Looking for an upscale bar/ lounge with great views known for their specialty drinks? Look no further. Music was great- mix of Spanish music this past Saturday night and great ambiance. My drink, the resurrection, was fruity but not too fruity. I could taste the alcohol as it was not overpowering. The bartenders weren't the friendliest, BUT to be fair it was very busy when I went. This is my second time here, and I will definitely return as this bar/ lounge is much more sophisticated than your typical east village bar. read more

Beautiful view along with East River and great spot for a small hangout with friends. The advertisement is attractive but a little misleading. The small details are needed attentions. Plants were not in the best condition and a bit outdated decorations overall. We ordered croissant sandwich which was pretty good but waffle was very disappointing but the restaurant was listening to us very well, and the service will improve with the positive attitude. We will come back. The bathroom needs to explain the sink offers the water as well as dryer. People look for the paper or dryer and come out with wet hands to look for a towel. The music is too loud and breaks the ambiance. The music selection is also horrible like pop mix. When we were having nice conversations by looking the beautiful river, Ed Sheeran's bad habit mixed like disco version was loudly played. Came here with a weekend reservation for two people. Definitely a rooftop worth checking out. If possible, plan ahead and book a reservation during prime hours so you can watch the sunset. Try to get a seat right near the window. We originally were sat at a high top but asked to move to the counter seats right up against the window which was great. The place is really pretty with the twinkle lights. It's also a vibe without feeling overly hip and trendy. DJ plays hip hop which I loved. Perfect place for a date night, first date (I think I saw quite a few!), or just a fun night out. Service was fine as well. We came for dinner + drinks. Cocktails were good, but I wish they had a dedicated mocktail menu, even if it was just a handful of drinks. Food ordered was: -Tower for Two: some bites were hit or miss, but overall this is a fun dish to get. They also switched out one of the foods with something else because of an allergy which was nice. You get to sample a lot on the menu, so I def recommend if you want food. -Pan Seared Scallops: this wasn't bad, but the risotto was a bit dry and I'm not sure it's worth $30. Comes with 3 small sized scallops. -Fries: I wish they were thin and crunchy. Just a personal preference - there was nothing wrong with them. -Chocolate Mousse Cake: not too sweet. We had reservations at Ophelia for the last night of our NYC trip. Stepping off the elevator, it was a little grittier than expected from description and photos (floors, worn velvet couches), although the overall impact of the art deco bar, with cathedral ceiling and fresh mise en place was quite impressive. They had given away the best city view to a private party. We didn't like the lesser dining room where we were seated and went immediately to the bar where we experienced a warm welcome and exemplary service from David the bartender and all the supporting staff. Food and beverages exceeded our expectations; we tried the tasty Tower for Two and couldn't get enough of the "Lower East Side" cocktail made with rye, passion fruit and lemon. read more

First time in NYC, you want to go to a rooftop bar... this place is it. The view is spectacular and drinks are delicious. Server Camila came by and checked in on us just on time to make sure we were refilled with our drinks and asked if we wanted anything to eat and she recommended the best truffle fries I've ever had. Came here for drinks on a few occasions, all to meet up with friends to catch up. Located on top of the Beekman Tower hotel, you can expect to get amazing views of the East River overlooking Long Island City and Roosevelt Island. As the elevator opens the door, you're welcomed into the main bar area with high finishes. The bar is more of a terrace than a rooftop bar as majority of the area is indoors, while there is a small section outdoors. Drinks are made well and comes with the expected price tag. I've had the Pain Killa ($23) a few times and has become my go to here. I've also had the El Paso Old Fashioned ($22) which is also pretty good. Foodwise, I cannot comment as I was only here for drinks. Service is okay. Not the most friendliest, but they get the job done and are there when you're ready to order your drinks. read more
