Overall, MAJOR disappointment; although class time was informative & straight-forward. My biggest beef was with the range time. I certainly didn't expect brand new bikes, but I was beyond horrified at the state that the bikes they provided were in. I certainly would not let a loved one get on them. I totally understand they get dumped, dropped, and go through the paces as this is a training course; however, when you're asked to go 15mph and your speedo doesn't work, electrical wires are hanging...or you see that the bike in front of you has a bald rear tire, something's wrong. Worse yet, some of us could even tell that the clutches and throttles were pretty worn. These bikes were horribly unresponsive. My bike experience is mostly with quads and enduros. The overall feeling of those kind of bikes from the handlebars, shifter and rear brake placement feel very different than the POS dented up Rebel 250 I was saddled with. When I asked my instructor about possibly riding one of the Yamaha or Suzuki enduros they had, right away he said (queue sarcastic, I-don't-give-a-sh*t tone) they wouldn't fit me (I'm short) and the Rebel has exact same controls as any other bike. So I basically, "I don't care about you. Get used to maneuvering an awkward steering bike just because I said so." After reading other online reviews, I really wish I had Bobby or Ryan coaching me. Needless to say, I didn't pass my range test, however I did pass the written test (Seriously. What does that tell you.). I felt by Sunday, my riding technique improved, and I felt I at least did well enough to pass...not so much. This instructor was just there to read the training book and yell at what we were doing wrong (anything positive was miniscule). He never engaged with any of us on a personal level at all. When someone asked about the course for the next range test, his reply, "Well, you're not the leader. You just need to follow." That's nice to hear right before you're being tested. Anytime I've ever done any course or range time, I've always physically walked through the course. Pointing and yelling obviously doesn't accomplish anything. After dealing with all of this in 95deg blistering heat, and being tore up from the day before, I was glad this was over. Horrible weekend. So now I get to decide if I want to pay the $50 to go through the range course again, or just gamble and retest. KEY POINT: I did find out after calling the office that I can request a different instructor (YAY) and most importantly, I can bring my own bike (as long it's under 500cc), which sounds like a MUCH better option at this point. read more

If you are an experienced rider, this class may be helpful but speaking as a new rider, I highly recommend you go somewhere else. However, I will say that taking the classroom portion with Billy was informative and helpful but my instructor was Taylor and he was simply just rude and a dick (lack of better words). He clearly didn't want to be there based simply off of his body language and he assumed every rider knew exactly what to do after reading off of his pamphlet verbatim. He would bark out orders and just yell what you're doing wrong instead of showing you and giving actual constructive feedback that you can fix or improve. He would always ask the group if we had questions but when students actually asked questions, he would belittle them or seem so annoyed that you would never want to ask a question again. Pefect course for new and old drivers. This course had increased my motorcycle skills in an affective way. friendly staff

Miserable experience. I am a new rider. They expected me to know how to do things with muscle memory that I would not know faster than a newbie should. They gave unclear directions on the course. And then as they were rushing me, kicked me out because I kept stalling the motorcycle as I tried to start again. Which is an actual newbie mistake. So we wasted all the class room time on what to wear, barely 20 minutes on how the motorcycle works and then magically in 90 minutes of motorcycle time you should feel comfortable riding a bike. They are like the worst possible bf imaginable teaching you how to drive a standard transmission. Most of the people in the course had ridden before so the course is aimed at people who ride, not actually teaching newbies an actually new skill. Instructors are meant to teach, there was no actual teaching. New muscle memory takes reps and patience, these guys provided neither. read more

I came here to learn how to be a better rider and obtain my endorsement before I get my motorcycle license and couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. The instructors were incredibly knowledgeable and insightful in helping every rider correct bad habits and create good, lifesaving ones. I just finished my motorcycle safety course today and I passed! Ryan is an amazing range instructor! He was patient, gave great feedback, and never made me feel like I couldn't do it, even after I wrecked and dropped my bike. Because of his encouragement I got back up, dusted myself off, and successfully finished the course. As far as the classroom portions go, Bobby was the best of the lot, the instructor we had the first night kept us 30 minutes later than he should have and just read the slides. He didn't make it engaging at all. He spent so much time talking about riding gear that by the time we got to the important stuff at the end of the course, it was so late and everyone was so tired, that he just sped through it. Not cool. I highly recommend that all riders take this course, and pray they get Ryan as their range instructor. read more

So fucking annoyed, at how 3 people can drop a bike and pass, but a Combat Veteran with who drives 36 wheelers all over Europe currently on leave in California for TWO WEEKS before going back to Germany fails it like nothing. Piece of shit grading on the instructors part. And according to the terms and conditions you are allowed another test immediately after, no... "Call to reschedule buddy" this is why I don't come to the states often, my own state and this is the crap I have to deal with. read more

Oh heck yea. These guys were great. Riding those 250's was comparable to playing on go-karts :) So simple and predictable and slow. I took this course last winter and had been riding for almost a couple years, but decided it was time to stop renewing my permit and get my damn license already. Most of the students had no experience on two wheels and they were doing great by the end of the course. You could definitely see an improvement in confidence levels as we progressed through the three day course. The classroom bit was bland, and coffee was not provided for the night class (sorry...I had to say it. Coffee would have been nice, but you didn't lose a star! ;)). Even the experienced riders learned some bits, and even if you are unstoppable and know everything, take the course, enjoy the fun bikes and get an insurance discount (Sorry, doesnt work for AAA). An advanced course would be great! Oh, and thank for the tips on finding gear on Craigslist and with the Daytona. I'm looking at jumping ship to the Daytona platform from my Sprint and look forward to the change :) read more

Back in late December of 2014, I decided to enroll and pursue my license. I struggled savagely. I kept looking down, I felt unbalance and unable to function the motorcycle. Discouraged by my poor performance, I immediately quit. Instructor Taylor came to me and gave me phenomenal advice on how I can practice to be better. Recently, I enrolled again. Through out the 6 months period, I took instructor Taylor's advice, and i succeeded. Throughout the course, I wasn't perfect. I was just average still struggling. My instructor was Bob. Every time he noticed that I was struggling, he will immediately give me advice to try and do better. His attitudes towards his students is marvelous. At times, I will get frustrated with myself for I cannot accomplish a certain exercise. He will always tell me to relax and have fun. Advice for future students: Before enrolling, search up Youtube videos on motorcycle riding and functions. If you do own a bicycle, practice riding it. Practice KEEPING YOUR HEAD UP and look to where you want to go. Get a feel of balancing and practice turns. When you're doing the course, make sure to keep a calm mind and relax. You're there to have fun and learn something new. Don't be discourage by others, just worry about yourself. If you're struggling, quickly ask for pointers and advice on what you're doing wrong. Follow the instructor's advice, and you can pass the course. Also, make sure you study for the written test at the end of the course. DON'T QUIT ON YOURSELF! Have fun and be safe ! read more

I'm a complete novice, but this class nonetheless has taught me some valuable and crucial riding skills. Not only do you learn the basic layout of the bike, but how to up and downshift, take curves at higher speeds, stop quickly, and evasive maneuvers. I won't lie, I fell once as a result of front braking in a curve. You learn how to brake in a curve, too! I was just behind an unconfidant rider, combined with my lack of skill. Bobby came up and asked if I was alright, and also if I knew what I did wrong in the moment. The professionalism and care the instructors like Bobby and Taylor take is beyond words. I've been riding a motorcycle, regularly, over the past 29 years. With a little push, from my wife and my insurer. It was time to get licensed. I took the class this past weekend 11/10, 12th and 13th. I actually learned quite a bit... All of the instructors are great, Bobby and Taylor are excellent! It doesn't matter if you've been riding for a long time, or have never ridden before. Thursday night Vincent was the instructor going over the information in a positive way as to want you to listen, not boring. Sat/Sun instructors were Mark and Chris they were outstanding, both to people who have not ever ridden, to people who have and were getting back into. The class started with basics and progressed from their. Well worth the time and money. Make sure you study for the written and pay attention in the riding portion. The testing on Sunday they are looking for skill and you are timed. Pay attention and you will be fine. Also, they took everybody's safety very serious. read more

All I can say is "WOW, what a great time!" I have been riding motorcycles for over 14 years and decided it was time to get my M1. I checked out a few options and ended up here with Taylor and Bob. I came in thinking well I'll just sit through it because I know how to ride already but when we went through the class portion Taylor really shined and getting the knowledge across and preparing us mentally. day 2 we went to the range and our instructors were Bob and Taylor, they really made sure we knew what we were doing before we did it and they were patient with all the riders. They reinforced over and over if you have a question please ask so that people did not feel singled out. It was very professional but at the same time they made it fun and encourage riders to help build their confidence. day 3 was on the course again and same as day 2 they did everything to prepare us mentally and physically. Again, tons of fun. I thought for sure I had my riding down but they will help find room for improvement. They give you a ton of feedback and when it came time to take the test they tell you exactly what will help you pass and what are automatic fails. When testing time came on day 3 they were discrete about telling riders their scores so no one was embarrassed. Overall being around motorcycles for as long as I have I still recommend the class not only because you get to ride and get a certificate towards your motorcycle license but the fun and knowledge factor. Like I mentioned, I thought I would come in and burn some time but I had a ton of fun while still learning and improving on techniques I already knew. This is a five (5) star organization. Robert was my instructor on the course and he gets five (5) stars as well. Now, I've been riding for a very long time.. raced open class motocross back in the 70's. I went into this thinking there's not much these young guys can teach me.. but I was clearly wrong. As I listened to Robert and his no BS approach, he was spot on with every detail about riding. I walked away with a near perfect score ... but more important, he taught me things I never knew since I primarily rode on the dirt all those years. Robert has a way of offering expert instruction - treating his students with much respect, no matter what age or level rider. I went to the training course a couple of weeks ago and was trained under the wonderful and patient Bobby and Taylor. They were so knowledgeable and had great suggestions for me on how to improve after each exercise that we did. Despite being on my Vespa and not on a motorcycle, they continually helped and coached me. I felt so comfortable under their direction and still hear their advice in my head as I make my turns. I highly recommend this course. It is incredibly thorough and the teachers were fantastic. The flexibility of morning or afternoon classes was also very convenient for different schedules. I learned far more from this class and these guys than I ever would have simply by studying the dmv book and practicing on my own. I feel so much more prepared now to ride :). read more
