I got tabouli, babaganoush matebl (my favorite and was made very nicely here!), lamb kabob, lentil soup, fatoush, grape leaves and kibee. I always get enough to take for lunch for a few days. I don't know of many Lebanese restaurants in the area, and this is the real deal. Appears to be a family-run operation. Before the meal, fresh pita with olive oil, olives, and pickles are served. My go-to is the Chicken Shawarma Plate, which I get with fattoush and baba ganoush. The plate comes with a healthy portion and is always flavorful. To complete the dish, it's also served with a side of this garlic cream, which out of this world. I've also had the lamb which is always tender and cooked perfectly. Prices are fair for the area. There's usually one waiter working the whole restaurant, so if they are busy, it can take a while to see them again if you need anything, but not too bad. Overall, solid all around. Horrible service. Don't expect refills on drinks or plates to be cleared because they will not. You are lucky if you receive the complimentary pita and zatar seasoning. I once sat down and waited 10 mins after receiving my water on a non busy day with only 2 other tables occupied other than my own table of 2. I asked the short over weight brown haired middle aged man with glasses if he could bring the zatar and pita that was already made on the counter waiting for someone to pick it up to bring to us and when he brought it back he asked me "anything else for the princess"? Everything we tried was great - my favorite was the lamb kabob, which was very well seasoned and tender. The only downside is that the amount of rice given may not be enough for all the meat, so an extra order of rice ($3) may be needed. The sauce almost seemed like a cucumber based yogurt sauce which was very refreshing! The lamb shish kabobs were pretty decently seasoned. But I wish there was more meat given. The food here is amazing. The baba ganoush, hummus, fatoush, tabouleh were all incredible. My friend got this chicken pita and it was really juicy and flavorful. For my friends, they said that was the star of the night. For me personally, I thought the rice and lamb/beef kebabs were the best. Im not sure what stock they cook the rice with, but I could not stop myself from picking up every piece on the plate. The only reason im deducting a star was because it took a while to get a table cleaned up for us and seated even though there was a table clearly open and ready. False advertising, this place does not allow dogs and it's promoted both in Yelp and Bring Fido as dog friendly. When I let the receptionist know thinking it was a hones mistake, she said "that was 3 years ago" 12/14/2021 it still says "dogs allowed" There is no outside seating and dogs are definitely not allowed. read more

Great food as always, service seems a bit lacking these days. What happened to the woman with black framed glasses who used to work there? Didn't need the unsolicited nitpicking and attitude from the waitress about how I described the garlic dipping. It was almost like she wanted to lecture me about it even though we've been coming to this restaurant longer than how long she has worked at this place. But she did not nitpick on the person that I was eating with, who's Caucasian, when he mispronounced one of the menu items... There was an obvious difference in her attitude towards me, an Asian person and the person I was eating with, a white person. Definitely seemed a bit racist, and that's disappointing. We will still come back for the food in the future. Food is top notch. Love the fatoush salad, the shish tawook, and the lamb kebab. Rice is very flavorful, and the garlic sauce, additive. I was in a party of 2 so originally opted for a small table with 2 seats. When we learned they offered complimentary pita bread with pickled vegetables, we quickly moved to a four top for more space. Our waiter was extremely helpful in walking us through our dining experience. Make sure to dip your complimentary pita bread into olive oil and the zatar. Needed a pick me up for a long night ahead of me which the Arabic coffee was perfect for. It was strong but that's what I needed. I had the Lamb Shish Kabob with Baba Ghanoush & Fatoush while my friend had the Shawarma Plate with Fries & Fatoush. Everything else I had was delicious - I got the Kafta Kabob, one of the more popular dishes, and the meat was cooked really well. Dishes come with 2 sides which you can mix and match from. Open Sesame also offers a tapas style menu on weekdays where appetizers (hummus, baba ganoush, tabouleh) are a lot cheaper than what it would be normally. Portions here are moderately sized, but are a bit overpriced at over $20 post tax/tip compared to what I can get at other Mediterranean-style restaurants, especially AYCE restaurants such as Ali Baba and Terra Mediterranean. read more
