Wonderful moving service. They showed up on time, moved quickly and treated me AND each other respectfully the entire time. I can't rate them 5 stars because, while I know it's impossible to move without some breakage... they broke a leg on the desk (easy fix but I did it, not them) and they stacked/wrapped a few lamp tables resulting in a couple of scratches, one pretty bad. We used this service a few months back and was a bit disappointed with the service. They were really slow and moved very inefficiently. Most times moving one small item like one lamp. The final price ended up coming out to be a lot more than I initially thought due to this. Three of us ended up having to help to speed it up because it was taking so long. In the process of helping my 70 year-old mother move into a new apartment, I sought out various companies to help her with moving her things from one apartment to another, as well as move items into storage. Optimus was one of the first responders and their quote was more than reasonable. Not only did they ask for a one time $50 travel charge, but their time did not start until they started the loading process. Optimus is in Katy and the respective apartments were in Spring and Kingwood. $50 was amazing comparatively speaking. A few days prior to the move, we realized my mom needed assistance with some packing and organizing. Again, Optimus delivered, sending 4 workers and charging a reasonable hourly charge and a single $50 trip fee. Both my mom and I were extremely pleased with the quality of work the packers provided. Then came moving day. If I had to sum it up in one world, I would say, "AMAZING"! I haven't used any other companies, but if there are any needing an example to follow, they need look no further than Optimus. Gonzalo, Fernando, and Alex S. were professional, helpful, friendly, and just all around GREAT people. They were extremely kind to my mother, my girlfriend, and I. They were also incredibly efficient. I had no worries they were "milking" time. They moved like they had a purpose and still managed to make the process smooth, but more importantly, personal. We had the same three guys booked to assist my mom in moving her storage unit, as well, and again, they delivered. On behalf of my mother, girlfriend, and myself, I have nothing but gratitude to Optimus for helping a normally arduous process much smoother. The crew arrived early to our apartment and began to get our furniture prepped with blankets and plastic. They loaded up the truck and went to our storage unit to retrieve items from there. They then followed us to our new home and moved us in along with having our storage container emptied out. They were all so friendly and helpful. Trae even got our power recliner to work again! I recently moved from an apartment to a three story home. After some researching and quote gathering I chose Optimus Moving Services and I was extremely happy with the choice. Miguel and his team did a great job! They moved along quickly, wrapped all applicable pieces of furniture and were careful to not hit any wall or piece of furniture. The stairway is a bit narrow at some points so I feel that was a great achievement. We had several extra heavy pieces of furniture that had to go all the way to the third floor and with all the stairs and how hot it was the team remained upbeat and very customer oriented. If you are looking for movers.. DO NOT look ANYWHERE else!! I've had some good and bad moves in my day but I've never had such an amazing customer service experience like Optimus. I was able to book my appt easily via yelp, I chose an 8-9 am window and got the confirmation text 2 days prior. Antonio called me the morning of to let me know they were on their way.. he was going to be there for 8 am.. you never know with window times so I was so happy to hear they were coming right at the start of the arrival window. Long story short but on my way to the house I realIzed I didn't have a key and it would take me 15 minutes to get one. I let Antonio know and he was so kind, told me not to worry about it and take my time. Even just that simple gesture on moving day meant a lot and helped to keep stress levels low. 3 guys came and soon as they entered our house they got right to it. They were very polite, friendly and all wore masks, they also got right to work, not a minute wasted. They were so fast and efficient I was very very impressed. They did a great job moving everything and did it very carefully. Unfortunately we ended up having very minor damage at the new place during the move and had an issue with an electronic device. I messaged Juan on yelp about it and he was very responsive and apologized for the issue. Carlos the owner took over and offered to fix the damage and replace the item. He brought the new device himself and came with the contractor. I really really appreciate his dedication to customer service and his commitment to his word. While I don't plan on moving anytime soon, if I ever did I know I'd be calling Optimus to move me and my family. I found Optimus through Yelp. I was reading through all the reviews and I was very skeptic of this "five star Yelp rating" company- a moving company that people raved about? Really? I requested a quote in the middle of the night because as a new mom, that is all the time I have. First person who replied was Optimus and it was the owner, Carlos. He gave me a no-fuss quote and explained my expectations. I don't know how he managed to respond so quickly every time and all the time- they were organized! I called their main number and they had everything ready for me. The person on the other line was a very informative young lady; prompt and they called the day before to confirm the move. I am seriously in disbelief in how all this was so smooth. They texted upon arrival, text upon departure (I wasn't even present during the move, they locked up for me!) and texted/called upon completion. The crew arrived punctual and all three were fresh and clean in their uniforms. They were ready to go. (unlike others who rolled out of their beds and worked hung over.) They were friendly, approachable and trustworthy. (Important factors if you have to sit with the movers for 10 hours, cross-country moving like I have in the past. In this case, they were with my super-senior Dad for three hours). Very apologetic for not being able to haul some outdoor live plants and explained why they could not, even if it was a local move. Nothing broke, no major dings or stains on properties. They blanket wrapped and shrink wrapped all large pieces. I highly encourage you to hire Optimus. I have moved A LOT in the past ten years. I have seen the worst and in between. This company is exceptional. I was skeptical of the 5 star average review, but based on the crew that moved my belongings Sunday, it is evident they have earned it. Efficiency: Juan was the lead of the crew assisted by Jonathan and Abraham. All of the gentleman were very professional. I have moved several times using pro movers - twice in South Carolina and three times in Texas, Including a move from 1000 miles away. This crew by far was the most efficient and pleasing. They were so efficient that after the last items were packed, they immediately left house one and headed for house two. For a second there was panic until I realized they had the address already. That is to be respected because others would have easily lollygagged to run up the clock and bill. I've even had movers take phone calls (using the excuse they have to manage their business) and bulljive or text while working on my dime. NOT ONE minute did these fellas waste my time. They are organized - Darlene responded immediately to my online quote requests and called in less than a minute to confirm once I provided her my contact info. It was a holiday weekend, yet they were very responsive and thorough to accommodate my somewhat last minute needs. Logistics: I watched them cover my belongings carefully with blankets and wrapping tape. Some things that typically would be taken apart they did not even have to disassemble. I always fear the glass in my curio cabinet breaking or the TV screens being damaged or my solid wood furniture being damaged. All was perfect when unloaded and set in its new place. Things I would ask about, Juan had already handled (ie screws to this or legs to that). I was also shocked that they had their own tv boxes. I had saved a few high dollar boxes from the cross country move but didn't even need them. The guys had everything loaded up in two hours and unloaded and one. The last time I moved the same stuff took at least five hours and only 45mins of that was travel. One review had me hesitant about their timeliness but no complaints here. I can be very particular and sometimes high maintenance (personal flaw) but was totally satisfied with this crew! Honestly I wasn't fully ready when they arrived and felt in the way as I tried to stuff a few more things and seal a few more boxes. Still it seems the move was completed in record time - while taking great care of my stuff. These guys know what they're doing! Definitely my movers/crew of choice. Listen...I am, by no means, easy to please, but these men met and exceeded my expectations!!! You think it's fishy when a company has all great reviews but I am confident they EARNED every last review. Check my other reviews, I'm not an easy sell. I could cry right now because I'm so HAPPY!! I never used movers before and I've heard some horror stories, therefore I did my due diligence and I really shopped around. I requested a quote via Yelp. I actually requested many. Carlos responded VERY quickly with a detailed quote. He needed very little information (no deposit) to book my appointment and called to confirm the day before my move. When he arrived he was very sweet but you could tell that he was --No Nonsense-- they got straight to work! I was so impressed by how prepared they were... the packing materials... the boxes that they had... the blankets...the dollies...the rolling carts... everything was so well executed and seamless. I didn't have to watch over them. I felt so confident in their service and honesty that I left and went to my new apartment to get my keys. I was moving from a first-floor unit to a third-floor unit. I thought that since I'm fairly young, I would give them a hand but they ended up offering me water! They are such hard workers and obviously very polite! In the end, the price was MORE THAN FAIR!
