I recently resurrected the bike I had purchased from Orange Cycle some years ago so I could start riding with some friends. I have since moved to Sanford, so I went to a local chain store to check on some accessories although my past experience with this chain was their prices are high. I then went to another chain in Winter Park to check prices as well. Both shops were friendly and answered my questions. I decided to venture further into Orlando, this time after a ride and making a decision to upgrade my bike with some accessories. I decided to go back to Orange cycle even though it was further away. I met with Drew in the repair department and was impressed with his help at showing me the items I was interested in. Unfortunately the main item they were out of, but their installation prices were better than the chain stores at less than half on one store and a third of the other. I was able to purchase the gear changers I wanted from one of the other stores and brought it back. Drew installed the changers along with a couple of other enhancements while I ate lunch, instead of the couple of days one of the other stores said. I ended up getting the gear changers, some bike shorts , gloves, grips, pedal clips, and installation all for less than the either of other stores would have charged for parts and labor for the gear shifters alone, along with the great service and better advice I received from Drew. As noted in other reviews, Orange cycle has a huge selection on bikes, and accessories in 2 buildings probably the largest selection in Central Florida. I will be driving past the other 2 stores to go to Orange Cycle because of price, service , and selection. read more

I called 4 different times, spoke to Jayson. I wanted a Cannondale Quick cx3 for $850 dollars. I was told the company was all out,but they did have a Cannondale Quick2 in my size. I did research and decided to buy the Cannondale Quickcx2. I called again on 6-1-12, spoke to Jayson asked if the Cannondale Quick cx2 was still available? He answered me"I'm standing in front of the bike and yes it's still here". I am driving 65 miles to come and get the bike on Monday, Please put a sign on the bike with my name. At that point I thought it was strange that I was not asked for a deposit, but whatever. Jayson says no problem Angel. I am not working Monday but Bill or Kristin will be able to sort everything out. I get ther Monday at 11:39am and they open at 10am. Bill comes up to me and I explain the situation and he goes to the back. Then Kristin comes up to ask me, and I explain the situation and she disappears in the back. Bill comes out and says "I have good and bad news for you". I say that I just drove 65miles I don't want any bad news. We don't have the Cannondale Quick cx2, but for that $1000.00 dollars you should get a road bike. I tell him I do not want a road bike! I want the bike I came for the Cannondale Quick cx2! Bill then tells me the Cannondale quick cx2, the bike I wanted was sold. they hadve a huge store that has onle been open for an hour and thirtynine minutes and with all the bikes they have they just happened to sell the bike I WANTED. COME ON! Bill then says that the manager knows whats going on and is crunching some numbers and that they have the Cannondale Quick cx1 which costs $1550.00. I say you sell me that bike for the price of the bike I came for the price of the bike I came for and that will work. Bill leaves and comes back a few minutes later and tells me that they can give me a discount of $125.00 off the Cannondale Quickcx1 which costs $1550.00. REALLY! So your telling me that the bicycle that I asked to put my name on, that you didn't. I drove 65 miles 130 miles round trip.You then try to sell me a road bike. Ohand your manager knows what is going on and offers me through you, BILL, $125.00 Dollars off a bicycle that costs $1550.00. That I don't want, knows what's going on and has not come over to me to speak to me.REALLY! You think I'm buying a bicycle from this business which has behaved completely unprofessional and tried to BAIT and SWITCH me, that I am buying anything from you. I DON'T THINK SO!! I am new to the area and have been looking for a bike shop that I would trust working on my bikes. After visiting a few I decided to bring my bike to Orange Cycle for a tune-up, BB overhaul and to cut the steerer tube down on my fork. After meeting with the mechanic, Drew, we discussed the work and he told me the steps he planned on taking to get my bike in top shape. The work was done as promised and a full explanation was provided for what was done. Will definitely be bringing my bike back for any service I don't handle myself. read more

I bought a Dahon folding bike a month ago. I thought it was the right bike for me, but after lifting it in my car several times I realized it was too heavy. I went to Orange Cycle and explained my issue. They exchanged my bike for a different model and even refunded me the difference. Customer service like this is a rarity these days.
