Half chicken teriyaki Half beef teriyaki Crunch rolls California rolls

I heard about this place from my co worker so I decided to stop on by. Service was quick and outstanding. Was helped right away when entering through the door. Place is a bit small but you can feel the mom and pop presence when walking in. You already know that food is going be original and GOOOOOD! The food was fresh and they pack a punch on the serving size.

Great local place located in the industrials. Good food, great value, will definitely be coming back again. The lunch combos are the way to go, you could even share the amount of food between 2 people. The food was ready fast too. Great lunch pickup option.

The tacos had a teriyaki flavor that was different but so good.

It was good. The breakfast sandwich was very tasty. Got it on wheat and it had good flavor on the wheat. Might try a croissant next time. The breakfast burrito was ok. Bacon was a little sparse. And egg too. Tortilla was nice and soft

OMG! How did I not know about this place!? I've lived 2 miles from this grill for 38 years and just found out about it. I am loving the combo teriyaki chicken plate which comes with rice, part crunch roll, part tuna roll, salad and fruit! It's delicious and so fresh. Can't wait to tell everyone I know about it.

First, don't expect anything fancy or new school from this place, because it's not. This place is your average mom and pop franchise store serving a variety of foods from chicken rice bowls, to salads, sandwiches, burritos, and even hamburgers! This is the perfect spot to quickly grab lunch if you work around the area. The food is decently priced and good for the money. Simple, good, quick food. Also, try their specialty orange chicken bowl/plate! It's REALLY good! I'm giving five stars to help support this cute small business. #smallbusinesstuesdays

Everyone on staff is so friendly and welcoming, and the food is absolutely to die for. The vibes are HIGH in here as well, gives a "hole in the wall" feel with Michelin level quality. Highly recommend the Tonkotsu Ramen, perfect on a cold day, and really cannot go wrong with any of the sushi or sashimi options. Shawn puts an incredible amount of work into every roll and each cut of fish, and you really taste it. The bowls are very slept on too in my opinion, I've had a couple different ones and have never left disappointed. Also can never go wrong with the house sake, super generous pour and amazing flavor!

Location looks sketchy, but the food is good and price is very reasonable. Black Ramen (pork broth, black garlic oil, chashu, egg, green onion, beansprout, wood-ear mushroom) was really good. Great tasting broth without being too salty. Yellowtail Jalapeño Roll was excellent. Had this type of roll at other places, but the one here just tasted more vibrant. Very refreshing with a good amount of spiciness. Akuma Roll was good but was different than I expected. Based on the name I thought it would have a more menacing presentation with a super spicy kick to it, but it was rather tame and too bright in presentation. It has 4 types of fish, avocado, spicy mayo, soy mustard, truffle ponzu sauce, and soy paper. Service seemed efficient as we got our food pretty quickly, despite being busy. However, it took a while for us to get our check at the end.

We started with soju and the crispy calamari. The squid itself was good and I liked the cocktail sauce, but there was a little too much breading for me. Good, just not the best calamari I've had. The entrées were Immaculate. The gochujang pork belly with mashed potatoes was SO good. The pork was tender and practically pulled apart, while the mashed potatoes were creamy and soft. It genuinely felt like I was biting into heaven. Then came the dashi pesto udon with scallops. What a fusion. I loved the concept, the pesto was packed with flavor, the udon had a great texture, and the scallops had a beautiful sear. Momonoki is truly a hidden gem. Baranzino: tender fish served with a savory broth. Delicious and pretty healthy. I would come back for this for sure. Great start to the meal. 9.2/10 Garlic parm fries: delicious, crunchy, hot. I think it could have been even more garlicky but that is my preference. 8.5/10 Arancini: solid take on fried arancini but I didn't really get the kimchi flavors. Still tasty and would order again but maybe it could dial those flavors up. 8.5/10 Miso bacon carbarnara: definitely one of the highlights of the meal. Everyone was scooping up every bit of sauce on this one. 9.5/10 Pork belly: the pork was flavorful and tender but the mashed potatoes under it was the real hero. 8.7/10 Pork jowl: this might have been my favorite thing along with the carbanara. The problem was extremely tender and yet still had some give. The accompanying sauce gave it a salty kick and wrapping it in lettuce really gave it that korean essence. 9.5/10 Overall, this place delivered on great food and would come back anyway for a fancy meal. I think the price was also reasonable, which is all one could ask for when dining out. Chicken Teriyaki: I really enjoyed this, because I rarely go to Japanese restaurants that serve chicken teriyaki outside of a side dish in ACYE. The chicken is juicy, the teriyaki sauce is just the right hit. Not too salty, a hint of sweet, and the dish overall is generally light. A great complement to the rolls, yakitori, ramen, or whatever. Kyushu Ramen: I will admit that this ramen will fall on the pile of "generic ramens that non-specialty stores sell". However, there is nothing wrong with ordinary, if ordinary means that a restaurant is proud to serve something at a respectable price with a solid taste. Beef Tongue: It's no secret that beef tongue is good. The problem is finding an establishment that can cook it well. Kappo Honda does it well, and they offer a very good diving board to those who want to try it for the first time. Bay Scallop with Pork: I like it when I see an item on the menu that has a few words, and I taste all the flavors that the words communicated. You get the taste of pork the first second, then the burst of scallop on the first or second chew. A nicely designed stick overall. Service: Nothing special. They ask what you want, they give you what you want, you pay, and leave. I would say it'll take you a second to take the menu in, so try to see if the staff could help you out with options. Ambiance: It's a sizable place, but it feels small because of all the seats packed in. I enjoyed it because it gives a very Japanese vibe. The inside of the restaurant is full of autographs of famous people who dined at some point, very Japanese.

I pretty much love everything here, but the saba is usually my order. Wifey loves the tuna sashimi with a beer. Lol. The place has a cozy, casual feel, and one of the coolest things is all the autographs from famous Japanese baseball players hanging on the walls. Take a look when you're there--you might recognize someone! Another big plus: they stay open late, which is perfect when you're craving Japanese food later in the evening. I want to be clear that we've always enjoyed the food here, although even our most recent meal fell short. The real issue, however, has been the wait times, which have become unreasonable. Today my order was estimated to be ready at 7:15 PM. It is now 8PM and I am still waiting. For context, I placed the order at 6:00 PM. Meanwhile, guests continue to arrive and are being seated. Spending nearly two hours waiting in the lobby for a to-go order--both today and on our last visit--is simply unacceptable. The waitress did offer a free dessert and a gift card, which I declined because, unfortunately, we do not plan on returning. She then offered $20 off the bill. While the gesture was noted, it does little to address the broader issue when the bill is $130 and the wait has been this excessive. If the owners are reading this, please take a serious look at how orders are being managed. If the kitchen cannot handle the volume, online orders should be paused until the system is fixed. This used to be a place we genuinely loved, which makes this experience all the more disappointing. At this point, however, the wait and frustration simply aren't worth it anymore.
