This place is awful I have been here since 9:45 I was across the street and was making sure they opened before I went in I even called one girl started my nails and tried to super glue my lift I told her no you can take the nail off and re do it I would have super glued it my self at home ,half way threw doing my fill she stopped and sent me to get my toes done I got a regular pedicure and it has now been 1 hour sitting here she said you can wait for someone to become available ( I was the first person in here ) I express how upset I was about the service and she said sorry we had to help other customers I said communication is key when I came in here I asked if you had time you said yes now I'm getting put last when I was in here first . Y'all!!! I love this place. I have been there on and off for a few years and have never had a bad experience ever. I went in today as a walk in customer, and they were more than accommodating. The atmosphere is so cool, friendly and relaxing. Kevin (who was super nice and helpful) did an absolutely amazing job on my nails! He had really helpful advice on how to make my nails look the best for the idea that I had, and you can tell he takes great pride in his work. I will FOR SURE be going back! This place used to be my go to place but the last few times have been so terrible that I now try to avoid it. Against my better judgement I went in for a regular pedicure and gel manicure because I was short on time and they're super close. The pedicure was fine, nothing crazy about it. Now the manicure, worst job EVER. I showed the tech a picture of what I wanted (matte black w/a single accent line on one nail) she dismissed me and didnt even look at it. I noticed I had already been there for an hour by the time she was going to start with my nails so I asked if 35 minutes was enough time because I needed to leave at 1:30 to make an appointment and she assured me it was fine. Because she didn't look at the picture of what I wanted, I had to keep reminding her and stopping her when she was going to paint them the wrong color. She also had two different shades of gold polish that she promised would match, clearly not the case As you can see the end result was awful: dry, cut up cuticles, paint on my skin and definitely not an even coat. She also took SO long I was late to my appointment. I'm so disappointed. I will.never be back again read more

This is my favorite place to go for a pedicure & manicure. The establishment itself is clean inside, there's a wide selection of colors and the ambience is really relaxing. An additional plus is the women who work there. They're all super friendly and most speak English (unlike most nail salons in the Greater Sacramento area) which is a welcoming gesture because often times I feel as if some are talking shit. Lol anyways, they DON'T do that at Ophelia's. They use liners on all the pedi/chair bowls. I've seen them open sanitzed utensils and use them CLEAN. The women take their time and do an excellent job painting each and every nail. Bathroom is clean and nice. They also offer waxing services too but I've never tried so can't speak on that aspect of the salon. The Manager is always super sweet; she has a very good memory and remembers me each time I come in. That's a huge plus for me too. Again, I can't stress enough the relaxing feeling I have when I leave Ophelia's. It's so nice. You definitely get your money's worth IMO. Check it out. You won't be disappointed. read more

We will definitely not be back, the service here has gone down hill. Scheduled an appointment for 3 of us 2 pedicures and one full set of acrylic nails. When we got there everyone was confused of what we wanted. After being seated the water for the pedicures was ice cold. We asked for the water to be warmed up, and they put enough hot water in to get the chill off. We both chose the hot stone pedicure with gel polish. The girl getting a pedicure with me had gel polish on her toes and her nail technician Tammy, used the electric file to take it off. She then proceed to dump the gel shavings into the water her feet were in. Tammy was using the cuticle cutter and kept picking the skin to the point of her yelping from pain. Tammy would rinse the cutter in the water that her feet were in. Next was the foot scrubber, she put the lotion stuff on it and wiped her feet with it once, not even scrubbing them. She then put the sugar scrub on her legs only and immediately rinsed them in the dirty gel polish/skin water. We both chose our colors and Tammy didn't like the color our girl chose and brought something completely different. After multiple attempts of telling her what she wanted, Tammy finally gave in. She dabbed her feet dry and started on her polish. Tammy didn't put anything like a base coat on her toes, just went straight to the gel. Our girl asked again how much was this costing and Tammy said $40. Our girl asked why was it going to be $40 even when she didn't get the hot stones or massage. Tammy said she was going to get her legs wet after her polish to use the hot stones and give her a massage. I was sitting next to her and my technician had already done the hot stone, massage and gel polish was last. Our girl asked why was my polish last and Tammy stated that the technician was new and she did it all wrong but didn't stop her. She said that the polish wouldn't last. While Tammy was applying the polish she told her she would give her a $5 discount because she wasn't going to do the stones or massage. After Tammy completed polishing her nails, she noticed they felt jagged and would get caught on everything. She told Tammy repeatedly her nails were not smooth and were going to get caught, Tammy said that is the way her toes are. After arguing with her about it she told her she would only charge her $25 that she would get the gel for free. She went up front to pay and then met up with other girl getting her acrylics done. Her technician asked our girl what happened, she told her and she called Tammy over. Once Tammy came over and spoke to the other technician, she felt her toes and said they are rough like that because she didn't get to do the hot stone, massage or file them... going back on saying it was just how her toes are. Tammy tried to get our girl to sit back down, but she didn't want her touching them anymore. Tammy walked away and our girl took a picture of her toes and looking at them, there was gel polish all over her skin. I showed the technician working on the acrylics and she called Tammy back over. Tammy said she was going to refund her after seeing the picture. Tammy asked her to delete the photos because she gave her a refund and she didn't want to get in trouble. Additionally, there was a few noticeable issues. There was a technician cleaning the tools with a Kleenex and putting them into a sterile package. A costumer came in to get a manicure the technician used the foot spa to rinse the pebble like rocks in the bowl once and filled it back up with water for the customer to soak her hands in. It was almost like the rocks were not cleaned previously. Just want to warn everyone to choose wisely when it come to making decision to go here. read more

The inside of the place is very pretty and big. There's massage/pedicure chairs on the side and in the middle are tables for manicures. I think it's more fancy than other nail salons! Me and my friend entered and were welcomed right away. We had a reservation for two but it wasn't very busy. We chose our colors and were started on right away. I got a gel manicure with a design on the ring finger. It cost $25 which isn't bad. My friend got the gel manicure and a pedicure for $50. I really liked the work that was done! I don't get my nails done very often but when I do I love looking at my nails! Lol they did a good job! The workers were very nice! Talked to me while they did my nails. Offered to let me sit on the massage chair while my friend got her pedicure. Awesome!! Haha I would definitely come back to this place and I recommend coming here! read more

Horrible! Lady that did my nails does not seem to like what she's doing. She keeps staring at the door while filling my nails. I can't asked anyone else since the other lady was doing a another client. Then the man that did my manicure chewed out my on of my cuticle and it was bleeding for awhile. Then they tried to put the antiseptic stuff on my finger, but while they weren't looking I noticed it's expired! Also, I noticed that they were placing back the nail tools back to the bag after dipping it in the blue sanitizing stuff for about a minute. I am mortified! So beware! I have been coming here for years, off and on. It was my go to for eyebrows for me and facials for my mom. I knew it was under new management, and went because it was familiar to me. I arrived at 605 PM and they closed at 7. There was no one in the place except the lady who was working. I asked if she could do my eyebrows and she asked if I was paying in cash. She stated she had all ready closed her credit card machine , so unless I was paying cash she couldn't do my eyebrows. What kind of business practice is this to close your credit machine an hour before you close, then turn away business? read more

First time coming to this nail salon and immediately I felt in welcomed and waited a very long time for service. When I was seated for a pedicure and the lady asked me what color I wanted I told her... She made a really disgusted and face and told me "You want that color on your toes noo pick another one." I explained to her that I will not pick another one that's the one I want. She goes to get the color and ironically "they don't have it." So I'm forced to pick a new color because SHE didn't like what I was PAYING for for MY toes. I WISH I LOOKED AT THE REVIEWS BEFORE GOING HERE!!! I went here to get my natural, long nails painted with gel polish to look like white French tips. The guy painted my nails but he left so much polish on and around my cuticles and then painted the white tips different thicknesses and different arch variations (some were straight across). None of my nails matched but I was in a rush and didn't have time for him to fix it right then. Within 24 hours they were peeling and lifting due to painting my cuticles. There was about 1/4-1/8 inch of polish around most of my cuticles. He said "it's fine and would wash off later". I returned after 48 hours with 9 out of 10 nails lifting gel polish and peeling off. The ladies said he was running errands and I had to wait for him to return. 15 minutes into waiting, one of the girls came over to remove the gel polish. She soaked my hand in acetone and scraped off some of the polish and tried using a drill to get the rest off. I explained that these are my natural nails and asked her not to use the drill three separate times because she was going to ruin my nail bed. About 5 minutes later, he came in and asked me if I went to another shop like he forgot he did these unmatching, uneven and poorly done nails. He takes over removing my polish and I asked him multiple times not to use the drill on my nails because it will ruin them. He insisted it was just removing the left over gel after the gel polish was already soaked and scraped off. He asked me to rinse my hands with water and no soap. I could immediately feel the deep scratches and gouges on my real nails. He insisted on redoing my nails with dip powder or acrylics but I don't like getting either of those because I don't want them to ruin my natural nails. My nails are naturally thick and long so I don't have problems with them. Now they are thin, brittle and peeling in layers. I asked for a refund and they refused. He insisted that I let them redo my nails but they already messed up twice in 48 hours!!! They refused a refund again so I just left. Absolutely the worst place I've been. I should have followed my gut instinct when the shop was completely empty except for one person both times! The other patron even commented that they must have been so busy because it was homecoming weekend and they said that it wasn't busy at all. Not duh! Y'all suck! read more

Just look at my nails but let me start here when you walk in no one give you their full attention they just point to a clipboard for you to sign in.i got my nails done but a old man he could barley even see my nails he kept forgetting what nail he was on he forgot to push my cuticles back so he cut me. I personally love my nails long I told him but he couldn't understand I asked another lady to tell him but he didn't listen none of my nails are the same size nor are they straight and when you tell them you would like someone to fix they turn your hands a bunch of angles and say oh they look so pretty. She will try to fit you in on short notice and her work is very nice. tammy does a good french Pedi and Sun has some great massage skills. Terrible! This isn't the usual place I go to get my nails done, but it was close to home and I needed them done for a trip. I'm so upset I payed 70 for my pedi and "dip powder". It wasn't worth it at all. I go my nails done on a Sunday, by Monday evening my nails were chipped. I went back in a Tuesday to get it fixed and they completely rushed it and didn't even shape the nail they fix. Anyways two days after that another nail chipped and the gel pustarted to come off of other nails. I have NEVER had this happen. Also the gel polish is VERY lumpy. They really do not know how to smooth it out and make it look natural. Terrible experience here, I will not return here. read more

This was literally the worst experience I have ever had. The dip nails were thick. Dip powder and the other chemicals used were stuck all around my cuticles, fingers, and hand. My pedicure was gel and just as bad. I asked several times to be fixed. Their way of fixing was by filing my skin with a high grit nail file. My skin was raw and they wanted to continue filing. I had to stop them because of how sore it was getting. Not only this but they charged me way more than they said they were going to. read more
