Anyhow, I was asked to send a detailed email with images to get a rough estimate. Did all that about 15 minutes later. Now 3 business days later - nothing. No response. No call back. I'm guessing it's because what I need is just a small residential fence replaced and perhaps it's just not a big enough project to care about. Either way. This was my experience. Did Not apologize or offer to make another appointment Update: after I left my review he called me and told me I needed to remove it or he was suing me for defamation of character. Tom and his wife are wonderful. He's reliable, does amazing work, and prices fairly. We had a really hard time finding someone to help us create an enclosure in our backyard so that our puppy could safely go potty without coyotes getting to him. Tom came by and brainstormed with us and ultimately created an effective and sturdy enclosure. He's also helped us fix our side gate and a couple other small jobs. Nice guy, prompt to come and look at the job. He said he would have an estimate for me in a day or 2. Said he for sure could get the job done next week. It was a small job. I had a time frame, needed it done in 2 weeks, he said no problem. He seemed knowledgeable, and I trusted him! Bad mistake!! AI texted his assistent 3 days after he was at my house, no reply (how does a business not reply to a text?) I finally called her 5 days after he was at my house. She had to reach out to Tom, got back to me saying he did not have time to do my job next week. I wasted a week, waiting for him. Very poor business practice. Took a chance and searched yelp after my daughter kicked a rather large hole in her bedroom wall. Tom was able to fit me in his schedule pretty quickly. Did several quotes regarding my broken heavy iron gate. Tom was the most reasonable price for the quote. Made an appointment and he came out the next day to take a look at my gate in which the hinges were broken. The next day after that he came and was able to perform the job perfectly. I felt blessed to have met Tom and his son. Great crew! They gave me an estimate on some old faucet replacements with extra challenges, a cabinet repair, an oversized closet door wheels installation, and door adjustments. Tom called to see if he could stop by the night get before to check on parts needed for the closet door so they could get the right ones. I was impressed on his thoroughness. These guys are incredible! Not only did they drop everything to come help me move furniture in the middle of the night, but when they discovered that the only way to get it in the house was by removing the veranda door out of the wall, they did it with no problem. They came back the next day to touch up some spots around the door, and it looks amazing. I can't thank these guys enough. Needed some repairs on my fence and gates. I thought it would be a reasonable size of project, so I called Tom to see if he could work on it. He suggested a couple of steel posts to fix one part of the fence without calling the HOA and replace another part as well as minor fixes to the gates. We came to a price and he started to work on the project a couple of days later. Everything went well and I paid the price. Later, after looking at the project and the results, I began to feel that the price was much higher than the job would entail. I am used to paying for a job with a reasonable markup, but a greater than 50% markup over labor and materials seemed excessive. Tom, though, would not come down on the price. I offer this review to say that Tom did a really good job on the project, but be very careful on the price of the project! read more

A big section of our wood fence blew down in the wind and exposed our back yard. I found Tom on Yelp and based on his good reviews decided to give him a call. He came out to see the damage, and then gave us an estimate online. The estimate was fair, so we scheduled the job. Communication was easy via his website and texts, which I appreciated. He and his co-worker did an amazing job putting in new posts that are solidly set and putting the old fence back up. I reached out to a few handymen yesterday because we had a backdoor that wasn't closing properly. Tom followed up with me ridiculously fast and asked me to send some additional photos. Based on the images, he told me what it would cost the first hour and he was at my house the following day. He came with a woman (maybe his wife?), and fixed my door within minutes. As he was leaving the house, he noticed my front door has a sticky close and spent some time fixing that (with my permission as well), then I remembered my son pulled down the towel bar in our bathroom, and asked Tom if that was something he could do while he was there. He texted in the morning & asked if we could reschedule for afternoon so he could go to chiropractor. I understood &and met him that afternoon July 14. I gave him my email address so he could send estimate. On July 18 I contacted him and he explained he was waiting for inventory as everything was slow due to pandemic. I called this guy (Tom) do some repairs for me and right off the bat he was very short and condescending. His tone and attitude were shockingly unprofessional. He wanted me to assure him that he would get the job before coming over to assess the job and give me a quote. When I offered to pay him a call out fee, he told me that his call out charge was a thousand dollars...an obvious attempt to get rid of me.
