Spicy Eggplant with too many onions.
    Suzanne S.

Ordered for pick-up for Spicy Eggplant (no meat) , Crab Rangoon, Steamed Rice and Roti. Quality has changed and Egg Plant had more onions than Eggplant. The Crab Ragoons are made with thick dough deep fried which is heavy terrible taste not using light phyllo dough rice paper that was light and crispy before. Very disappointing, haven't ordered from them in about a eight months and "will not order again". Food use to be better quality and tasted the difference. Probably cutting back on previous ingredients used and quality is suffering. Cost is probably to high to keep up. It's getting like this at several restaurants I've been to.

This sweet Thai restaurant is now on our regular radar for returning. The food was delicious and fresh. I usually want drunken noodles at a Thai restaurant and of course we did order here as well. I wish they were a little spicier and will order better next time when it comes to spice level. You order at the counter and the food is delivered freshly prepared. First time for me and Thai iced tea and it was delicious as well! I noticed they also have outdoor tables in the shade when it is a little cooler. Will return for sure!

My folks and relatives came by and we wanted Thai Food during lunch time on a weekday around noon and fortunately, there was one within a 10 minute drive. First time here - everything was clean and ample seating. We were greeted immediately and were advised to order up front prior to seating. It took a while to figure out what to order, but we ended up getting: Fresh Rolls Tom Yum Pad see ew Rad nah Thai Fried Rice Kra Pow Kai Dow Rad Nah Way too much food for a party of 5. After being seated, the food arrived in a timely manner. There was however an issue with one plate we had ordered that did not come (we ended up cancelling it). The food itself? The presentation was great. There was however no consensus on the enjoyment of the multiple dishes. A big mix of meh/okay/good. I think a lot of it had to do with any dishes with chicken - the chicken in a few dishes were a tad bit too dry. We requested for all dishes to be mild (just in case), and one of the dishes was extremely spicy for some of the party. Overall, I'd like to give this location another shot solo - some dishes just taste better with different types of protein (for me).

Shrimp Pad Thai, Chicken Satay and Tom Kha Gai soup delivered tonight and everything was excellent. Did the 1* spice level again for the Pad Thai and this time it was much more toned down than our first trip here, just a nice lingering heat. The Tom Kha is outstanding, could have this every day, did chicken tonight, will probably go tofu next time. Nice local spot, definitely worth supporting.

Have been to Sisters several times since the original review - food and service continue to be very good. The massaman curry is delicious and came out piping hot. And they are giving a decent sized portion of rice now (was very small when they first opened). Pad thai continues to be excellent - not too sweet and a lot of chicken. Spice level 3 had a good kick but not too hot for me. Sisters will stay on our list for Thai!

Chicken Pad Thai and Thai Tea

I ordered to go their chicken pad Thai and did the spice level 2. I thought it was the perfect balance of flavor and heat. It was not bland at all, the chicken was not over cooked and still moist adding to its perfection. The only downside or complaint was the portion size. It was on the smaller side and I was really wishing for more. Lastly, I can't go to a Thai restaurant and not order a Thai Tea. Delicious as always.

I got take out and BOY 1. Service was 10/10 and I didn't even eat in...I was checked up on multiple times and when I arrived, they've made sure that my order was being worked on and let me know the status of that 2. I got the chicken pad Thai and the beef drunken noodles. Both were absolutely incredible. Just delicious. 3. The restaurant was pretty clean from what I could see and there was so many people when I went there.

Delicious Thai food and consistently excellent service. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making every visit an amazing experience. Highly recommend!

Their interior design and artwork is probably the best I've seen in Roseville. Bountiful crayons and coloring for kids - convenient for parents! Every item we ordered was absolutely muy fantastico! Love that you can specify spice levels 1-4 for many of their food selections. Personally, I feel level 2 spice is our sweet spot (we tried 3 and it was a bit too much). My take? 1 Mild spicy, 2 Moderate spicy, 3 Very spicy, 4 Killer hot spicy. Our mix this visit - MTK money bags, pad thai with shrimp (no spice), pineapple fried rice with shrimp (no spice), panang curry with chicken (spice level 3 - bit much for us), thai iced tea (1 dine in free refill! Not for takeout though), sticky rice, and beef salad (least favorite, not worth the price tag IMO). Excellent Thai food and absolutely worth a visit for foodie lovers locally! Probably not worth going far out of your way but great spot to satisfy your Thai cravings if you're in the area.

I ordered the Pad Mee Kow or Drunken Noodles with Beef just based off Yelp photos. I don't normally order this dish, but it's the best I've had. Noodles intact and not stuck together. Lots of beef. Not the most tender meat, so maybe pork would be better. On my next lunch visit, I ordered Pad Ka Prow with Ground Pork & Brown Rice and a small Crystal Noodles Soup. You can choose a spice level from 1 (mild) to 5 (most spicy). I chose level 3, but I probably would be happier with level 1 or 2. Choice of jasmine rice or brown rice. I enjoyed the chewy texture and appearance of the brown rice. Pad Ka Prow is tasty. I loved the Crystal Noodles Soup. It's seasoned well with lots of ingredients, like chicken, wood ear mushrooms, and Napa cabbage. There are 5 different soups that you can order as a Small portion, including Tom Yum, Tom Kha, and Wonton Soup. I look forward to trying more soups. I liked the ambiance, pretty Thai decor, muted green dining room, and easy listening music, often love songs. Thai Basil would be a good restaurant for a date. If I were to compare just on the food alone with a couple of other high rated Thai restaurants,…read morethen maybe it would get a 4 star, or 4.5 stars. The food is delicious and prepared traditionally authentic, no doubt about that. When comparing certain dishes also served by a couple of other highly regarded Thai restaurants between Roseville and Rocklin, I prefer same dishes at those other places. But then every chef and cook deserves to present their own variations of the same traditional known recipes. However, Khobkoon has choices not found in other Thai restaurants as entire fish. Most others serve precut morsels of fish, but mostly only serve shrimp and chewy squid. If comparing prices between this one located in West Roseville area from Sisters Thai Kitchen also in West Roseville, both have slight different variations on shared types of traditional dishes. Both also have dishes not found in the other and that is a good thing for us seeking variety. The main difference, given similar pricing, is that Khobkoon provides conplete table service with all the basic proper amenities and owner's personal attention . He even gives a complimentary truffle chocolate treat per each diner. At Sisters Thai Kitchen, it is more like a semi self help service and yet prices are as if complete at table service. is included. To me, good service and comfortable atmosphere, even if not fancy, is a big part of the overall dining out experience. I dine out to enjoy the experience, not simply to eat just to stuff my stomach. The wall interior is warm carved wood with comfortable lighting. Yet prices are equal or comparable to the other one with uneven service. I will be patronizing Khobkoon more often, and especially since it is my preference to support overall fine quality restaurants , whenever possible, closest to where I live which sustains an economically healthy neighborhood as well.

On Sundays, she's in the kitchen cooking and turning out amazing dishes as well! Last Sunday I brought vegetarian family over for lunch and we ordered my goto safe and tasty silver noodles. It is made of mung bean which gives this clear noodle look and quite chewy. The flavor is a good balance of sweet and savory but not spicy at all unless you tell them to. Wife had their spring rolls and kids had drunken noodles no spicy. They are very accommodating with all sorts of requests like no eggs no onion no garlic etc and wanting soft tofu rather than fried tofu. I saw how many new specials they have plastered on the window and inside entrance, I knew I had to bring my parents over this Sunday! We came in today and order the crying tiger. We do wish it to be rarer for more soft texture but the flavor was great. My parents liked the ocean in love with the lobster tail, shrimp, and scallops over spiced veggies. The BBQ pork ribs was another safe choice of mild and savory Sweet flavor while the meat was tender. I didn't try the tom yum shrimp fried rice but my parents liked it as it has coconut flavor and it was literally a mountain of fried rice! Spicy though and I had to refrain while letting my GI heal from recent injury. Upon placing the orders, the owner quickly came out to see if it was really us! That's how we found out she cooks in the kitchen as well when she is needed in there. Always a pleasure and loving the innovation of new dishes. We also love their curry puffs!
