She checked on us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed, which I really appreciated. Now, let's talk about the FOOD! I ordered the Cheese Willie with a side of onion rings, and my other mother got the three chicken tender kids meal. I LOVE cheeseburgers, and this one did not disappoint. The burger was thick, juicy, and cooked perfectly, the bread was soft, and the whole thing was just delicious. And the onion rings?! Y'all, I am VERY picky when it comes to onion rings, and these were SO good, and absolutely ginormous! Overall, we had a great experience from the atmosphere to the service to the food. I had a 10/10 experience during this last minute stop at Willie's. I had some time to kill and ended up really enjoying it. The outdoor patio seating was nice, and they even had a sand pit with toys for the kids, which was a great touch. The service was attentive and quick. I was a little confused about the drink setup since I didn't realize some drinks were self serve, but our waitress ended up bringing them out for us anyway. For an appetizer, we tried the Macaroni Brisket Balls, and they were phenomenal. I'm usually pretty picky when it comes to dishes like this, but these left a great impression. They were packed with flavor, super cheesy, and served hot. Definitely something I'd order again. For my entrée, I had the fried shrimp, which was delicious as well. Whatever batter they use has a great texture and a perfectly crunchy finish. To end the evening, we tried the bourbon bread pudding and the apple pie. Both were delicious, but the apple pie was my favorite and finished the meal perfectly. The bourbon bread pudding was good too, it has a strong bourbon flavor, so if you're not a fan, you may want to skip that one. Buyer's Beware. My husband and I frequent this establishment often, especially during crawfish season. We had a bad experience in the past but the restaurant had turned itself around with new management. Since then, we started to come all the time again, especially during Crawfish season. I frequently buy 1-2 pounds of crawfish and my husband 1 pound of shrimp so we are VERY familiar with the portions expected. Two visits ago, I ordered 2 pounds of crawfish but the portion appeared closer to 1.5 pounds but my server said that ai was the only table that ordered 2 pounds so it was correct. I let that slide. I decided that in the future, I would order 1 pound and order another pound later to ensure that I can see the exact portions. Yesterday, I stopped by after a long run. I ordered 1 pound of crawfish and my husband ordered 1 pound of shrimp ($21.99 for 1 pound and $13.99 for 1/2 pound). When our order came, the portions were half of what was expected. I approached the front manager. He took to the back and weighed it, we receive 1/2 pound each but was charged 1 full pound. To fix it, they remade the order and to our surprise, added the wrong weight portion at no extra charge. Because of that, I did not post of what felt like the kitchen cheating the customer. Today, we returned. I had a free Chicken Tender coupon so after running 12 miles felt it was a good time to use the coupon, enjoy a margarita and my favorite, crawfish. Thinking yesterday was a fluke, we expected the correct portion size. Well, stupid me. Again, the crawfish came out with the portion size smaller than expected. I just asked if my waitress could weigh it. Nothing more, nothing less. The kitchen manager came out and spoke down to me that I do this all the time. And he was NOT going to weigh it. First of all, yesterday was my first time demanding our crawfish and shrimp to be weighed and we were indeed cheated. The way I was spoken to was definitely not appreciated. Being someone who order a a pound of crawfish from different establishments, I know what a pound should look like. Did they weigh the potato and corn as part of the crawfish (or shrimp)? If so this is a new practice and false advertisement. Should we be charged $10,99 a pound with the crawfish or $21.99 pound with the shrimp. We think NOT! The only reason why we come to Willie's is because of the great margarita deals. So, if you are okay with the kitchen at this establishment cheating you on your meal, feel free to come here. We will no longer be coming to this Willie's. It is NOT the only Willie's in town. F we get the same treatment at other Willie's then it is a Corporate issue and we will eat elsewhere. Delightful new menu items. I had the smoked gouda burger, on a jalpeno cheddar bun. A little bbq sauce, some crispy bacon and a hit of shredded lettuce. Everything together was yummy! Hubby went with hot honey chicken sandwich and it too was a winner. Mario took great care of us. We sat on the porch. The misting fans were the bomb! The Willie's chicken sandwich is not shown on the menu but it's still available. The blackened chicken needed more seasoning and should be pounded thinner to cover the bun. For example, a cheeseburger with a standard side and beverage for less than $10. I upgraded to a side Caesar for $1.99 more. It was a bid side salad. Good Caesar dressing. Unfortunately I ate most of the burger before remembering to take a photo. The brioche bun was tasty and rgw grilled burger had a little char on the outside adding to its good flavor. We were a party of six and the ribs were tough and ultimately had to be switch for a burger. The Cesar salad was super hot with limp lettuce and onions. The chicken tasted as it was made way before and sat out. We had three burger meals that were cold and not fresh at all. The nachos that came with the burger were burnt and very bad tasting. It has a typical 'roadhouse' kind of atmosphere with the stereotypical rusty gas station signs, etc. We ordered the appetizer sampler and I had a baked potato with brisket. Then the sampler arrived, it took up most of the table. Everything was delicious. Onion rings are one of my all-time favorites, and these were exactly the way I like them.
