    Raw Chicken Wings

We have been at this location several times. Tonight was the END! We ordered (2) each of the Golden Wings for pickup and when we started our dinner we noted the chicken was raw. The restaurant did refund the cost of the wings after I called. It a shame the cost are going up and quality is going way down. Suggestion~ look for other options or dine at your own risk.

I love Oreganos and I've been to many in the valley! This one in Cave creek might be on my top 3! Food is always delicious. We love the calamari as appetizer. I can eat a whole basket by my self but shouldn't! The meatballs with marinara is also amazing. Our go to pizza is the numero one O! But this time we asked for it with white sauce and it didn't disappoint. The hostess and servers at this location were all super nice and sweet. The restaurant was super cute! Music wasn't as loud as other oreganos I've been to. I liked that! Definitely will be back again when we're in the area! Keep up the good work guys! The pastas and salads are huge and are shareable! Save room for the pizzookie!!

So glad we had great company when we went to Oreganos because we were Underwhelmed with the food. Staff was friendly, however they kept coming back with, we do not have this or that item. Once we got that settled out our food started arriving accept mine, it took at least 10 minutes longer than everyone else. Granted it was pizza, but the crust was very thin and should not take long.....it was not burned but was cooked longer than needed. Even though I was hungry, it still was not very flavorful. My friends, also thought the food was pretty plain or not to their taste. As I said staff were friendly and did what they could to provide good service.

Went with a few friends. The service was tremendous, ask for Jennifer. She is kind, patient, and happy while doing her job. The restaurant was clean and the AC temperature was perfect. There is ample seating too. The food was delicious, served hot and speedy with quality pizza toppings and excellent wine. Some of the other pizza places I frequent have become a disappointment. Not Oreganos. Same food as it has always been and consistency is key!

This is 5 oz of shrimp in the dish that was advertised as having 1/2 pound

As long time customers, we've been really disappointed in the food lately. Yesterday we ordered hakuna chicken and el diablo pasta with shrimp. Unfortunately we stuck them in the fridge when we got home as we were eating much later. The shrimp dish is advertised as having almost 1/2 pound of shrimp. When I opened the container, it was sad. I picked the shrimp out and put them in a plastic bag to weigh them with a bunch of sauce on them. Just over 5 oz completely covered with sauce. And a small portion of pasta too. $18!! Ridiculous... The chicken dish was advertised as having capers. Absolutely none to be found. And again, a small portion of pasta. What has happened to this place? As soon as we drain our gift card, so long Oregano's.

The service was impeccable! I found a slight problem with my food and I told my waiter but did not want to bother other than to let them know. My server offered one of the big cookies they have there for the mistake and at first I turned it down but she definitely knew I wanted it deep down and was very sweet about everything. After I said yes I thought I was done but the manager came up and instead took the mistaken food away and told me I could get anything on the menu instead, free of charge because of the problem. She also took off the charge of the original food I had which was super sweet. I ended up not being bothered one bit by the mistake and they were so kind and helpful.

    One-O pizza

Went to the Cave Creek Oregano's and split a large One-O pizza. Very yummy and super filling since it had loads of toppings and a delicious square-cut crispy thin crust. A great place for a family pizza and a night out - very kid-friendly too. The eye-catching ambiance was a lot of fun with colorful decor, vintage objects covering the walls and ceiling, and vintage B&W tv shows playing on the televisions. It keeps you busy looking around until your meal arrives. Also vintage Dean Martin/Frank Sinatra music playing. Service was fast and friendly, and attentive throughout the meal. A fun place for a nice escape evening

Our monthly guys outing chose Oregano's since another new restaurant couldn't accommodate (12) It's a great group, but can be a little challenging with all the different orders and need for individual tickets -- but you'd never know that here thanks to Jennifer! She was awesome, full of energy and so friendly -- we felt right at home. The atmosphere is so good and inviting as well, it's got a great vibe throughout the restaurant and bar. The only knock, and it's not a deal breaker, is the food. I'll give it 4 of 5 stars and just know that it's just good ole fashioned American/Italian comfort food. We'll definitely go back, but if you're looking for a Michelin Star -- this probably isn't your stop.

The patio views are beautiful, and the weather made it such a great spot to sit outside in the evening. The live music was a perfect touch...not too loud, so you could still have a conversation comfortably. The owner even walked around and spoke with guests, and both he and his wife were incredibly friendly. You can tell they really take pride in the entertainment they provide and in making sure customers have a great experience. As for the food, it reminded me a lot of the pizza at A Modo Mio Cucina Italiana, which is just a few streets away. If you've had and enjoyed their pizza, you'll likely enjoy Pizzicata as well. I ordered the Jennifer calzone, and it was okay. I would try a calzone again, but with different toppings. I added a meatball for an extra $3, and honestly, it didn't quite hit the spot compared to homemade meatballs. The calzone had a lot of ricotta and not a lot of other ingredients in it, so if you're not a big ricotta fan, this probably isn't the best choice. That said, the ricotta itself had a different flavor than other ricotta I'm used to. The calzone doesn't come with sauce inside, and the side of sauce is pretty small. I was charged $0.50 for an extra... I probably could've used two or three sides of sauce since the calzone had none. That being said, the sauce itself was excellent... very close to the flavor of sauce that my family makes. This sauce really gave the calzone a good Taste, it just needed more! We also tried the mozzarella sticks, and those were good. Overall, the atmosphere is beautiful, the space is a nice size, and the staff is warm and welcoming. It seems like a good place to bring kids, although when we went (Thursday around 6), I didn't see many. The decor is lovely, and the overall vibe makes it a place I'd come back

She was awesome and encouraged us to try the pizza. The pizza was awesome. JC was so nice and so welcoming. The food did not disappoint. It was delicious and the pizza crust was the best we've had in the USA! JC told us that their flour is shipped in from Italy so it's much more healthier and TASTIER than the flour out here. Since it was so good we couldn't wait to bring our kids there. We were greeted immediately by Randy and sat immediately. Randy was an awesome server and our food came out very quickly. She checked on us enough to make sure our food was good and our drinks were always filled. She was very friendly and welcoming as well. Before leaving, we decided to get some gelato and Noah helped us. He was very patient with our chaotic family and gave us good recommendations on the gelato. This place is so cute, very clean, has awesome food, but most especially wonderful customer service. Good representation of Carefree and Cave Creek!!! I can't wait to bring out of towners here.

The restaurant itself is quaint, not huge which is nice. They have a good share of outside tables as well. There were 5 of us in the party and we ordered 4 pizzas, only my brother-in-law and I split a pizza between us. So when we left, we ended up with the equivalent of 2 full pizza, so we put a good hurt on the 4 that we ordered. I was in the best seat as I could see the work that they were doing in the "kitchen" so to speak. They were a machine, 3 to 4 guys preparing the pizzas and I think the owner, was operating the oven the whole time. They were cranking out the pizza like crazy! I had asked Kristina how many pizzas they put out a day, she said she was told 190 on a typical day, much higher than that I guess on the weekends. Kristina, what can I say about our server. She was the best. When we ordered, no paper, no electronic device, all memory. And I watched her enter the order in the touchscreen computer, and it was amazing. Just blazing fast, and accurate at the same time. She kept checking on us to make sure if we needed anything during our stay. We ordered a white pizza, margarita, one margarita with onion and pepperoni and a Kicker. I only had the Kicker and margarita with the pepperoni and onion, they were so damn good! Of course, the kicker was the spicy one. And I am glad I did not put any crushed red on my first slice because it was just spicy enough. I like my hot food, but this was delicious as it. And my wife's, the margarita with pepperoni and onion, so so good. I would order those 2 two again in a heartbeat! And this morning, they were pretty damn good for part of my breakfast.

I would never wait that long to eat in normal circumstances, but when I'm on vacation, my tolerance for waiting goes up. You just gotta have the right mindset. We were originally quoted about 45 minutes, so we walked around the mall, but there's really not much to check out so we returned to the restaurant and grabbed a spot at the bar for drinks. Unfortunately, our phone was on silent (our fault) so we missed the "table is ready call" by about 5 minutes. So even though we were physically at the restaurant, our table was given away. We did not hear anyone call out our name at the restaurant either. I don't think we were necessarily put back on the bottom of the list, but it felt like it, as we had to wait another 45 minutes. Waiting aside, we at least enjoyed the meal. The pizzas had a nice crispy bottom and good toppings. We also visited Pizza Bianca this trip, and preferred that. Ironically, we went to LAMP because we were worried that the wait at Bianca would be too long. But we were seated immediately at Bianca. Go figure! Nevertheless, our meal at LAMP was still good. 2 pizzas and an app was plenty for 3 people.

While some seats were available, it was a very warm day, and I couldn't manage sitting in the sun, as the one umbrella I saw wasn't opened, so we went back inside to see if any bar seating had opened, and fortunately for us, a couple of chairs at the bar were now available. It's super comfortable sitting at the bar here, with a nice open-air view across the bar to the outside patio area. The service was friendly, and the happy hour menu is plentiful. We were here for the food today, and there is no shortage of options at (by today's standards) pretty reasonable prices for the amount of food you get. And if you come at other than peak hours, you can even get happy hour in the main dining room and patio, so we hope to give that a try! We ordered three items: handcrafted meatballs with San Marzano sauce ($10) and rigatoni with pulled chicken ($12) from the happy hour menu and the half Tomaso's Sicilian salad from the regular menu (essentially a happy hour price at only $8). All of it was delicious, but the standout was the salad, which my wife said was even better than the salad she orders when we visit Little Italy in San Diego. That's a huge compliment! The atmosphere isn't quiet, but they didn't have super loud, blaring music when we were there, which was welcome. It's essentially a square dining room with a bar on the side. While the bar patio on the north side of the building isn't much and isn't shaded unless you score a spot with the umbrella or come at a time of day when the building blocks the sun, the main patio is nicely covered and shaded at all times. We look forward very much to coming here again and trying other items they offer, especially the pizzas. It's nice to have another dining option in this part of town. :)
