Found myself a gem! Normally, while I wait for my car being serviced, I walk into downtown Burien. Not anymore! Today, after dropping off my car I found on maps a relatively new cafe-Orange Bakery. Speaking with the owner who pulled me a delicious Americano, they have been open since October. The service is excellent! The food is tasty! The space is relaxing! I was searching for a new place for coffee and came across Orange Bakery. Parking was plentiful on a Sunday morning and I was greeted immediately as I entered. I ordered my standard first-visit-to-a-new-place 16 oz extra hot Mocha, which was reasonably priced compared to some neighboring shops. While I waited, I looked through the offerings in their case to find delicious looking small cakes, scones and croissant sandwiches available. Mocha made and presented, we wished each other a good day and I was off. The mocha chocolate itself is good, not bitter like some other places, and the coffee smooth and balanced. I got the impression that they don't use thermometers at Orange Bakery, though, because extra hot wasn't so extra hot (nor did I see her use one). Good visit, I'd be back to try a sandwich or scone with my coffee next time. read more

We stopped by Orange Bakery again on a Sunday morning around 7:30am. We've always had great experiences here and usually give 5 stars, but this time felt more like a solid 4. My husband ordered the Buttermilk Biscuit Bacon Sandwich with an Americano, and he enjoyed it as usual. I tried the Chilaquiles with a cappuccino. The dish lets you choose green (slightly spicy) or red (tomato-based) sauce, and it comes with two eggs cooked any style. The flavor wasn't bad at all, but it did start to feel a bit heavy and repetitive as I kept eating. If it's your first time here, I personally recommend their pancakes or the buttermilk biscuit sandwiche, which I enjoyed much more on a previous visit. Still, Orange Bakery is a cozy spot with friendly service, and we'll definitely be back. read more

I stopped into this location today because I drove through the area and saw the sign for the orange bakery. A few days ago I had decided to look it up. I yelped it and it said it was closed. I immediately filled out a review from the location. I took pictures. What a cute little place in such an odd neighborhood. Lovely woman and family is running the location. It has a Mexican edge to it, but made American style with the taste. Offering some traditional chiliqilles and then there's frittatas and shasuka and lentils. What a variety who took my order the woman who took my order was chatting with the customer before me and he was asking what type of coffee she has it's really good, there's too many yummy things here to try. They have green and red chiliqilles You pay when you walk in and then you have the your food brought out to you. I overheard her telling them a couple after me because she's been open 20 days so this is a new location and she kept basically the menu the same. The shashuka had a Mexican flair for sure. It was not thick and the veggies were very big. Lots of green bell pepper which is not traditional but still yummy. The focaccia was a little stale after being toasted. The atmosphere is SO cute, the coffee was so tasty, and the food was AMAZING! We tried the Horchata Dirty Chai, the chilaquiles verdes, and buttermilk pancake plate. As Texas transplants with high standards for Mexican food, the salsa verde was very authentic and perfectly seasoned. Everything was cooked perfectly and had the best flavor. The owner was super friendly and contributed to our great experience. We will definitely be back! read more

I ventured to Orange Bakery primarily for a Too Good To Order pickup (3/22/25). Great indie that was full of customers dining onsite when I stopped by yesterday afternoon. I enjoyed viewing the variety of baked goods featured in the pastry case. The counter person was friendly. Once I got home, I was really surprised at the generosity, variety, and quality of the items provided. Loaf bread slices, cookie, and a layered dessert item. Fresh and flavorful. I usually have my usual stops when I visit Burien, but definitely Orange Bakery will be a worthy return visit. read more

It makes me sorta sad to write this review. Why, because I really wanted to like it! We went last month and I had a fabulous latte. Today we went for lunch, disappointed. We waited over 20mins for our food. My husband had the shakshuka, he enjoyed it. I ordered the TURKEY focaccia sandwich after reading the paper menu (not the menu on the tv monitor) that was handed to us when we sat, and seeing that it did not have bacon. I also ordered an iced almond milk hazelnut latte it was great! Finally, a vanilla chocolate chip bread to go. My disappointments: the sandwich had bacon on it, and the focaccia was dry and hard (definitely not fresh) it crumbled in my hand. The vanilla chocolate chip bread was stale and horribly hard!!! I can't believe they would touch it and decide to serve it anyway. Your a bakery and your baked products are stale???????!!!!! As much as I enjoyed the coffee I won't be coming back. read more

The best service I've ever had in a coffee shop! I was getting my car repaired at Toyota for a few hours when I decided to come to the bakery. I have the buttermilk biscuit sandwich and a tea. The lady at the front was so helpful and welcoming. I came to do some work on my laptop and she was so helpful at helping me get settled in with the Wi-Fi my breakfast and tea. Not only did she explain the different menu items, but she showed me as well. When I first walked in, it was the cakes that I went straight to as they look gorgeous and beautifully decorated in the refrigerator. She told me she put on events. read more

I do not often leave Yelp reviews but this place is excellent. I had the Buttermilk Biscuit BLT and it was the best buttermilk biscuit i have ever had. Nice crunchy top and soft and fluffy middle with good flavor, and not too dry. Their homestyle potatoes were also excellent with good flavor. Also a nice local vibe, in the 30 minutes or so i spent there several customers who came in and were greeted warmly by the owner. 10/10 definitely recommend this place if youre in Downtown Burien read more

Just grabbed my coffee and my loaf at my new local bakery. I love that they open nice and early. This churro coffee is one of my faves. And all their bakery items have been delicious. Excellent biscuits! I went in to try them out and will definitely return. The biscuit sandwich was very good (though I wish there was a cheese option other than American). I don't know what I was expecting for the side potatoes, but I was pleasantly surprised with cut red and purple new potatoes. The coconut cake passed my test, too. The cake had a very nice crumb, fresh whipped cream. There were several loaf cakes - coffee cake, orange, two I can't now recall. I tried the orange. Moist, orangey, iced. Yum. Finally, a pineapple empanada. Oh, man. They should be making pies with crust like this. I'm not a fan of most bakery pies. I guess it's hard make a good mass-produced crust. As we walked in the door of this charming and cozy little nook, we were met with the enticing delicious bakery aroma. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The menu offered many options--we took quite a bit of time trying to decide what to order for breakfast. Two of us had the Biscuit Breakfast Sandwich, the other two of us ordered omelets. We were all delighted with our choices, and since we shared bites, we loved the others' choices also. Huge portions and very reasonable prices!!
