This unassuming shopping strip is the home of Open Sesame. The staff is inviting and the decor is cute. Babagunush (I can't spell) was good and came with pita bread and a plate of olives, pickled orca and beats. Chicken shawarma was well cooked and the rice was flavorful. The mint tea was excellent too. I think they cook everything once you order. So if there is a big table of 20 people ahead of you, you need to be patient.

Such a fan of this place! The food is so flavorful and fresh and feels healthy, and the prices are very reasonable. The falafels were excellent, and the fattoush salad was super fresh. A little slow to get food out during busy periods, but they are very popular for a reason!

Loved the shawarma plate, knafeh, and fries. Would come again! First time dining here and without much background in Lebanese cuisine. Service was friendly and helpful. Mostly small tables for small parties with music playing in the background and a bar section. My friend and I both got chicken shawarma plates and added 2 sides for $6 so $18 each. Got the tabbouleh salad, hummus, fattoush, fries. I really liked the fattoush, the crispy pita chips were a great complement in terms of texture, and the fries were surprisingly so crispy and nice especially with the garlic sauce. The shawarma was tender, moist and seasoned well and good with the rice. Complementary pita bread too. For dessert, we got knafeh and it was amazing (to me as a newcomer). Soft, gooey cheese mildly sweet with filo bread and crumbled pistachio. Affordable and reasonable prices too. Would come again!

Late Sunday afternoon found me and my mom on a mission for tasty Middle Eastern food. And, Open Sesame delivered, big time! This place is easy to miss and the exterior is low-key--so keep an eye out. The inside is casual with faux grass on the ceiling and walls, nothing too fancy, but it works. We started with hummus, crispy falafel, and lentil soup and from the first bite, we were impressed. For the main meal, I ordered a Mixed Grill Plate that came with beef shish kabab, chicken tawook, and kafta over rice. You can choose two sides for an additional up-charge (we didn't), but it's a nice option to have. The meal also came with complimentary olives, pickled veggies, and pita...all of which were very yummy. I'm not usually a rice gal (unless it's sushi), and I almost always sub it out for salad, but the server kindly advised keeping it "as is". I'm glad I did--the rice was fragrant, and absolutely delicious. Also, service was friendly, and the price point was a great value for the quality. Simple and delicious! If you're looking for unfussy, authentic Middle Eastern food in Dallas, this is one to check out. Happy Eating!

If you're craving Lebanese food in the Dallas area, Open Sesame is a great spot! I went in the evening for a friend's birthday (party of about 12 people), and the service was quick and efficient. While the decor is minimal, the ambiance is still pleasant. I got the chicken shawarma, which was delicious, light, flavored, and beautifully seasoned. There's a small parking lot. Overall, I greatly enjoyed my experience at Open Sesame. The food is tasty, the prices are affordable, and it's definitely worth a try!

By far the best falafel wrap I've had outside of the Detroit metro and the Middle East! Absolutely fantastic food. I'll be a regular!

I ordered the Ultimate Mixed Grill to share with my boyfriend. They start you off with pita and oil/seasonings and then brought out the baba ghanoush and hummus for us to start dipping before the mains came out. Overall everything was super fresh and flavorful. I was very impressed with the chicken and kafta especially, but all the meats were well seasoned and tender! The tabouleh and fatoush were completely new to me, so it was nice to try new flavors for the first time in this mixed platter. It also comes with a garlic sauce on the side. My only wish was that there was more rice for both of us-- it might be better to have a bowl of rice on the side so it's easier to grab a bit of everything. Our server was kind and the food came out at a reasonable pace. It is a more casual leaning restaurant but still very nice inside!

Freakin delicious lebanese food. Portions were big so we shared one plate between two people. The flavors are so good and you get a little variety of things to try. Would be back here in a heartbeat!

I've placed a to go order here before and have no complaints about the food. However tonight I had a terrible experience. I stood at the bar to place a to go order as I did once before. I was the only person at the bar waiting for service. 2 servers came to the bar and never acknowledged me or even asked if I needed assistance. They were busy so I didn't complain. 10 minutes later, a gentleman walked up to the bar and both servers looked up and asked what he needed. I guess they decided to stop serving black women. The food is great but customer service goes a long way with me. I won't be back.

very busy lunch today. Our service was fine though our server seemed shy and timid. Had to ask him several times what he said because he just didn't speak up loudly enough. kefta kebab was good as was the chicken Shawarma sandwich.

Order arrived with food spilled out the container. Ridiculous! Uber Eats won't accept the photo because the megabytes are too big!

AMAZING, JUICY, FLAVORFUL FOOD! Got the shish tawook and chicken shawarma combo and I think this may be one of the most tasty Mediterranean places I've ever had. Large portions, good value. The place was packed even on a Tuesday night despite lots of tables! Worth every penny. Would definitely come back.

Highly recommend the krafta and kunafeh. The kunafeh is dessert sweet cheese with pistachios and crispy layer on top drenched in syrup! It is deliciousssss! Krafta is well seasoned. I like spicy hummus as sides and that would be the only side I get. Regular hummus is good too but the spicy one has more flavor Food is good but service is always rude. I have not been here where they were nice to me. Once was rude tone over the phone ordering lunch and the other was condescending tone of why I arrived too early to pick up my food. Must be a cultural thing

Every single dish was PERFECTLY cooked and seasoned. The chicken and veggies were seasoned with just enough spices where it had a slight kick, but not overpowering at all. A perfect balance to bring out the natural flavors of each item. The pita was perfection! Soft and warm, with a slight char on some of the pieces, which added such a beautiful bite with the hummus. Speaking of hummus, the Izmir hummus was silky smooth and incredible. I've had a lot of restaurant hummus and this one was MILES in ahead of them. So you can imagine it was a pretty big group. The place was buzzing as usual. Turns out two other groups were also celebrating their birthdays there. What are the chances? Ambiance/Atmosphere Rating: 9.5 out of 10. What we tried: Lamb Shank Plate: tender, fall off the bone lamb, with rice that is so tasty that you can just eat the rice by itself. I don't even like rice like that; it's not one of my favorite carbs. The Lamb had a very mild flavor. 9.5 out of 10 for me. Chicken Kebob Plate: normally I wouldn't order chicken kebob as I feel that it can get a bit dry, but not at this restaurant. We were seated promptly, but there were no clean high chairs available, so we had to wait a few minutes while one was cleaned. That wasn't a big deal. After about 10 minutes, our server finally came over to take our drink and food order. From there, things went downhill. We waited around 30 minutes without our server checking on us once, while tables that were seated after us began receiving their food. After about 45 minutes, we decided to ask for our order to be packed to go. That's when we found out our original server had already left without handing our table off to another employee. Our order had been entered into the system but was never brought out, and no one noticed. What made the experience even more frustrating was that there were several employees standing around at the front and only a couple of other tables in the restaurant. It was surprising that no one realized we'd been sitting there without food or service for so long. I was genuinely excited to try this highly rated restaurant, but instead I ended up wasting an hour and a half. No one attempted to make things right or offered any apology beyond explaining what happened. I would also encourage the staff to be mindful of communication when interacting with customers. If a customer asks a question, it's best to answer them directly in a language they understand. Speaking among yourselves in another language during a service issue can easily create the impression that you're talking about the customer, even if that's not the intent. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this restaurant. I hope they improve their customer service because the food may be good, but the service needs significant attention

We were quickly seated and our orders were taken. For our party of three, we opted for the Combo for Two family meal as well as the Maza Large. The latter was brought out first. It include the falafel, tabooli, hummus, baba ghanoush, and some pita bread. My favorite out of these was definitely the falafel. After not too long of a wait, the meal for the combo came out. The meats, lamb and chicken, were without a doubt juicy and flavorful. Went well with the rice (which I do wish came more with the order). However, the highlight of the night for me was actually the chicken lemon soup. This is my first time ever having it. My first thought was that it would be too lemon-forward. That was certainly not the case. It was still savory and subtly fragrant with lemon instead. Despite all of the food being above average to very tasty as well as the service being superb, the one thing that detracted from the night for me was the breeze every single time the door opened. The weather was particularly cold and windy that day. We weren't the closest to the door but every time someone came in or out, there was a noticeable breeze. I feel that this could have been mitigated if there was a panel that could shield customers from the breeze on these certain days. Regardless, I would still come back for some delicious mediterranean food!
