I had the nicest service technician come out recently, we called at 3pm when we were about to leave on a trip and our garage wouldn't open and our car was stuck inside, I was immediately panicked because we were on a time crunch but they were able to have an emergency technician out about an hour later to get us out, and came back when we returned from our trip to complete the work. Obviously not the situation we were wanting to deal with at the time but these guys made it best case scenario for what was going on, no bs, no fluff or wasting our time, they understood what was going on, got us taken care of, and got our garage back in working order. Started out with just garage door maintenance (prevention) inspection and ended up some needed upgrades to my garage door (replacing inappropriate coil springs done by another vendor), etc. Trent did the inspection analysis as well as the needed upgrades to provide me with comfort and assurance that my garage door's health and functioning is currently as its optimal best (maybe hence the name of the garage door service). I do highly recommended Optimal. (NOTE: I am even considering replacing my garage door opener with the new modern opener that mounts to the side of garage door, based on Trent's description of the current modern opener style.) read more

Interesting...a garage door company that fully automated. They have a computer application that does everything. So while you're being razzle-dazzled with multiple screens, and quotes and authorizations, you might miss the fact that you're being quoted $225 to put in a part that takes 15 minutes and another $225 to adjust the springs that takes 10 minutes, and another $300 to install something else and all done in less than an hour. Parts are marked up double and triple the price and even a surcharge which nobody can really explain effectively. $40. So an hour spent filling out forms, another hour doing the work, and you're out $800. We tried this service in March 2024 and decided it was too expensive but had to try it again just now because we needed our garage door to open and needed someone same day...so here we go again, same plan but if anything more expensive. When you do good work efficiently you should be able to do it more cost effectively than anyone else except when your corporate strategy is to gouge them for everything you can get. These are the people who often say to themselves, "they can afford it." read more

Our garage door had issues where it would open 1 foot and would stop. We had a technician from Optimal Garage Doors check out the issue and he recommended to replace the travel module or a temp fix that would cost $550. We also quoted for a new garage motor which were all $2000+. After getting a second look at the issue from another company, they were able to fix the issue by reprogramming the motor. They were able to fix the issue without replacing parts and did the service for free. Their quotes for replacing the motor were also half the cost of optimal garage doors. I wouldn't trust a company that doesn't know how to fix simple issues. There are better cheaper companies that will do the price for half the price. read more

My garage door would not open or close. Called Optimal to come out and repair. They were great,,it was a Friday afternoon and they were there within an hour. They did a good job reprogramming and resetting remote and outside pad. The reason for the 3 star is that they charged me $298.30 to do this work that did not take more than an hour, I was told that there was a Sr. discount in there so that made the total charge well over $300. I have to say he did a good job trying to sell me additional repairs and new springs of which are not needed. as the door is not quit 2 yrs old. I called Optimal and they sent Trent over within their quoted time window. Honestly, I just wanted the door down for security purposes and figured repairing it would happen another day but they had all the repair parts they needed with them, in the truck. Even though it was the last call of the day, the door wanted to fight him. While fixing the door Trent found other shoddy work from the previous installer.
