Quality is everything to me and this place definitely showed quality, at least with our General Tso chicken we ordered. I was getting my eyebrows waxed and my boyfriend walked over to this restaurant for a simple order. I had to have half of his order because I have to Yelp about something to you guys. This was the best generals chicken I've tasted in Jacksonville. It was just a tad bit too sweet but the quality was great. The pieces of chicken weren't huge and chewy, but rather smaller and very crispy. We will definitely come here every time I get my eyebrows waxed and probably in between those times as well. The restaurant was empty and the person you ordered from seemed very confused on what we ordered. What we were given was missing items and when we asked for them she asked the cook in the back. He yelled at her to the point she stopped talking and it made for a very uncomfortable lunch. But on Valentine's Day, I had planned to cook dinner for my wife but kid duties took us out of our game plan and she said,"Can you pick up some sushi or Chinese food". But while it did not look like much, the Yelp reviews were good, very good. The order itself took about 15 minutes, which included four sushi rolls and three entrees. Seemed reasonable and as I waited, I realized that most people call ahead, which I could not do because I had no idea their menu. Darn, darn, darn, I really hate waiting. I did not try the Sushi, but my kids devoured it quickly. The Orange Chicken was okay, the Honey Chicken was delightful and the Moo Shoo Chicken (with heavenly plum sauce) was amazing. They even said they deliver to my neighborhood, so that is a real plus. Do I think it was out of this world, no, and I have still not found my "go to" asian restaurant in Jacksonville. I don't like to try new Chinese counter service restaurants since it's usually a hit or miss, unfortunately this place is a miss for me. I ordered for pick up and I have to agree with other reviews about the poor service. The lady that took my order was very short on the phone and not welcoming in person. They have a couple tables that you can count on one hand for seating, however I got distracted by a table was occupied by a child and man. The table was a mess, with scraps all over and child was eating from a metal prep pan. I'm assuming it was the owner's daughter or family member. The man quickly cleaned it up after I entered the restaurant, not a sight that was very appealing. Now to the food. We ordered several dishes: General Tso's Chicken, Chicken Lo Mein, Kung Pao Chicken, Bourbon Chicken and California Roll. Based on the reviews, it seemed like the Chinese food was good, but the rolls were poor quality; however I had the opposite experience. The California Roll was the only thing that looked and tasted normal. We received something else io the Lo Mein, not even sure what it was. Overall the food was mediocre. The fried rice was very yellow, hard / borderline inedible, some of the veggies didn't look very fresh, and the meats weren't very tender. The white rice that came with one of the dish looked old and not white in color. I was surprised by the total too bc I ordered base on menu from yelp photos which reflected old prices. The hubby thought it wasn't that bad, but I think maybe he was hungry. Lol The leftovers were definitely all his and there were plenty of it. I eat here WAY to much! I think it's unnatural on how many times I order from here. I always get delivery and they come in around 30 minutes. The lady that takes my order knows my order as soon as I say hello. She always remembers my once in awhile orders. My favorite dish is Salmon Hibachi. It's just cooked to perfection. I don't know what is in it that makes me crave this all the time. The portion is great! I have had a lot of other dishes there and it's good. I just keep going back to my fav. My boo is being all healthy, so he get Healthy Steamed Chicken and Mixed Veggies. He loves it. The sushi is good. I tend to get the Dynamite roll a lot. Best Chinese in Jacksonville!! We have been eating here for the past 6 years and they have been consistent and have not let us down!! The food is fabulous and has flavor, unlike the other Chinese takeouts in Jacksonville!! It is ran by a family that actually cares about their customers! They want you to be happy and appreciate your business! I love their Chicken Lo-mein and my husband always gets the Bourbon Chicken, we also usually get their Crabmeat Rangoon's and they are perfectly sweet!! The portions are large!! That's faking it to the worst degree to me. Second, they sell me old and hard azz chicken. The flavor of the sauce was good, but no way could I eat the chicken. The sad part is, when I first walked into the place, I could see them frying fresh chicken and shrimp, and that was brought out to the owner and his wife and kid. There was also some prefried meat sitting in a basket over the fryer. That's what they gave me. I gave $5 tip for my $25 food. But they changed it to $15 by putting 1 ahead of my $5 tip. I hope someone should call police for their fradulent activity on people money. After I stood at the counter for several finally a very rude lady took my order. I ordered my favorite. General tso chicken combo. The chicken was very mushy and the rice tasted mushy as well as if it cooked for too long. I also ordered lean legs which were super oily. And to top it all off they just sat my food on the counter without telling me so I was just sitting there waiting for SEVEN minutes without knowing that was my food until one of their kids who were playing in the front told me. Only been here once but they definitely made it easy wanting to make a return trip. I had the Dragon and Phoenix dish. It was a perfect blend of General Sho chicken and shrimp. This place is a fraud. Please be carefully in giving your credit card. I had a pick up and my charge was $19.29. So I wrote $0 in the tip and i put cash tip in jar. I later found they made my $0 tip to $10 by putting 1 ahead of $0. I have to call my credit card company to take that $10 extra tip off my account which I never tipped.Food was ok and the only reason I went was because it was 4.5 star but they stole my money without my permission. I think they should be more professional and do their business more legit rather than stealing people money of their credit card. I love this place! They have consistently satisfied all of my Chinese food cravings! I always order takeout and the lady knows my number and order by heart now. I could never see myself eating in here although they do have an eating area. The only let down for me here is the sushi. I LOVE sushi but I'm not a fan of their sushi in the least. Customer service is everything. Didn't even get to try food from this restraunt because I asked for delivery and the lady on the phone said, "You can't pick up?" And I said, "Sorry, unfortunately not." And then she asked for the area I want the delivery, And then she said, "We no deliver there, bye bye." and hung up before I can say anything. I'm pretty sure if I called in my regular order of house special lo mein and shrimp tempura with extra shrimp sauce they'd know it was me. I don't recall the service ever being bad. Yeah, they can be short on the phone, but they appear to be a family business and are tackling quite a workload in that kitchen. Don't expect to be treated like royalty and don't waste their time. We ordered the lunch specials General Tso's Chicken and Pepper Steak with opinion and a side vegetable spring roll. I must say the food was so much better than most Chinese take out places.
