On our last trip we visited here multiple times, it's that good! So many options to choose from but the coconut is to die for. I honestly wish I could get this closer to home. Others in our group had different options and enjoyed them as well. Great service and wonderful ice cream!

Stopped in for a quick sweet treat. I was hoping for pistachio but they didn't have any this day. We got chocolate and cotton candy ice cream. It was good, although the chocolate was a little grainy. It's not cheapest place for ice cream but conveniently located near the beach. The service was good and plenty of places to sit indoors to enjoy on a super hot day. The art work was great, the kids loved it. Definitely worth a visit!

Many locals told us to take our little one to get ice cream at Orange Octopus. Their recommendation did not disappoint! Thankfully they were open late so we were able to eat dinner elsewhere and venture over to this gem. Toasted Coconut and Mint Chocolate Chip were VERY good.

Good spot! Visited this ice cream spot with family. The spot is small but has some indoor seating. The staff was friendly and happy to provide samples as needed! I got the Kentucky Honey Bourbon and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream in a waffle cone. The ice cream was creamy and both choices were good with very subtle and smooth flavors. Unfortunately the waffle cones were stale. Hopefully the cone I got was just not the best batch. I would definitely re-visit and try some other flavors!

Orange Octopus has been hiding from me for a long time. I can't even believe it. The sign caught my eye this time by Captain Curt's Oyster and Tiki Bar. We always go to Turtle Beach not Siesta Key. It's Quieter and the walk is way shorter and it finally caught my attention. This ice cream is local and home made and amazing. I promise I don't say that for all ice cream. I had the key lime pie with coconut and coconut topping. So perfect!! My husband had the sea salt caramel and strawberry cheesecake. They were exactly as they say they were. The orange octopus theme is the cutest. Love love love this spot now every time we go back to Turtle Beach!

Loved this place! Took my girls here after a hot beach day and it totally hit the spot. The inside of the shop was really clean and we loved the minimalist design. The ice cream was phenomenal-- I got the key lime, hubby got the Kentucky honey bourbon, and the girls got the Superman and the chocolate. Super creamy and not overly sweet. Will come here every time we're in town!

Speaking as someone who has tried nearly every ice cream store in Siesta Key... Orange Octopus is a strong contender for #1. I prefer a softer, creamier texture when it comes to ice cream and this place got it perfect. The chocolate peanut is amazing and I will be returning solely for this flavor. The dutch chocolate flavor is great for a dark chocolate lover. It is not a super sweet flavor which makes it a nice compliment to balance out another flavor. FYI: They don't split a single scoop here :( BUT you can have two flavors if you get a double scoop :)

Man this place deserves every star I can give it. It was a little hard to find. It's located in a strip mall next to Siesta Key bike & kayak. Parking is limited right in front of the businesses in strip. I was greeted soon as I came in and the young man asked I if I'd like to try any flavors. I tried 4 and they were all so delicious. The server helped me decide on Kentucky Honey Bourbon and Sea Salt Caramel. Man oh man I really enjoyed my waffle cone. The Ice cream was so creamy and had the best consistency. The waffle cone was fresh as well. The shop has seating inside and a couple benches ouut front so you can sit and enjoy your ice cream. As others have mentioned you get a nice sized scoop so if you did a cup you might be able to share 2 scoops. Highly satisfied with this establishment.

Best ice cream on the key! Its behind Captain Curt's so a little hard to see and sometimes difficult to get parking. But make sure you go! The salted caramel is always a favorite but I recommend the toasted coconut. read more

This is the most fresh, best ice cream in Sarasota. The location is wonderful too. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. For a truly tranquil experience avoid rush hour. You'll be happy you went! By the way, they have the best Butter Pecan I have ever tasted! That in a waffle cone is Heaven! The service is amazing too. I love everyone I've dealt with at the store. Whoever does their staffing has a talent for that. Be sure not to miss this place if you are in Sarasota. You won't regret it! read more

So creamy and flavorful! You can even get 2 different flavors in a 1 scoop size serving. You can sample flavors too. Be ready for a 1/2 hour-45 min. wait with a line down the sidewalk on busy nights. Very friendly staff too. read more

Horrible customer service and milk shake. I ordered a milkshake and it was barley thicker than milk. When I asked if the could make it thicker they said they could give me a small scoop on the side to mix in but not do it for me - they didn't care at all. Pathetic....go to Olaf's for better ice cream and service. read more

This is Siesta Key's best kept secret! We were here 10 days and had their fabulous ice cream 7 nights. We tried a few other places, but the serving temperature and flavor did not meet the quality of the Orange Octopus' standards. Their product is very creamy and obviously made from real ingredients, not powdered stuff. The texture was not icy and there was no artificial aftertaste. Thank you, we'll be back! read more

Wow! Very impressed. Extremely tasty and I'd say the best ice cream I've had in a long time. Longer than I even remember. I had a chocolate scoop and salted caramel scoop in a sugar cone. Son had cotton candy which was even better than real cotton candy. My family really enjoyed theirs too and I highly recommend. read more

This place is awesome. The space is clean and cute. The staff was super friendly and efficient. The prices were confusingly inexpensive...especially for the key. The ice cream was top notch. The Key Lime Pie, cookie dough, cookies and cream, and Dutch chocolate were all soooo good. We got ice cream and candy for five for 22 bucks. We will definitely be back! read more

We had the butterscotch blast, key lime pie (nice and tart), gator tracks, pb choc, and sea salt caramel (shake-form, delicious). Fresh-made waffle cones and super friendly employees. This place is AMAZING and I don't know how we didn't know it was here since we've been coming to Siesta Key for years and years. DEF the best kept secret in ice cream. Cute little place with incredible ice cream, like seriously, melts in your mouth heaven. Don't waste your taste buds on any place else. I saw a guy come in and order a huge half gallon or so of coffee ice cream. I'm sure he became a fan quickly too. read more

Since there's no indoor seating, we sat outside their patio area, sat and enjoyed our treats. If in the area again, we be delighted to go back.

8/10 good stuff…read more eaten here a ton as it's a very short distance to travel. service is nice, they show you their process of making the ice cream itself which is a unique feature. their brand of nitrogen ice cream is very novel among ice cream places located in sarasota and its quite good, as it has a very wide selection of flavors, toppings, and even bases. the ice cream itself is delicious as well. only real complaint is that due to it being flash frozen it has quite the "icy" feel; it's akin to getting your tongue stuck to a metal pole in the northern winter. this is really just a nitpick on my part however and i do recommend trying this establishment if you can.

I'd prefer them to change the name since there isn't exactly croissant bread involved with the dish at all. So that was misleading and a little disappointing. The flavor profiles went well together but this wasn't my favorite.

We didn't have to wait too long after ordering to get our stuff. They close early afternoon or until sold out so best to come early cause once they run out of stuff they don't remake. SNEAKERS DOODLE DONUT- perfect dough so sweet and airy. SOFT PRETZEL- one of the best pretzels I have ever had. And the size! It is a very large pretzel. I really love this place. It has a great small town feel to it and more importantly the ice cream is to die for. It has other little baked goodies, that I didn't try but they looked great. I really wish I found this place sooner. I know where I am taking my kids next time for ice cream for sure! read more

Great ice cream! I got the Sea Salt Caramel and it was amazing! New favorite ice-cream spot in the area. The girls working were very friendly and helpful- even with the line, we got through quickly. Would definitely have to recommend this place. read more
