    Spinach Dip GF*

Last-minute restaurant choice, but it didn't disappoint. We arrived an hour before the kitchen closed. The server was friendly. Food was served quickly and hot. The mambo wings were very good and sizable. The chicken sandwich was well fried with a nice spice. My partner enjoyed the burger as well! We also tried the spinach dip. It was mostly spinach, but still flavorful.

Solid breakfast spot in Georgetown. Have been here a couple of times for lunch but def wanna try more things on the menu besides the sandwiches!

The best bar in DC!!! We love Billy hicks, the service is fantastic, the food and drinks always hit. Never skip a chance to come here!

Such a cute spot sitting at the corner of a busy Georgetown block. This place looks like a British pub with its cute decor but the bathroom can use some renovations because the paint was falling. However, it's definitely the place where you could enjoy great brunch or sit at the bar and enjoy the game on one of their big screens. I was able to grab a seat without reservations but from the look of things, it was pretty packed in there so I'd likely advise that you make reservations online. Shoutout to our waiter Desha. He was managing several tables but doing it all with a smile and excellent service. My boyfriend ordered a latte and I ordered their French martini. He enjoyed his drink but wished that the sweetener added was mixed in and not settled at the bottom of the mug. My French martini was a refreshing drink, very subtle in taste. For food I ordered the Bfast Sandie....O-M-G! Talk about a scrumptious breakfast sandwich and delicious breakfast potatoes on the side. The croissant was buttery soft and the eggs were fluffy and bursting with flavor. The bacon had a sweet aftertaste, pulling this sandwich together well. I loved it! The breakfast potatoes on the side were sinfully good as well. Honestly something I wouldn't mind indulging in everyday lol My boyfriend ordered the steak and eggs and he raved that it was excellent! I'm looking forward to visiting this spot again because I love a good restaurant where I can enjoy some bites.

Came for dinner on a crowded Friday night. Cute bar area and decor with a casual diner/cafe vibe. We snagged a booth and so glad because the cafe tables are really packed in tightly! Service was excellent despite a packed house. Food was pretty average and overpriced, but it is Georgetown I guess. We ordered the bang bang shrimp to start, and I had the Caesar salad with salmon which was overcooked. Both were sub par. Cocktails were very sweet.

Everything we tried was excellent. The short rib was rich and tender, the hot chicken sandwich was a standout, and the thin-cut fries are easily some of the best I've had in DC. The steak salad is a solid option if you want something lighter, and the gnocchi truly tastes handmade. Highly recommend starting with the pretzel and the bang bang shrimp. The space is cozy and usually pretty busy, but the servers are friendly and keep things moving. A great spot for a relaxed dinner that still delivers on quality.

Reservations were made for a Saturday night. Upon entering immediately noticed the place was fully packed and loud. Tables were close to each other. No room to walk in between. I approached the booth to check in and 3 employees continued being busy. Food was ok and overpriced. Doesn't seem like I would want to dine in at again.

Cute spot for lunch with a great menu--so many good options it was hard to choose. The salads especially looked popular and delicious! But we were hangry. Sliders- came a little well done. Blackened Chicken sandwich- my husband was happy with his choice BLT- I should have said easy on the mayo or mayo on the side. But it was ok. It comes with fries, they were nice and crispy. They have nice menu options so we would definitely return. Service is friendly but seemed a bit overwhelmed too.

Definitely one of the best happy hours I've been to in DC in a while. A $9 mango crush and $5 chicken tenders with fries was a steal. My friend and I sat at the bar for a catch up chat over happy hour and the bartender was kind and attentive. The place wasn't overpacked for a Thursday happy hour on a nice day, but it was still lively and casual inside. Recommend for a place to catch up with a friend before stroking through the rest of Georgetown

Stumbled across Billy Hicks after a day of exploring Georgetown. When I walked in, it was packed. There was a slight wait, but had the opportunity to hang out at the bar for no more than 20 minutes, before being seated on the patio. Shoutout to the server D'Shae! I asked about the sandwich selections and could not have been happier with his recommendations. I love when a server is attentive, but not bothersome. NOW... let's get into the food! All the items came out in a decent amount of time and made with care. The sandwich was delicious and filling (with a side), the balsamic glaze on the brussel sprouts was a perfect touch, and the french fries were fresh and covered in parmesan!

I stopped by Billy Hicks in Georgetown to try their espresso martini, that my coworker has been raving about. It's called the Study Buddy. I asked the bartender if it was made with freshly brewed espresso and she said yes. I'm not a regular coffee drinker, but it didn't taste like brewed espresso. It did have a bold, rich, and smooth espresso like flavor. The bold aftertaste leaned more toward a coffee flavored liqueur. I also tried the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer, which the bartender highly recommended. While I appreciated the suggestion, I didn't love the pairing with the drink. The flavors just didn't complement each other. The shrimp itself wasn't quite my style, but that's more personal taste than anything. Overall, the service was friendly, the atmosphere was nice, and I'd definitely return to try a full dining experience and explore more of their menu.

I've always walked past Billy Hicks, but decided to swing by for their drink options. I ordered a matcha latte with oatmilk and to be honest wasn't impressed. My beverage tasted primarily of milk and barely any matcha. Service was also quite slow. The only reason for the 4 stars was how good the menu looked and pastry options. I didn't grab any but I spoke to a few customers and they spoke highly of their food. When you walk in, you can smell how good some of the food is. I also really like the decor. Would definitely come back for a dine-in option.

I tried a lot of different foods during my visit here, but I only really liked the strawberry shortcake and a short rib quesadilla. My drinks were too sweet. There wasn't a good balance between alcohol and syrup. I did order salmon, but it was a little overcooked. Parking in this area is horrible considering it Georgetown.

Finding wine from this region is very rare -- but this spot had several options to choose from. It also includes a great range from across the country and some of the best wine regions around the world. They even sell one of my favorite wines from a small producer is Paso Robles that is even hard to find in Southern California. They have a wonderful wine selection as well as non-alcoholic options such as Ghia soda. Being a longtime Californian, I loved the many options to try these non-alcoholic drinks known as Nootropics, aka herbal drinks that give you a relaxed feeling without the hangover. It's definitely not a buzzed feeling but more of an inner calm if you want to chill and wake up refreshed the next morning. The wines are reasonably priced. They also have a wide range of hard liquors. I'm not a heavy booze drinker so mostly come here for the wines and the Ghia soda. But it seems to be a nice selection on the hard liquor side as well.

July 2026: I recently went back to Namak to try their new Sunday brunch with a couple of friends…read moreand enjoyed it immensely. We were seated immediately and had outstanding service from start to finish. We all shared the pikilia (sampler of all five spreads), all of which were delicious with special kudos for the labne and the muhamarra. I got the Adana for my main dish, which was outstanding. The lamb was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the sumac onions provided delicious crunch and flavor, the rice was well-done, and the lavash was the perfect accompaniment for the lamb. I also got the Turkish coffee which was solid, and split the coffee cake with a friend. While the coffee cake was fine, it tasted more like a honey or spice cake instead of a coffee cake. I look forward to my next visit to Namak! July 2024: A great addition to the Adams Morgan dining scene! My friend and I recently went here for a weekend dinner and were seated immediately at our reservation time. It was extremely busy when we initially arrived; however, after an initial service snafu (which our server apologized for), we received outstanding service with our dishes coming out in a timely manner. Namak's ambiance is lovely, with blue-and-white tiling, lots of natural light, wood tables, and Greek, Turkish, and Persian decorations. Namak automatically includes a 20 percent service charge and clearly indicates this charge on their menu and receipt, which I appreciated. Namak also has plenty of vegetarian options. My friend and I split the four dishes listed below: Kuru Patlican Dolmasi: An OK dish with well-cooked rice but there was too much salt and there was minimal flavor other than the sauce (there needed to be more sauce). Ahtapot: A phenomenal dish, Michelin-star caliber in presentation and execution, and one of my five favorite dishes I have had at a restaurant this year. The octopus was prepared and grilled perfectly-the best octopus I have ever had. The carrot puree was aesthetically stunning and provided excellent sweetness and freshness, with the pickled onions adding acidity and crunch. The greens on top added further brightness and flavor to the dish. Finally, the blue tilework on the plate below capped off a beautiful array of colors for the dish. It is worth coming to Namak just for the Ahtapot-it was that good. Ispanakli Pide-Another delicious plate, with the pide excellently baked, the right amount of fresh spinach and dill, and the perfect amount of feta to complement the other ingredients. Roasted Cauliflower-While the cauliflower was perfectly cooked, it needed a bit less salt and far more tahini, za'atar, and pomegranate seeds. I would have paid $2-3 more for the dish to make it outstanding if there had been substantial tahini and pomegranate seeds at the bottom. My friend and I split the Anatolian cheesecake for dessert. While the sour cherry compote was delicious, I was disappointed that I couldn't taste the Turkish yogurt and Greek feta. I look forward to my next visit to Namak!

The pita bread was the best thing in the meal. I think we got the muhammara spread. I can't remember. The zucchini fritters were dry, the spinach was cold, and the trout was bland. However, the decor is beautiful! The bar is very romantic!
