Open road is a great place in the heart of Rosslyn. It can get busy during lunch time and after 5PM as there are many employees in the area who come here. I absolutely love their blackened chicken cesar salad and their open road burger.

A super delicious meal with extraordinary service by Raevon. He was so patient and helpful, just top notch. This is simply a gem find of a restaurant with great energy and an excellent staff. Try the Mediterranean Bowl. I was sad when it was gone.

One of the best places to get shrimp and grits! Flavorful and good texture. Location is nice and can accommodate groups (we had 11 in our group). Street parking is available. Kid friendly

Nice little stop for lunch if you're coming or going to Arlington cemetery. The interior is very nice! American fare menu, I opted for a bowl of chili paired with a Caesar salad. Both were good! Service was slow however in a virtually empty restaurant around 2:30 pm. So that was a little disappointing. Nice spot tho, would come again and try some of their in house brews!

Me and my sister came here for dinner. Started off ok with a really nice hostess seating us and taking your appetizer order. We got the nachos that were sweet and spicy with the fresh jalapeños. I really liked them with the chicken added. After that, it was down hill. We never had a server come back for our order so we had to ask someone who our waiter was so they could take our order. I think they were short staffed but there wasn't any communication going on to make sure people were being taken care of. I ordered lemon pepper wings and a side of fries. I don't recommend. Fries came out warm and wings were over cooked with hardly any lemon pepper on them. If you want to get a nice beer, it's probably a good spot to try but otherwise, I personally would pass.

This is a great spot to come into if you are in the Rosslyn area. They have a very decent happy hour and the food has always been consistently great during each of my visits. I am a huge fan of wings and this place does not disappoint. The service is very friendly. Indoor and tented outdoor seating are available which is nice for the hot days. If you are going during the week after work be sure to arrive early as it can get crowded with company happy hours. The ambiance is always great and not too loud for conversations with friends.

It's a solid, middle of the (open) road, experience. Free popcorn, plenty of seating, and decent service. The covered patio is excellent whether you're alone or with friends. I've dined with Open Road three times now and I feel comfortable saying it's solidly OK. The portions are fair, the prices are city prices, and the food is good. It's not knock-your-socks-off fantastic. The service could be a little more prompt (the water will be empty for a while). The experience is similar to that of a chain restaurant and that's why I'm a 3. Highlight from this past trip: bruschetta, bruschetta, bruschetta. Absolutely delicious. We ordered mac & cheese and bruschetta for the table and an assortment of burgers, fries, a poboy, and salad. Again, wouldn't discourage anyone from making a visit. There's something on the menu here for everyone.

Hearty food that is creative and well done! We loved the brussel sprouts as an app and my turkey burger was perfectly cooked. They also served popcorn instead of bread, which was a fun and tasty switch up. Service was fast and friendly. Atmosphere was busy but not loud and very clean. Would recommend!

Good American cuisine. Had the crispy chicken Cobb salad and really enjoyed it. My colleague had the shrimp poboy and it looked really good too. Good lunch spot

I have been here a few times mostly with coworkers for the happy hour for a group meal. Good food and service each time I've visited. It's located right by the Rosslyn Metro station. There's indoor and outdoor seating available and plenty of bar seats if you walk in. It can get busy during happy hour so keep that in mind you are are visiting without a reservation.

Attended with a 25+ group. Friends quoted below who participated. This was a group effort! 4/5 Service was very attentive and managed the large party extremely well. 3/5 Ambiance: generic urban 3/5 Food: Brussel sprouts w blue cheese: good combo of crunch of brussel sprouts and creamy blue cheese. 9/10 4/10 Calamari and peppers: very spicy. Over cooked 6/10 Braised short rib: very tender- but under seasoned. Mashed potatoes and fired onion ring were good. Desserts: over all "To die for" 7/10 Peanut butter pie "silky" "Subtle nuanced flavor" mousse texture. Not heavy 8/10 Bread pudding: surprisingly good. complex flavors. Not too soggy. 9/10 Vodka mojito- amazing. Super fresh. Smooth. Delicious but not too sweet.

I love a good chicken and waffles so I was eager to try them out. I got to try the regular classic, peach ,and sample the Mac and cheese waffle. They were decent and I enjoyed what I had but it didn't move me to chorus. The fried green tomatoes were delicious. The biscuits for a cause were incredible. Hands down my favorite. Warm, fluffy, and paired perfectly with the jam and butter. The roasted half bird dish was a item on the special menu. They had a special on mimosas and had a few different dishes that weren't on the regular menu. The chicken was juicy and seasoned well. The green beans were nice and savory. Though the Mac and cheese left a bit to be desired. They complemented the dish but the green beans were definitely the standout. All in all, I'm not disappointed that I went but I can't say that I would return on my own accord. It's a very popular restaurant but I found the food to be a bit mid unfortunately.

When we made the reservation in advance, we called to ask if happy hour was everywhere or just at the bar; they said everywhere, so we booked a table. Plot twist, it's only at the bar / downstairs :))) We arrived 15 minutes early, so while they got our table ready, we ordered at the bar. 5 stars for the bartender. If I could review her, the host, and the happy hour prices in isolation, I would! They moved us upstairs, we sat down, and immediately saw the menus were different. We asked the gentleman bringing waters about happy hour and he sent the waiter over. The waiter, with about 2% helpfulness, shared that happy hour is only downstairs. I mentioned that we had called in advance to ask. We asked if it would be possible to have that menu or perhaps move. The conversation felt like pulling teeth. He said, with much dismissiveness, it was up to the host downstairs to move and if they had availability and left. (Fair, we move, he doesn't get his tip. An alternative? Give us the happy hour menu, still get your tip. Better yet, just be slightly helpful?) The host downstairs found us a table but shared it was booked at 6:15 so we needed to be in and out. It was no problem because we had arrived before 5 (early, remember?). Although, it took 15 minutes (I timed it!) for anyone to come bring waters or address us as their table. A little hard to operate with urgency when no one takes your order!! I got up, told the host stand, and they sent a server over, and he proceeded to come back all of three times. We also had to flag him down to get our check, while we sat with empty waters that were never once refilled. We had pizza, cod sliders, and half orders of aglio e olio pasta. The cod sliders were more breadding than fish, but the flavor was decent. The pasta was delicious. No five star Italian meal, but it hit the spot and the portion was plentiful. I didn't try the pizza but it was 12 inches, piping hot, and the two eating it couldn't finish it. The food came out quickly and hot. I think we spent under or just about $100 for four folks to have dinner + drinks, so the prices are really solid. Perhaps you get what you pay for though? Both of our male servers seemed annoyed to be dealing with us and mostly unhelpful. Noteworthy mention: there was a female server who was kind enough to bring us a brown paper bag for our to go box. She was running around and her tables seemed well cared for. Disappointed in my experience and the customer service.

That thoughtfulness is one of the many reasons I was excited to try it. When we arrived, I was initially concerned after learning that the "G" on the menu indicated dishes **containing** gluten rather than being gluten-free. Since many menu items were marked with a "G," I worried my options would be very limited, especially for the unlimited brunch experience. Thankfully, our server, Emma, immediately put me at ease. She brought me the food allergy menu, answered my questions with patience, and made sure I understood what was safe for me to enjoy. While my husband and I were deciding whether to stay, the manager, Antonio, came to our table after Emma shared my dietary concerns. His kindness completely changed the experience. He took the time to explain my options, offered to have the kitchen modify several dishes, and reassured me that their goal was for me to feel safe and enjoy my meal. Thanks to Emma and Antonio, what started with uncertainty became one of the most enjoyable brunch experiences I've had. I was able to enjoy a variety of delicious dishes, the mimosas were a great value, and the restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful, with floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the space with natural light. What I'll remember most, though, is how genuinely cared for I felt. Before we left, Antonio stopped by one last time to make sure I was happy with my meal and that all of my needs had been met. My husband had put so much love and intention into choosing this restaurant, and thanks to Emma and Antonio, we both left with happy hearts and full bellies.
