Jerry from Options Plumbing came to install the dishwasher I purchased from Costco. He tried to charge me $145 for an air gap, which felt like a total rip-off, so I declined and told him I'd call back once I had the part. I ended up buying the air gap myself for only $15.63. ​When I called Costco to reschedule, they sent Manny from the same company. Manny claimed I needed a T-coupling and charged me $80 for it. Since I wanted the job done, I reluctantly agreed. After he left, I noticed that a part looking exactly like that coupling was actually included in the dishwasher box. Even worse, Manny took the thermal insulation cloth--which should have been installed on the unit--and the extra parts with him without my permission. Extremely dishonest service, do not let them take any parts with them. read more

Terrible experience with Options Plumbing, sent by Lowe's to install my dishwasher. I paid Lowe's $200 for the install, then was told I needed to pay an extra $180 to redo the outlet. After installation the dishwasher leaked water everywhere and couldn't be used. The plumber claimed it was the air gap and wanted another $150 to "fix" it. I refused. After checking myself, I found the hose on the air gap was simply not connected properly. I reattached it and the leak stopped immediately. I spent nearly $400 and was left with a bad install, unnecessary charges, and zero accountability. Avoid this company and double-check any installer Lowe's sends. read more

Dishwasher installed today from Options and bought it from Costco. I had to pay $175 for a "new valve". The valves costs $15-35 according to the internet. When I questioned this price I was told " Hey, it's Friday and I'd love to get off work early". What an unprofessional reply. I had a dishwasher sitting in my kitchen so I felt as if I didn't have a choice. Costco includes the cost of installation in their price so I'm assuming that Options is paid to install the dishwasher, so why the additional $175? After reading a few reviews it seems that this has happened to many! I have been in touch with Costco regarding this issue. I 100% DO NOT recommend Options plumbing! What a scam! read more

I got my dishwasher installed today by Manny from Options and bought it from Lowe's. Manny asked for $220.00 for valve replacement. It surprised me how CRAZY EXPENSIVE it is to replace a $9.62 part. I moved forward because I have a baby and need to get the work done. I spent the day with a suspicious taste in mind ... I checked later the invoice online (where I paid the $220.00 ) and "Surprise" the service I paid for, is different from the service Manny executed. (See the invoices attached) ... Another "Surprise" was when the company called me it wasn't Options or Lowe's (Third Party called Envision Contracting Inc) ... The last and big "Surprise" was when I found another user here in Yelp (Toni R) with the same issue... Definitely, this schema is suspicious. My dishwasher was delivered at 9:30am and just 30 minutes later, I got a call from Mark saying he was outside ready to install the unit (and haul away the old one). I was so impressed by the coordination, communication and speed from Mark and Options Plumbing! Manny and Jose installed my new wall electric double overnight today and they did an excellent job. They had to enlarge the space so it would fit, which required precise measurements and expertise to build the base for the oven to rest upon. Plus there is a cabinet below the oven that I wanted to keep in tact, and they made sure to do just that. Everything was perfect from a construction standpoint and it was done in a reasonable amount of time. I am very pleased with the end result. read more

Jose did an amazing job of converting my previous (broken) three handle shower to a single handle shower with a new showerhead, faucet and drain as well. It was a very complicated job which required cutting thru the granite backing wall to create room for a new shower plate as well as reconfiguring the piping behind the wall which was original to the unit (over 40 years old). We could not be happier with the results. Jose was responsive and professional in his approach and communications. I could tell he knew what he was doing and he delivered for us! We've also had Phillip work on our dishwasher install and a few other minor plumbing jobs, he comes highly recommended as well. read more

Options plumbing company was hired by Lowe's to install a dishwasher I had ordered for a tenant of mine. The dishwasher was apparently defective yet Options plumbing left it in place and told the tenants they could use the dishwasher as long as they kept a bowl at the corner to catch any water! The tenants ran the dishwasher one time per the direction of the installer. That one use caused massive water damage to the kitchen cabinets and the flooring. The brand new floors are going to have to be ripped up and a large remediation/reconstruction job will now ensue beacuse of this, thousands and thousands of dollars of damage. I have tried contacting Jose and his installer mutliple times and they are ghosting me. The installer went so far as to block my number. This is pretty repugnant behavior by a company. Unbelievably Shady company. I would stay far away from them. read more

We bought a new stove and a gas dryer from a big box store, but they wouldn't connect the dryer and while they did connect the stove, it didn't fit flush against the kitchen wall like the previous one because of the orientation of the gas valve. We requested quotes on Yelp, and while several companies responded, only Jose from Options Plumbing responded with an estimated cost to hook up the dryer and relocate the gas valve. The others wanted me to call them and set up an appointment for a visit. :( Jose was able to come out in a couple of days, arriving on time and in a smart-looking, clearly marked van. He took a quick look at the gas valve and indicated it wouldn't require opening up the wall and relocating the valve, saving hundreds of dollars. He also pointed out how the big box's delivery/installation company incorrectly connected the stove to the gas line. He quickly took care of the connections, tested everything, and stayed long enough to ensure the dryer came up to temperature. Super professional and responsive! This plumber (Vince) was supposed to install our dishwasher we ordered at Costco. The water shutoff valve under our sink leaks a little when being turned but doesn't leak when fully in the on or off position. We have played around with it a lot and know it works perfectly well. He refused to install the dishwasher unless we let him replace the valve for an additional $95 charge. That's WAY too much for such work and we told him we felt he was taking advantage of the situation. He became audibly upset when we told him that and packed up his bags and left. NOT a good look. It is going to be very inconvenient to have an uninstalled dishwasher sitting in my kitchen, however there's no way I would let an emotionally fragile bully take advantage of me in such a way. UPDATE: Thank you Jose for sending Philip to install the dishwasher the next day. He was very professional, did a great job and showed us how the dishwasher is supposed to work. We ordered a dishwasher from Lowe's. They subctracted with Options Plumbing in Whittier, CA to install the dishwasher. Phillip, the technican, said that the angle stop needed to be replaced. He could replace it for $195 or I could get my own plumber to install the ($10) angle stop and reschedule the installation. I had no choice because my tenants and their 2 children under age 5 would be without a dishwasher. It took 5 days from the time that the initial installation was scheduled until they could install the dishwasher. The angle stop installation would be a 2 minute job. I elected to have another change done which took 19 minutes at the same cost. Remember Phillip was already at the location and had been paid a service charge. I ordered a new dishwasher and mistakenly did not order the installation, so I hired someone via Home Depot's pro referral program. Long story short, this so-called pro took almost all day to install my dishwasher, only to have the whole machine come off when I lightly pulled the door handle! So, I called Jose and he gave me a reasonable quote and was available right away. When Jose arrived to inspect the installation, he found a number of problems, like missing parts the previous installer threw out! But he said he'd figure it out and make sure I have a working dishwasher by the time he left. Jose was neat, he brought his own carpet to protect my wood floors. He not only fixed the dishwasher installation, he also installed a new garbage disposer and kitchen faucet for me. Everything is working great so far, and I'm really happy with his work.
