00 extra for sandwiches. But ours were unfortunately soggy. We didn't complain but were disappointed. Falafel burger was 10/10, just missing the fries to go with (you can order for an additional charge) the five dip app is so delicious and fresh although one suggestion is more where 3 pitas as there is plenty of dip where you need at least one more! I have been dying to try this place,as it's been highly rated and reviewed. I went on a Saturday to grab a sandwich to go. On the menu was Greek meatballs with tomato,onions and Tzatziki. I waited for under 10 minutes and they handed me a bag. Once I got into the car I unwrapped a messy tomato sauce laden soggy pita -no tomatoes, no onion . The huge meatballs were bland. So disappointing! I understand being busy- but sticking to the menu descriptions is kind of important. I don't think I'd ever go back. read more

Dear God was this place great!! I had the shrimp santorini pita which had this amazing tomato based sauce with translucent onions pieces of feta, and some juicy damn shrimp. I also had the avgolemono soup and we shared the Greek lemon potato wedges and a large Greek salad. The soup was very tasty and had more of a broth than lemon flavor. I personally would have liked a little bit more lemon in it. Either way it was amazing. The Greek salad was screaming fresh and had beautiful chunks of feta cheese and 3 dolmades. I visited this place while visiting family and when I come back, I will be returning!!! read more

We love Greek cooking and are frequently in Astoria queens Flushing Queens at all the Greek neighborhoods in New York City and nearby areas. Must say this was one of the most surprising terrific little Greek spots we can counter it anywhere. Who would've thought great Greek cooking exist in upstate New York. The Haddock Santorini style was amazing,The grilled calamari a special treat, and the taziki sauce one of the best I've ever had! Stopped in for lunch as my coworker mentioned they had good Greek food. I ordered their classic gyro to go. The meat was pretty dry and the pita kind of stale. Tzatziki sauce was on the side for take out, which is a nice touch but it was a little bland. Staff was extremely friendly and place was clean. Parking available as well. read more

I ate here with a friend recently. This place is an old pizzeria converted into a greek restaurant. The minute you walk inside you are greeted by the manager and seated. The place is a bit small so it's kind of tough for anyone to ignore you. It is still nice to see someone enthusiastic about a customer entering and willing to spend money in an establishment. We had an appetizer of grape leaves which were fresh and tasted very good. Too many places that have gape leaves drown them in vinegar. Not this place, which has a good mixture of olive oil and a hint of vinegar in them. My main course was lamb souvalaki with lemon potatoes and tahini sauce. Whenever I go to a greek restaurant I always try to order lamb to see if it is fresh, frozen or processed and in this case it was fresh. The lemon potatoes were roasted, skinless with a hint of lemony flavor. I liked the fact that they offer tahini sauce as well as tzauziki. The tahini sauce was way better. The lamb was grilled and very tasty. My friend took home an order of bread pudding which looked delicious. There were plenty of vegetables/salad with our meals and portion sizes are very good. They have a limited beer menu. Overall, I would give this place 4.4 stars. The reason it is not higher is only because the place is a bit small and it can get crowded in a moment's notice. Good food, good service and I will definitely be returning here. read more

Outrageous food - my husband and I moved in 2 weeks ago and have already eaten here 3 times. We've tried their shrimp, chicken, lamb, beef, sausage, and falafel - they know how to make great Greek food. I worked at a falafel cart in Portland - this is excellent falafel - crisp but not dry. Their beautiful meats are adorned with generous portions of fixings - no bs one little piece of lettuce, but a true accompaniment of lettuce, onion, tomato, and sauce. Amazing customer service - we dined in on Valentine's Day and watched as the owner spoke to every table. Someone pinch me - this can't be real! Fair pricing - not dirt cheap to the point where I'm skeptical, but also not overpriced to the point where I can't come back each week ;) Awesome business! read more

So I've been to quite a few restaurants quite a few upscale restaurants I should say and this particular Greek restaurant or Grill I just fell upon drove past it numerous times always said like to check that place out so my buddy Gin brought me in there one day for just a hamburger, now when you say hamburger you think it's just a hamburger totally not true when it comes to OGG this is by far the best burger I've ever had , in saying that I've had burgers all over this country and not one can touch the flavor of this man's burger ! Now that's just the burger the experience that I got with my buddy Jim at the police instantly made me feel a part of welcoming the energy of the place itself was addictive I've been back there quite a few times recently was out to dinner with my fiancé and my buddy Jim and his wife and it was a marvelous night when I say you get five star that Manhattan upper echelon's type feeling this is the place you'll get it the restaurant consumes you with joy and The most wonderful flavors you'll ever taste and to be completely honest the only reason why am writing this is that I'm sitting in the comforts of my home and my fiancé just brought me a burger some stuffed grape leaves and some fresh rice putting ....ooh soooo good ,what Manhattan five-star restaurant are you going to get that kind of flavor, impeccable service, and just some downright awesomeness. We really want to love this place! The food here does not seem fresh and is very salty. The spanakopita was sub par and we saw them take it out of the fridge where all the drinks are kept in the dining room, it was barely covered, gross! The waitress was really talkative but wasn't listening to us! She kept telling us what she likes and doesn't like and we ended up ordering her least favorite seltzer (grapefruit FYI). She was trash talking either another coworker or maybe her boss really loudly most of the time to another staff. The high point here are the fries and that's about it. Took the day off to drive from the city to go fruit and veg picking in Warwick today. First of all, I love this town. I've never been, but everyone I met at every single stop was nothing less than hospitable, kind, and gracious. Which leads me to Opa. After spending hours in the sun berry picking, we were parched and starved. Landed on Opa based purely on Yelp reviews and an image of the octopus appetizer. I was nothing short of thoroughly impressed with the food, quality, presentation and atmosphere. My boyfriend is from Astoria, so we've frequented many Greek restaurants around there, but I was absolutely blown away. We got the Greek fries, which were obviously made in-house, baked, and sprinkled with the right amount of feta and herbs. I mean I am a true BZ Grill fan, but their Greek fries are way too heavy. These fries were delightful and light. The octopus was delicious and perfectly cooked, with an amazing arugula and bean salad on the side. I also ordered the eggplant and garlic dip with warm pita, killed the entire batch. My boyfriend got the classic gyro and really enjoyed his meal. The food tasted just as fresh as the produce we saw on the farms, and the service was impeccable. I would come back to Warwick for sure, this is a great town! Fantastic Authentic small Greek restaurant. It's blue and white tiled decor make you feel like you're in the Mediterranean. But more so, the quality of food, it's truly authentic and bursting with flavor. The gyro meat is cut right there it's not dry, very moist, the salad is hitting all taste buds.
