My company provides observations during construction of new buildings and renovations requiring me to be gone from home multiple months at a time. With hotel costs constantly increasing and lack of livability in a hotel I decided to purchase a camper. I shopped around and went to five different dealers, no one made me feel like a priority like Open Roads did. Monte was absolutely phenomenal and very knowledgeable also being very accommodating to my needs and concerns. I'm green to camping and this is going to be a second home for me while I'm working. We bought a 32 ft camper last year and have had several warranty issues that needed to be fixed before we could go camping. We took it in and was told that it would probably be a couple of weeks. They kept our camper for over a month causing us to have to cancel 3 of our scheduled trips. They didn't bother to tell us that we could have taken it with us and returned it once the parts came in. We finally contacted the Warranty company ourselves and learned that the last item (outdoor refrigerator) should be there the next day. Then found out that they had not even started on the repairs for all of the other issues and the parts were there! We picked it up so we could go on camping, but here it is over two weeks later and we have not been contacted about the refrigerator door latch for the main fridge. We would not recommend Open Roads RV to anyone who might need their camper serviced. read more

I took in for service, AC Check, ABS Light coming on and off, and wanted water system checked for leaks and water heater condition. I got sold a new roof membrane/ Coating. That was fine needed done. What I got was caulk around vents and AC and was charged 1300$ for caulk. I wanted oil change brakes inspected. I drove 10 miles out of service department and my check engine light came on. Shortly after ABS sensor came back on. In total I was charged 3600$, and now I have to take it somewhere else to get same work done. DO NOT GO HERE FOR SERVICE! read more

Quite disappointed with our experience here. We bought a used 2021 Flagstaff Microlite back in April 2022. Quite attentive and accommodating group of people during the sale process. We told them prior to the sale that we will not be able to pick up the RV until the following month and they nonchalantly said it's not a problem, we will make sure that RV is clean and ready to go when you pick it up the following month. Lo and behold, the RV looked untouched since we first looked at it. The little imperfections and dirt we pointed out back in April were still there and not fixed. BIGGEST AND MOST DISAPPOINTING of all, the gray and black tank had not been emptied, flushed and treated. We had to tell them every single thing that needed to be done and it made us feel like we're inconveniencing them on such a busy day. This is our first RV so we were very green, didn't realize that we drove 5 hours with our fresh water tank 2/3 full. It's our fault for not looking, I know. But seriously, should I have given them a checklist? Have they not sold a used RV before? read more

Said he was shocked it was unlocked. they usually keep them locked. Described the camper we wanted to look at. Went to find it. I could not remember the model number. But knew the make. He opened the door and just stood there. if you need to figure out a model, or want to look at different floor plans. Save yourself time and go to Campers Inn or Three Way. Campers are a big investment so I understand keeping doors locked, but give customers space to discuss and be in a camper. read more

I spent 7 hours roundtrip to look at a used $60k DRV 5th wheel at their Acworth location today. I confirmed the unit was on the lot before leaving the house, they knew full well the drive that we were making to see the rv. Got there as soon as I stepped into the rv I was hit with the smell of wet dog, and within a minute of being in the rv I noted a soft wall under a window from a leak. Mind you the salesperson the week before offered and sent a video of the unit, never any mention of a rotted wall. This unit was not priced under retail, and the salesperson indicated that they had no idea of the leak / rotted wall. I intend to watch the price of this unit to see if they knock it down significantly to reflect the damage I found with minimal inspection of the unit. read more

If I could give a negative rating I would . Worst experience buying a travel trailer from open roads . I bought a 2018 heritage glen wildwood . Long story short the shop guys did an inspection and it was priced for a trailer that had essentially NO issues and I stupidly believed them when they said they did the inspection . WRONG . I was told all it needed was a new roof . Caleb the manager of sales jacked my prices up $2,000 to get it fixed . I agreed believing they would fix it right . I signed my papers and they had my camper for two months and I got it back . I picked it up and Caleb made a remark about they guy who traded in told them about water damage and open roads new ...3 weeks down the road the front bedroom by hitch had a destroyed wall from the water along with the front cap being destroyed as well. (New water AFTER the new roof) . Along with that The super slide out floor was ruined and they replaced it twice because I guess their motto is do it half ass first and than do it correctly when the customer finds the half ass work and has to call the owner Drew. I took my camper in for the second time and they had it for 6 1/2 months this go round . I received my camper back again knowing it was going to still not be fixed right but I was tired of their shitty work and hired someone to do it right considering they had my camper 9 out of 10 months that I've owned it. They returned it with the diamond plate at the bottom of the cap not screwed in and with insulation exposed, water heater didn't work , awning didn't work either. I never had leaks before leaving it in their possession and it came back with 3 leaks . The communication within sales and I was absolutely horrendous . If you call to get answers you can expect to never get a call back . My advice : hire someone to inspect your unit before buying it because they will screw you over like no other . read more

First they offered a great price on a used 2020 Thor aria and even through all the drama of selling our crazy hangar home with more inspections and examinations by the buyers bank which delayed us 26 days!!!! Run don't walk away from this company, they are a joke with so many incompetent employees who lack simple customer service skills. They had our KZ Escape March-August until the manufacturer decided they would do the repairs because Open Roads was incapable of doing to which they completed in only 3 weeks. Open Roads will give you the complete run around and make promise after promise (the owner told us he would make things right because God put him on the Earth to serve others then we never heard from him again). The transport company dropped our unit off yesterday and all we got was an email that I happened to see. My husband went and picked the unit up and no one knew why he was there then finally someone else came out, handed him our keys and walked off without offering a walk through or anything. We were told when the unit came back in it would be reinspected by Open Roads through their QC and be completely detailed. We were handed keys to a dirty camper that was not even looked over and sent on our way. Trust these negative reviews regarding them, it is that bad of a nightmare to work with these people. Our camping dreams have been an absolute nightmare because of the bad service dept., poor management, switching the blame, no oversight of service. I can go on and on. Don't bring your camper here you will be frustrated, disappointed, mad, ready to lose your mind with these people. Oh and if they give you a warranty on anything, don't count on it being honored because it won't be. Nothing they tell you is the truth, it's just said to get you off their back. One department doesn't know what the other dept. has done.... BEWARE!!!! if anything is damaged or stolen while your camper is on their property your insurance will have to compensate you. We had our catalytic converter stolen over the Christmas holidays on their property and we were out of pocket $1249. They have no fence around the property it's wide-open. All of this has taken place the last three years with this company. They are no better maybe even worse, than Camping World, Rv Inn just to name a couple. They can't even get a simple, toilet seat put on the camper in the right color. When you order white they put beige on it. I would give the service department minus 5 stars if I could. They called us Two weeks after they had it the first time. They stated we had roof damage. There is no way we damaged the roof, but we couldn't prove it. We paid a good bit of money this last time. They didn't call to tell us it was ready. I had to call them. They DID NOT fix our slide, yet they charged us for it. We have to drive a at least an hour to take it each time. I have called for several weeks to speak to the manager there. (He also was the one who sold this same camper to us Two years ago). I have left several messages for him to call me back, and he has failed to call me. DO NOT BUY THE LIFE TIME WARRANTY. IT DOES NOT COVER A LOT OF THINGS. I even had a person who works there tell me it was not worth it. Camper has had many issues that I have eventually repaired myself due to the fact that it sat on their lot for months with nothing repaired. When they finally repaired one issue it was done incorrectly. All repairs were under warranty since this was a brand new Thor Quantum. Service Dept is the worst. Called to check on a Zinger 331model & before you know it, they have asked for a NON- REFUNDABLE deposit of $2500! Received a scribbled-on receipt on which the model number was the wrong one! No other info was on the receipt. Come to find out, it was the only one left of their 2020 models. Note that we were interested only in a 2021 model 331bh & this was 333bd. Not even close! Salesman tried to insist that the bd model had same features as the bh model- wrong! We are now in a disputed situation trying to get back our deposit. Our advise is to steer clear of this company. Worst experience I have ever had with any business. I dropped off my class a to have it serviced (oil change, check air and fuel filter). I also wanted the generator serviced and the serpentine belt replaced. When I went to pick it up, they insisted I wanted, a full open roads inspection and a full chassis inspection ($250 ea.). When I refused to pay it, they wanted to hold my RV. $694 for an oil change and generator service. Both of the people who worked in the service department were very rude, I was told multiple excuses, lied to, and treated like they didn't care. Stay away! Far away! read more

We had purchased an older popup style camper in need of repairs. They were relatively close and decided to give them a try. A mistake. After about 3 weeks and wondering what was going on we were told that parts were hard to come by as the reason for the delays. Our main problem was a cracked roof that we found out was a problem with these campers. Some issues were resolved. The fixed roof lasted one outing. We took it back to them to refit the problem. 2 MONTHS later we were informed that roof could not be fixed. You think that could have been found out a little quicker. Other issues that were outstanding and not fixed were discovered on a setup of the camper later on. Needless to say we were very disappointed. This place is a complete joke. If you find an RV you like...run, don't walk somewhere else to buy it. You will be TOTALLY screwed if you deal with Open Roads RV. I purchased a used unit (not a cheap one mind you) and had to wait more than 3 weeks for my "delivery". They add on over $1200 for this service to detail, replace batteries, and fill propane tanks (probably costs them $500 or less). They called me at 5:30pm on Friday before I am to pick up my unit at 9A the next morning to tell me there is a problem. Really?? Call me at 5:30pm the night before my delivery! I went over anyway for my scheduled walk-through appointment as who knows how long it would take to get back in the rotation. Keep in mind they supposedly had gone over my camper with a fine tooth comb to note anything needing attention. The guys almost broke the bracket off my outside TV while trying to FORCE it to move. One of many items clearly not checked ahead of time. I found 4 additional items that were broken during the walk-through. Seriously? You just charged me $1200+ and made me wait over 3 weeks and I was STILL finding items that needed to be addressed. I am still awaiting a call to advise what they found out about the problem they waited until the 11th hour to discover. Again, DO NOT purchase so much as a water hose from this place or you will be sadly disappointed and screwed! And, don't expect help from ANYONE. We bought our rv almost 2 years ago. The sales mgr is no longer there. We were assured of so many things, this being our first rv purchase. I think I know why the sales mgr is no longer there. Anything to close the sale. I asked if the loan was a simple interest. Sure it was. Don't think the guy had a clue about what a simple interest loan was. Nope. This loan is not simple interest. So, come 3 year anniversary, will be refinancing for a simple interest loan. The reason this has a 3 star review is that the sales rep, Ryan, was excellent. The sales and service department personnel are pretty good but if you give them a list of things to take care of, make sure you check all those things before you leave. I bought an Rv here and naturally used their service dept., big mistake. They are ALWAYS short staffed! Scheduled my unit to be cleaned, took it in. I always leave sodas and waters in the fridge, so when I picked it up and took it out I wasn't alarmed to find water bottles in the fridge. Now sometimes my Hubby will refil the water bottles (we have a filter in our unit) So we are camping I grab a bottle and wow, what is wrong with THIS? Someone had left water bottles filled with vodka in the fridge! Now we just bought the unit, maybe used it twice and we don't drink! I was concerned but just threw them out, i obviously should have complained but I didn't. The next time I took my rv in requesting that the anode in the hot water heater be replaced and that my refrigerator wasn't working right. They convinced my husband that it needed the complete water system flushed and that would fix the problem, and the refrigerator was working fine for them. ‍ ok. Picked rv up, headed out on a 10 day trip only to discover the first night that the fridge WASN'T working fine, had to throw everything out of the freezer. So now we're going to try to live out of a cooler? Fine, I'm going to take a shower now that the mess is cleaned up, but the hot water heater WASN'T fixed! They had my motorhome for about 4 weeks!! Needless to say I was a tad frustrated, called in, no problem we'll get it fixed, call me when you get back we will get you right in. Got back, 2 week wait, NOPE. Taking it somewhere else. I made a deal to buy an rv and sent Open Roads Complete $10,000 down on the rv I selected. They called 2 later and said they needed another $5000 as they would not sell it to me at the agreed upon price. It is now readvertised under the same stock number as I bought, 4830, at a price $5000.00 more than they were selling it to me for. And they still have my earnest money. Apparently giving them a down payment on an agreed upon and advertised price at the time, means nothing to them. This is an egregious practice, and certainly shows them to be untrustworthy. read more

Traveling on I75 North with a stay over at Walmart when we experienced a slideout failure. We contacted Open Roads RV of Acworth and they had us bring the Super C in. They worked us in for immediate repairs and also handled the warranty connections. We did have to wait for parts to be overnighted but they had us back on the road in less than 40 hours. First time in 16 years a dealership has treated us so nicely. read more

I just started Rving and have started purchasing things for our RV. I have bought a couple of things from their White Ga location. I decided to go to the Acworth Ga location to see it even though it's a 40 mile trip to the Acworth location for me. I purchased a surge protector. After calling my wife to let her know I had went and picked up one. She informed me that she had the same one from Walmart for $85. I paid $150 so I stopped at the White location to return it. I was told I would have to return it at the Acworth location. Here I'm trying to be a customer and I'm being told No. This is very poor customer service. Then I seen almost a $13 dollar charge and question the parts guy. He said I was for shipping where they had it on the shelf. So then I'm even more shocked. I'm in the Automotive Parts business if we done that kind of charge we would never have customers. I know our parts include for shipping and labor. But it's almost twice the price of anyone else and then the add on. I will never patronize this company again. read more

This place has saved the day on multiple occasions. RV life is amazing but these vehicles always require a ton of maintenance. Open roads RV and their amazing staff have squeezed me in to fix my generator, freshwater tank, perform oil changes, and maintenance check ups. Dennis specifically, has provided amazing customer service while dealing with scheduling, appointments, and follow up. I am extremely happy with their service and would definitely recommend that anyone with an issue with their RV call and make an appointment right away. read more

After purchasing a new GeoPro from them and taking 1 short weekend trip we took note of several warranty items that needed to be addressed prior to our next trip. Our TV quit working, the tub drain did not function, the wiring for our back up camera did not work, and our running lights necessary for driving at night do not work. I dropped my camper off May 10th for the warranty work as well as some add ons, a bike rack and additional battery. I was promised I would be kept updated, and I was not. Each time I called for an update reminding them I had a trip coming up mid June, they would either promise to call me back and wouldn't, or would lie to me completely. Here we are 4 days prior to leaving for our trip, and scheduled to pick up TOMORROW and they called me explaining they had a fire, and I will need to reschedule my work...meaning ALL my work including the warranty items. They had not even begun the process necessary to submit the warranty items to the manufacturer. Here I am with a brand new camper, that I cannot enjoy because I cant drive it on a long distance trip with the risk of driving without my lights. Their handling of this is completely unacceptable, and had I know my camper would just be sitting, unable to be used for so much of the summer - I would not have purchased it from them. Depending on how they remedy the situation, I will be sure to post a revision of my review. I am hoping they can find a solution to the running lights AT LEAST before I pick up tomorrow so that I can carry on with my family trip. read more

I would give this company 10-stars if it were available to do so. After a series of horrible experiences with Camping World I was referred to Open Roads Camper by Forrest River. I called the manufacturer because after I got home from delivery of my new 2016 XLR Thunderbolt from CW the water pump, fridge and generator were not working. CW said they could not get me in for repairs for 3 months even though I had taken delivery not even 24 hours prior. When I contacted the manufacturer Forrest River for help they referred me to Open Roads which was surprising because they at not a XLR Dealer. So I called Open Roads and spoke with Heather. Heather was very knowledgeable and customer oriented. She instilled confidence in me right away and when I explained what was going on and the issues I was having with CW she scheduled me right in. This when my selling dealer couldn't get me in for 3 months. Open Roads treated me like I had just bought the camper from them and was a favored customer. I have to admit i was skeptical at first because they were so accommodating so I stopped in mid-repair to see what their workmanship was like. I was more than pleasantly surprised by the professional workmanship being done at their shop. Ronnie and his crew are excellent techs and just great quality people. These folks really care and went out of their way to take care of me even though I hadn't purchased from them. Their workmanship is top notch and I have retuned to them many times, (not due to their issues), in the last year and have always had a great experience. I'm sorry that I didn't know about them and purchase from them prior to going to CW but I assure you that any future purchases will be done at Open Roads. A shinning light in an industry full of less than stellar and shady players. read more

Awful service experience with this place. Had our camper for months and it looks worse now than when we brought it in. Awful communication from the service department, especially the manager Denis. We get the call it's ready and go pick it up to find two major repairs weren't even completed like they said. The "qualified" staff tried to hide a major repair by simply putting a piece of trim over it (light was shining thru so clearly something pulled apart). When we noticed their coverup, the manager apologized and said he was embarrassed and give him another week. (They reported to work order they took off the entire wall panel to fix it, which was a lie). We go back and their solution was just put bigger screws in this piece of trim and we were told "that's as good as it's gonna get". The repair in the shower (that they also tried to get away with not fixing) when they had to take the entire shower doors off looks so awful that my 5yo could've done a better job. Terrible service place and I would never recommend. This was all supposed to be warranty work and now we will have to pay a qualified RV repair place to fix what they have done/not done. The star rating is based solely on initial contact - haven't done business with them yet. I was recommended to contact them regarding some work I want done on my 5th wheel RV that I live in full time. I filled out the request, checking "EMAIL" as preferred method of contact. I type in some notes indicating that I live full time in the RV, and need to make special arrangements to have the desired work looked at since it's my home and I can't just drop it off and leave it for extended period of time (as is the norm with most shops), nor is it convenient to just "come by" with a 40' RV. It's not like it's a car. I first asked if they could have a guy come to me (I live not far from the shop) to view what I want done and then write up an estimate of cost and time to do the work, and I'd have to make arrangements for somewhere to stay while work being performed. About an hour or so later, a girl named Meagan CALLED me (I preferred e-mail), leaving a voice mail that she received a request for service and that I should call back and discuss when I wanted to bring the rig by so they could look at what I need done. She obviously had NOT read my note. When I told her that my request had indicated EMAIL as the preferred method of contact, and that her message indicated she may not have read my notes, and asked her to review the notes then email me, she responded in an indignant manner "ok, sure, I'll do that" and I haven't heard back from her in two days! REALLY????? I want to do business with them since they are close to me, but that's pretty terrible customer service in terms of getting people in the door! read more

My trailer suffered 2 broken windows and i live in New Orleans. This trailer is our second home in the summer and we keep it immaculate. We needed the repairs done in 2 weeks and the manufacturer was not helping. Ronnie and his staff were pleasant and everyone is professional. Ronnie worked with the manufacturer and the insurance company to get us on the road in time for our scheduled vacation. He called me and gave me updates, texted me pictures/ in short he treated me like it was important to him that we got this fixed. When we were setting up the trailer, i realized one of the techs had tightened/replaced some screws on my electric plug. - just because it needed fixing- no charge! I purchased my 4th motorhome last October and like most of you I have had a few issues. I have dreaded taking my motorhome to any dealer for service. It seemed that whether I waited for it or left it for extended periods of time, nothing seemed to get fixed to my satisfaction. This all changed today when I took my new Palazzo to Open Roads for warranty work. I didn't purchase my MH from them. I purchased it through the national big guys. Knowing their service is useless, I called Thor and asked them who I could take my unit to for the warranty issues I had. They listed Open Roads as one of my choices. I made the appointment and when I arrived, they checked me in immediately and to my surprise a tech started working on my unit. This has never happened before. In three hours I was on my way home with everything addressed to my satisfaction. I have never experienced the level of professionalism that everyone demonstrated in this organization.
