The Service was impeccable as soon as we Walked in the door. We are big foodies because we make a lot of Gourmet meals ourselves. The food was amazing and such large portions. We started with octopus and bone marrow risotto. The octopus so tender and the sauce it came with was addictive. Bone marrow risotto cooked to perfection. My husband got the 17oz ribeye cooked médium rare and it was tender, flavorful and cooked perfection. I had the beef Wellington and it was delicious and filet was médium not overcooked which is easy to do with beef Wellington in getting puff pastry perfect. They also suprised my husband with a Birthday dessert. We were able to meet the owner on the way out and let her know about our amazing Birthday dinner and Service. So glad we are finally able to post reviews. My wife and I ate there for the first time about six weeks ago and had a wonderful time. The vibe is really neat. Upscale but welcoming steakhouse with a lot of energy. We went simple for the first time. Split the mushroom risotto which was excellent (highly recommend) and then we both had filets. I had my medium with Gorgonzola and it was cooked perfectly. Wine selection very good and reasonable and our server was professional, pleasant and engaging. He shared his story from growing up in the South Side and the path he took before returning. Orchid is of the same quality as Top Cut over at The Promenade but with a hint of casual that makes it fun. We are lucky to live nearby so looking forward to returning soon! read more

Recently visited from out of state as a recommendation while passing through and let me say Texas needs their own Orchid Steakhouse. Outstanding does not even describe the evening I spent here. Went for a Father's Day celebration with my family & while the food, ambiance & service was good, the owner did not come check on us not once! There was a dish brought to our table in error & also my daughter ordered her entreé but didn't like it so she exchanged it for something else. Not one time did the owner come to check on us, ask if everything was ok....NOTHING. I watched her go from table to table to check on all the other customers & even saw her standing idly near our table of 6 a couple of times without acknowledging us at all. Great customer service from the moment you walk in until you leave. Ambiance is nice, dark with some music playing, not loud. The food was amazing! Starting off with the house bread, which was so good, for appetizer, we had the octopus. That was the best octopus I've ever had. My husband ordered the lamb shank, which was tender and flavorful. I had the rib eye that was cooked to perfection. The brocolini was garlicky and flavorful. I had the expresso martini flight, which consisted of three versions of expresso martinis. All were so good. Didn't have room for dessert because we were stuffed. The owner came over our to our table to ask us how everything was. Will definitely be back. read more

Overall I would give this steakhouse a 4.5 as all was great but a few things didn't work for me. The waitstaff were fantastic I felt very well taken care of. Th atmosphere was cool and the music was ok. The flatware was very nice great fit in my hand. The bread to start off with was not very appetizing, it seemed like it was heated from frozen, not good at all, took one bite and sent it back. The Cesar Salad was ok but it didn't feel like it was prepared fresh for me, it gave the impression that it was a serving from a bulk prepared stash. The croutons didn't stand up to the dressing, many disintegrated. The rack lamb chops with basil pearl cous cous was a hit. I didn't expect the cous cous to be cold and it wrecked my mind at first taste, it totally worked and the portion of lamb was very generous, loved it. The dessert menu was way too sparse for a steakhouse, nothing really appealed to me. A slice of cheesecake with strawberries would have been perfect. So I had a cup a coffee instead, if the lamb wouldn't have been so good I wouldn't be too happy, the coffee was lukewarm at best, very disappointing. One more thing that is none of my business, the 2 mgmt. or owner types sitting in front of the restaurant cheapened the mood. The restaurant floor belongs to the customers and working staff, having these two sitting there on their phones and pads distracted me in a weird way, it lessened the experience, but what do I know? We went to this restaurant for a birthday celebration but was given the gift of disappointment. When we arrived, table was not ready and we were seated 10 minutes late. Drink order took 30 minutes due to the "bar being back up." Food order arrived, but one entree was never given to the kitchen so never arrived. Second drink order took 20 minutes. Staff attentiveness seemed a missed. Food was good but service was completely lacking. Manager and chef both apologized for the delays and missed food, one entree was given as a to go, but no additional compensation provided. For what you paying for, we expected more. read more

We went last night to Orchid after going there for the first time on New Years Eve which was super crowded and our food took forever and some peoples entrees were even cold. This time was better and good but not great? Service was excellent and our waitress was super friendly and helpful. Two managers asked how we were. The drinks were off.... one asked for Kettle one a little dirty and it was yellow from so much olive juice. My kettle one with lime had no lime second time and I asked for extra lime and got 2 teeny wedges? The clams casino was tons of breading and was very lemony which is not "typical". The seabass and scallop entrees were excellent but the pasta dishes again.... Lemony? What's with all the lemon? It's was overpriced for what we got and the room is loud. It's a beautiful place but too open to have a conversation. Our group preferred Apollo where the menu is more diverse, food and pricing is fair and not so open and loud. We've had the steaks here which are incredible but at $60-$70 is so unaffordable to so many with inflation. More NYC pricing than Bethlehem. read more

We went to Orchid last week for a mid-week dinner. It was out first time there, but it will not be our last. The food was outstanding! we had the oysters, truffle gnocchi and octopus to start, then two beef wellingtons. the gnocchi was light and fluffy with a wonderful parm cream sauce. the Octopus was the best thing we ate, it was cooked perfectly and a large portion considering it was an appetizer. The beef wellingtons came out presented with the mushrooms. they were devine. While the food was excellent, the service was even better. our team of wait staff took excellent care of us, our lead waitress was very friendly and took time to have conversation with us. this place is the tops! we will definately be back! read more
