I also enjoy the weight room and the very faithful members that are there every morning, helping me maintain my routine! Tons of pickleball and tennis to explore as well. Always friendly helpful front desk staff. So nice to be a member here.

They have two pools - an outdoor on and an indoor one. They call it "Open Air" but the fact is, it's indoors. They have a bunch of limitations on availability for the Outdoor Pool. But I'm retired and every time I look to reserve a lane there is ALWAYS times available. They keep the temperature of the pool nice - even in the colder times. The place is well kept. The gym is nice. They have plenty of treadmills. bikes and elliptical machines, they have a full line of exercise equipment and weight machines and every time I'm there it's never crowded. They have tennis courts, pickle ball courts, basketball court, jacuzzi and a wading pool. It's a little pricy - but everything seems to be these days. They have a HUGE schedule of classes and events. They have classes from A to Z (Ab Blast to Zumba) and everything in between. They have special events like Parent's night Out. There's a childcare area so the Parents and work-out with crafts and fun things to do, a kids play area with a slide and stuff. They have a bunch of Barbecues to use so you can set up a party with your family on the beautifully kept lawns. They have a swim team, swimming lessons, even a book club. Just about anything you want to do. Everyone that works there is always friendly with a smile and a greeting. They are always looking to be as accommodating as possible. Oh - and they also have a Senior Discount for those of us that qualify.

It's one of the few places where my kids can safely run free, make lifelong friends, and spend their summers outdoors. The swim team is absolutely fantastic, with dedicated coaches who help swimmers of all abilities grow in confidence, teamwork, and skill. If you're looking for a welcoming, family-oriented club where everyone knows your name, Glen Oaks is hard to beat.

I understood the commitment and chose to move forward because of the convenience of the location near my home. Unfortunately, my experience as a member has been disappointing from the start. Getting basic information has been exhausting -- phone calls go unanswered, emails don't go through, and when I finally reached someone, I was told the club is somehow "separate" from the swim team while also connected to it. Most of what I've learned has come from navigating the website myself or asking other swim team parents, who have honestly been more helpful than the staff. Communication overall has been poor. I constantly receive emails asking for donations and fundraising support for facility renovations, yet Imsomehow important weekly updates and member information emails don't come through. For the cost, the value also feels questionable. Membership dues are higher than many gym memberships, yet the amenities are limited to a pool, and tennis courts. On top of monthly dues, I was still required to pay separately for my daughter to attend a school field trip hosted at the club. The atmosphere also feels very exclusive and cliquish. Many of the board members appear to be friends, family, or married to one another. I was sold on the idea of joining a welcoming "community," but I have not felt welcomed at all. Whenever concerns are raised, the response is usually "I'm new" or "we have a new system," with very little effort made to actually address or resolve the issues. Overall, this has not been the positive community experience that was promised.
