I remember the first time I was introduced to this location, I had never tried sushi nor hibachi before, if you are looking for either look no further. Starting with the buffet, it's your standard selection if items such as dumplings, egg drop soup, sweet and sour chicken amongst others. Buffet is only a feasible 11.99, and that includes your sushi and your hibachi (Don't forget to tip!) highly regarded for its selection of sushi that you can partake in with no limits, complete with your shrimp sauce and other condiments! I'd noticed this place when I was in Orange Park shopping and thought I should try it and finally I did. The selection of items is a bit larger than I've seen at other Chinese buffets. The imitation crab salad was particularly good and I took two helpings of it. I like veggies and got two helpings of the green beans. On the other hand the spinach was a bit dry. The tray was nearly empty, so I might've timed it wrong and got it at the end of it's shelf life. I mixed the wanton and egg drop soup (which I always do) and it was fine, but not great. The stuffed mushrooms were good. The boneless roast pork was very good. They have a standing roast which you carve off a slice for yourself. It was a bit dry, but the flavor was good. I put some gravy on it. The ribs were outstanding. The desert table was the usual for a Chinese buffet. The small cream puffs were good and had a tiny bit of berry filling in them which pleasantly surprised me.. They had hard ice cream that you scoop out for yourself. Probably one of the best Chinese buffets in Jax. Lots of varieties of yummy sushi. All hot food is cooked well and tasty. Worst experience EVER! I ordered crab legs last night with my buffet and they were disgusting looking and smelling.Tried to send them back and get another order.Manager says No..She the picks them up with her bare hands and says either eat these or no crabs for you.I told her you cannot touch my food like that and then try to give them back to me. She then informs me she only touched the outside shells so the meat inside is fine. EWW AND NO THANK YOU! This is my favorite place. I can indulge in a vegetable coma with freedom. Other things are available, such as sushi. various Chinese dishes, and an American line. Desserts are adequate. Probably my second favorite Chinese buffet in the Jacksonville / Orange Park area. There's a good selection and the food taste pretty good. I prefer to get the Mongolian BBQ over eating the standard dishes left out then grabbing some crawfish afterwards. Depends on what I'm craving I guess. First time visit for the family and I. We were actually on our way to Golden Corral on Blanding, when the wife suggested going here. We read the reviews before but it wasn't in the stars for us to be here yet. Today was the day. The inside is a lot bigger than it looks outside. The variety is quite diverse. The decor isn't bad. The best part is the wife was quite pleased with what they had to offer. I give this 4 1/2 stars because they had a great sushi station and a great Hibachi station. Our waitress was pleasant enough. She kept our tea and water refilled when it was getting low. She also removed our plates when we were finished, before we put them on the end of the table. That is what I call professionalism! Overall, nice service. We will definitely be back, and we highly, highly recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for a great buffet. read more

It's an Asian buffet, they've become prevalent in recent years. The food is about what you'd expect if you frequent these establishments. They have a bit more American food than the others, but do you go to an Asian place to eat fries? I guess kids might. Go there, it's pretty cheap... Great sushi selection. Love the hibachi as well. The meats are the usual of any typical Chinese buffet: wings, boneless spare ribs, sweet and sour chicken. Rice and noodles are good. I have not focused on desserts much (cutting down on sweets) but they have a variety of choices. read more

The lunch special is a deal beyond words!!! For $6.95 YOU can eat ALL the sushi you can hold....which I have consumed more than 30 pieces on a single visit. I have been to this place a few times now with my family, but now that I have yelp and we just went here tonight, I have decided to write a review. Food is great here. The waitresses are nice and they take care of you. I was really hungry so I got hibachi and that's where it lost a star. The hibachi was okay, but the chicken was bland and flavorless. The beef was also a little too chewy too. I am not saying the hibachi was bad because it was good, but those two minor problems are what caused me to give this place 4 stars. I don't know if I went on a bad day or what, but the food was soaked in grease and sweet 'n sour sauce. The tiny sushi was all dried out and their mackerel sushi tasted like bitter metal. I love sushi so I know the good stuff--horrible. This place smelt of mold when you walked in and the waitresses never really smiled at us. This one guy JASON was awesome, but heir food wasn't good at all. Greasy food floating in sweet n' sour sauce. The fresh fruit bar tasted bad since the fruit had an onion taste to it (as if they cut all the fruit on the same onion/veggie chopping block). Orange buffet has a lovely location, terrific prices, and friendly service. However, the food is way below par compared to Ichiban or number one china buffet that are both located in orange park. The Lo-mein noodles have a sort of soapy taste, the meat taste a little bit off, and the sweet and sour chicken seemed fake. My friend and I have been on a Chipotle diet for the last two weeks. Gym, Chipotle, Gym, Chipotle! Those burrito bowls are serious! So, we get out of the gym and I go what's the plan? I've heard some good things about this place, but I tend to stay away from buffets unless I'm in Vegas., but He said the lunch special was only $6.99 and Hibachi is included. He had me at Hibachi! Its about as clean as it gets inside. The Hibachi is legit. You pile your plate with all the stuff you want and the chef fires it up. I went with 3 eggs(egg whites only cause I'm watching my figure hahah ), chicken, shrimp, noodles, and teriyaki sauce. A simple concoction, but so nice I got it twice. The green beans were snappy and seasoned perfectly, the Honey Chicken didn't really have good chunks of meat, but I fished the big boys out and was happy with the result. The vegetable medley with broccoli was about as good as it gets. The buffet also comes with Ice Cream and tons of small cakes. My friend literally got 7 scoops of ice cream and every little dessert he fit around it. I was so full from eating and plus I'm watching my figure, so I opted for a scoop of the Banana Cream Pie with Vanilla Wafers. You can't really mess up Banana Cream Pie...it hit the spot. Orange buffet is a very nice buffet. It provides great food and it definitely fills you up. The deserts could use some work because there are only 5 different types sweets. The bathrooms could also use a good cleaning. There are countless amounts of TRUMP 2016 markings that are either scratched on the wall or drawn on the wall and they don't make me feel comfortable. Also the pizza could use a bit of work too. In fact, just throw it away the pizza, it tastes bad. The service there is nice. All of the employee do their jobs just right and I always feel welcome there. Overall, Orange Buffet provides a good selection of food and I look forward to coming back soon. Eat here at your own risk. My boyfriend became ill from the sushi bar - as in food poisoning ill - he vomited at home. The restaurant - being your typical cheap buffet with questionable ethics - would not refund our money. The food is left out too long, and is a health hazard. The employees definitely do not care.
