We've been going to Oregano's for a 6 years now and it's always been delicious but the last 2 visits the pastas have been disappointing. Both times the 3 pasta dishes we ordered were so bland and lacked enough sauce. They either didn't season the pasta water and didn't shake off any excess water because the sauces tasted watered down. Mine and my husbands Big Rig just tasted like we were eating plain pasta with a hint of tomato. Good food. Good prices. Good service. The lunch bowl-o-pasta is 5.99 and an all you can eat pasta bowl. It's really tasty and for a few extra dollars you can get awesome meatballs or sausage....or one of each. We also really like the Pablo Picasso salad. The salads are absolutely enormous (they call their small size "big") and can easily be an appetizer for 4 people. Called ahead to order pizzas and didn't realize they were packed up to go! Arrive at Oregano's with a baseball team AND their families ready to eat. The manager was polite, calm, flexible, helpful, and made accommodations to fit us ALL! Service was stellar, especially by Stephanie! Pizzas were delicious! All enjoyed extra thin crust from traditional pepperoni (hiding under cheese---sneaky yum there), and pesto was a favorite! Boys and families were able to make it back to ballpark with full bellies and pulled off a championship tournament win. We live in California, but will definitely be back for a slice!!!!! read more

The host told us 20 min after 15 min outside she told us it would be another 20-30 min. The place was empty. Went here for the first time in Monday and went back Tuesday night because we couldn't get enough! Highly recommend going a bit earlier than the normal dinner time or you can expect a bit of a wait but the food is phenomenal and totally worth it. Some of their food takes about an hour to cook which we were warned about but again it doesn't matter when the end result is heaven in your mouth!!! I hate to give this place such a low rating because the food is actually pretty decent. Our visit was pretty terrible. Once we sat down and ordered, it took at least 45 mins for our food to come out. Anyone that has been to dinner with small children knows how awful that is. They ended up bringing out the kids food first so that they could at least eat. The adults food came about 5 minutes later. My wife ordered the big rig pasta with chicken off of the gluten free menu. When the food came out, the gluten free pasta wasn't cooked fully and there was no chicken. We ended up sending it back and just ordering the same thing to go for her. I ordered the zany ziti. The pasta was ok but not enough sauce for my liking. It's always exciting coming to Oregano's. Especially this location.. I have tried all of their pastas.. not a big fan of the mushroom one, but definitely the Alfredo the Dark with chicken! Yes the name is catchy, but the taste is another story.. they slice their chicken in a way that makes it unique, different from any chicken I tried before and not to mention super tasty! Their lasagna is amazing too. Now, their chicken wings tastes incredible.. especially if you mix the hot and gold together.. it also comes with refill tasty chips. I wanted to post this review after trying their deep dish pizza.. OMG! Incredible.. I get it with sausage and basil! The cheese pull is another story! If it's your first time, I highly recommend their cheesy garlic bread! You'll never go wrong with their pastas.. if you like whiskey, they make good and reasonably priced Manhattan. read more

Terrible. We ordered 80+ dollars of food for delivery and every dish was terrible. We ordered calamari, wings, deep dish pizza, and Alfredo the dark. The calamari was over cooked and bland. The wings were soggy and didn't have a kick. The deep dish tasted like it was from Pizza Hut. And the Alfredo the dark, probably the most disappointing of the bunch, was 3 pounds of tasteless pasta. After deciding on Oreganos over many other places, our group couldn't have been more disappointed with the food. Maybe it's different in house but DO NOT get delivery. Ordered the Picasso salad (which came out fast! *thumbs up*) - tried ordering a small but it was freakin huge! Def enough for 3 people! I hate to waste food so def worth the $ (not that it's a lot) because of the size - it's more than enough to fill you up. However, I would still prefer a smaller size at least for a lunch time special - I would probably visit more often. Ordered a kiltlifter and it was ICY cold just the way a beer should be! Make it a point to come here whenever I'm in Phoenix. Definitely some of the tastiest pizza around and I've yet to have a bad pie. We don't go to Oregano's (Glendale) often but have always loved the thin crust pizza. We ordered a thin crust sausage pizza tonight, carry out. It was good but the recipe seems different. Pizza crust did not seem to be as thin as we recall. Also, the cheese blend and seasoning is clearly different. It was good, but not as good as it used to be. Where do you go to get delicious Italian food? Oregano's!! It can be hard to find good Italian food these days, but not with Oregano's nearby. There are locations across the valley and I have been to 3 of them. They are definitely worth a try. The portions are large, the Pizzookies are moist, and you feel like you are part of "the family". Ok joking aside, this is a good place to eat and it is always packed, so be prepared to wait for a table to open up. It can be a nice time eating out on the patio during winter. My sister and I came in on New Years Eve. I ordered their wings in all flats in the medium sauce and they were very delicious, so much so that we came in again on New Years Day. I wanted to order the same exact thing and immediately our server Baylee stated they were unable to do all flats. I told them I was just in yesterday and that it was no problem. When I asked my server the day prior if all flats were possible the response was "Of course!" In contrast, she said they couldn't do it and as the manager walked by asked her "We don't do all flats right?" the manger confirmed and said they couldn't because of inventory. I responded that I was just in yesterday and had all flats without any problems. She responded "We don't do that at this location." With a straight face. So I repeated I sat on the other side of this divider and ordered and ate all flats yesterday. She repeated they don't do it at this store as if I was lying or making it up? So I asked how I was able to get them yesterday and she responded "IDK but we don't do that here" and just walked away. I have worked myself as a sever for over 8 years and was appalled that no one even attempted to find a solution or accommodate us in any type of way for their lack of consistency, and on top of it, both had an aloof and dismissive demeanor. One day it's possible next day it's something they don't do. An appropriate response would have been "Let me see what we can do" or "Im not sure how they were able to do that, I apologize for the inconvenience can we treat you to a complimentary dessert?" or even "Since they did it yesterday we will honor it today but moving forward that is not something we are able to do" I won't be back, I'll be going to Spinatos and Lou Malanis moving forward. read more

We went to Oreganos for dinner last night. I like that you can check in on yelp before you arrive especially since it is too hot to wait outside for a long period of time in July. The server was very attentive and made sure our drinks were always filled. My husband and I were pretty sad though. They took off our two favorite menu items, the artichoke lasagna and Grandma G's potato pizza. We tried the Lawrence's pizza. It was good but not as good as Grandma G's. We tried the roasted chicken lasagna. It was good but the artichoke lasagna was special. I am hoping they will bring back one of the two. The pizza cookie was delicious. Ordered a thin crust numero one o and a Lawrence original. We decided to use doordash since they were offering free delivery. Took an hour and a half to finally receive our order, after having 3 people accept to pick it up and then change. I know Oregano's can't control doordash, but I would soooo recommend they stop using doordash. Anyway, back to the food, I am so so so disappointed, the cheese was cold on both pizzas and when I would take a bite, even after re-warming the pie, the ENTIRE cheese would come off of the slice with one bite. If you are an avid pizza eater, you know that is so frustrating!! The entire pizza appeared to be so dehydrated and had a "dense cheesy flatbread" type texture. I don't know why, this place is usually pretty good. The next day, I went to eat the rest of the pie, considering I spent over $70 for this meal, and to not let it go to waste, I go to grab a slice of not even 24 hour old pizza, and my finger literally went thru the middle of a slice!! I warmed up 3 slices, with about 8 left over...I didn't even finish it. We always have a blast at Oregano's! Alfredo the Dark is a fav and is great with added chicken. The chicken wings in the gold sauce are yummy. My hubby is a Chicago native and says the deep dish or stuffed pizza is the closest thing to real Chicago style pizza he's had in Az! They have TV care but it doesn't seem like it's the best reception and it is a little bit limited viewing. The staff is friendly and they the staff is friendly and they seem to be a tentative and know what they're doing. The windows were open today for the perfect breeze. My husband planned a surprise dinner for my birthday with my best friends and our 3 kids. The party was a total of 9 people. When he called to confirm the day of, he was told that the previous 2 larges parties when over and that our reservation was cancelled because a party of 15 that was behind ours would keep their time. They didn't offer to accommodate but simply told him it would a 2.5 hour wait if we decide to dine with them.
