Great place for Brunch in Black Mountain! My husband and I really enjoyed our breakfast at this cozy, but lively place tucked away just a block off Main Street. It has a nice, shaded patio and a quaint indoor area as well. Lots of delicious menu options, including my favorite, the new vegan "Heavenly Hash." I've been vegan for a number of years and this was hands down, one of the best breakfasts I've had. Roasted sweet and red potatoes, spinach, carmelized onion and peppers, homemade vegan mushroom and lentil patty (delicious!), drizzled with lemon tahini sauce and topped with two plant based eggs and fresh avo. Amazing!!! It's a lot of food, so my husband and I split it along with an avocado sourdough toast with sprouts, cucumbers, red onion and capers..... perfect combination for brunch. The rest of the menu looks outstanding, including variations of eggs benedict, omelettes, waffles, shrimp and grits, biscuits and gravy...you name it. Nice looking sandwiches as well. This is our new favorite sport in Black Mountain for breakfast: great menu, delicious food, quick (and friendly) service! My family sat out on the patio and really enjoyed the outdoor dining option. It's order at the counter and you take a number to your table. I was pleasantly surprised with how quick our food arrived. It was all perfectly cooked and really good. I highly recommend the iced coffee and baked goods (including the toast on house made bread). They have a few high chairs available and it was an easy spot to go with a toddler. It's easy to find street parking within a block of the restaurant and there are even a few spots right out front. read more

We ate here twice on a long weekend stay for the holidays to distance visit our family. The food and service are both excellent. They have a nice balance of sweet and savory items and handled carry out very efficiently. Its a real treat if you can get a house made pop tart. I'm an eggs Benedict snob, and this is the best I've ever had. The eggs were poached to perfection. The hollendaise sauce was excellent! I usually don't eat potatoes off the plate and I ate every last one of them. They were toasted in thyme and a dash of salt....yumm! I also ordered a side of bacon, it was crispy and fresh! I wanted to go here and dragged hubs along. He's more of a diner type of guy and wants his "normal" breakfast. This is one of those newer and fresher takes on breakfast and I was pretty happy with it but I could tell he wasn't. Not their fault, ha! We were able to get seating no problem and both had their standard breakfast with home fries (delicious and well-seasoned) and I had the tempeh bacon. Historically I haven't been a massive fan of all things tempeh but I figure they're always improving the fake meats so why not try it again. At first I was turned off by it. It definitely didn't taste like bacon or anything else I'm used to. I adore the beyond meat round sausage Patties, I'd recommend them instead. Even my hubby will eat them which is the test for all substitute meat items. Regardless the darn tempeh grew on me and by the end I was hooked. Now I think I actually want some more. The service was super slow, looks like they had only a few people working. I generally don't mind waiting but being stuffed inside a small restaurant during COVID wasn't the greatest since you have to go up and order your food at the counter. They give you a number and bring it out to you, so once your order is in you can sit at any of the outdoor tables. 3 are under a covering. The bourbon street waffle was a dessert for breakfast, yum! And their eggs Benedict were pretty good. Breakfast potatoes were tasty with good amount of seasoning. This place is a MUST if you are looking for breakfast places in Black Mountain. The food is delicious and the presentation is beautiful which you don't typically expect for breakfast. We visited recently and had the Breakfast Stack with fried green tomatoes, asparagus & hollandaise sauce and the Black Mountain Bene (both pictured here). The staff is very friendly and welcoming, always greeting you as you walk in the door. There is plenty of seating inside as well as on the outdoor patio if weather permits. Super cute small restaurant. We had to wait a maximum of 15 mins to get a table which was awesome because they were super busy. They have a case of baked goods at the register where you place your order and everything looks amazing. After placing your order, you get your drinks and go to the number table they assign you. Wow! I almost never write reviews, but we stopped in for brunch today on our way out of Asheville and this place blew my socks off. We got the southern omelette with the pimento cheese grits which were *chefs kiss* perfect. We also got a Belgian waffle which was delicious and came with the best bacon I've ever had.
