Checked in online and specifically asked for a regular booth, up with the greeter I tell her again "as long as it is not a 2 person booth" and what does she do , sit us as a 2 people booth! Good job at listening skills for the hostess We get our food, with no silverware‍ Finally 5 minutes later, yup I timed it, she comes to check on us and we ask for silverware. We get it and as you can see from the picture the butter knife was dirty, no one was around to ask for another set or have them look at the dirty ones we got. We never got offered a refil on our iced tea; it was just a disappointing experience. The waitress was friendly but it just wasn't good service from the moment we walked in. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE service. I have never received bad service like this. First, we were told our wait time was 40 mins. It turned into an hour. Second, it took 2 hours to get our food. The cooks straight up slacked it. TWO HOURS FOR FOOD????? Since when!!!!! Our waiter Justin was amazing. He apologized for the inconvenience, which I know was not his fault. He did everything he could to make sure we got our food. I can tell he was already stressed but handled this situation very well. Well done Justin. Take out: I ordered a meatball sandwich with the "upgraded" sweet potato fries. I can honestly say this was worst meatball sandwich I have ever eaten. How do you mess that up!!!!????!!!!! The seasoning used is disgusting and overpowering in the worst way possible. The meat was mixed with an over abundance of bread crumbs. It also had a slight taste of over seasoned cardboard. The "upgraded" sweet potato fries were also horrible. They were soggy and lumped together. They must have been sitting in a pan for hours. The coleslaw was a disgrace. This was my first time at Oregano's. I have two words for this place: carbs + cheese. We started out with the kickbutt garlic bread, which was a loaf about the length of my arm and forearm combined. Adding that extra $1.00 cheese to the bread was definitely worth it. I simply couldn't resist that garlicky, buttery spread. You also have the option of dipping it with homemade marinara for an extra $.89. We also had the zany ziti pasta, which was ziti pasta with a sausage sauce intermixed with four Italian cheeses. It was deliciously cheesy. In terms of pizza, we ordered the 12" pan pizza with cheese starting at $13.99, adding Cajun chicken & Roma tomatoes for $1.99 each topping. There were 30 different toppings to choose from. The crust was thick & crispy to my liking. I definitely utilized the red pepper flakes and oregano shakes at the table. My friend also requested extra cheese added to the pasta, and was given freshly grated parmesan - always a plus. The food was amazing, but I plan to do some cardio tonight and eat a lot of fiber. It might be wise to order one of their big salads to fill you up to avoid indulging too much. On the way out, they have an abundance of peppermint candy and fortune cookies up for grabs. This place is always busy. We waited about 20 minutes around lunchtime on a Saturday before being seated. I would love to give this place four stars, but the service really needs improvement. Our server initially forgot to bring us the missing set of utensils. We had to ask for it again. While we were dining in, she did not refill our waters. I do give her credit for checking on us once in awhile, and boxing up our food. After paying with my credit card, we were about to leave when I double checked the receipt and noticed it was charged incorrectly. We were billed for the previous table's check on top of ours. I would have been paying an extra $24 for one extra pizza and drink that I did not order. I was not a happy camper. Remember to check your bill carefully. read more

We have loved Oregano's since I moved to valley. However, we placed a order for dinner to be delivered by Dash tonite ( we do this often) it took almost an hour and half before a Dasher was notified to pick our order up for delivery, and to top it off pizza was cold when it arrived. Very disappointed & will not order from Oregano's for delivery again. Update; I contacted by a Mgmt person for Oreganos. Sorry, their name has slipped my memory. They were very professional and didn't make excuses. I always told employees that; we are going to make mistakes, we can only hope the customer makes us aware of our error and gives us a chance to make it right..They did that & we will be back.... This is mine and my husband's favorite Oreganos! The employees are very engaging and an absolute pleasure to be around! We have been coming here for a couple years. We go here , usually around lunch time or before 6:00 pm, and typically have no concerns finding seating at the bar, which is a great place to be! Their dirty martinis are the best! I would also recommend "That Antipasto thing!" Everything we order has been super tasty and also huge! Today we spent some time with the manager, and all I gotta say is that we have every confidence in OUR Oreganos in whatever endeavors that may come in October we have no doubt they will come out on top and be the best! We love Oregano's and have hit a bunch of the locations - always walking away happy! The thin crust pizza is by far our favorite (Clark street), buffalo wings and sandwiches are the bomb too. Dine in or take out, service is always on point! Even on the rare occasion when we have a problem, management takes care of issues quickly and makes sure everything is done right! I absolutely LOVE this place. I've eaten pizza in Chicago, New York and a half dozen other states and Oregano's is in the top spot. People don't think about Phoenix when they think of great pizza but they should. The story behind this chain is beautiful. The manager at the Bell road location told us about it tonight. The parents of the owners had passed and while they were going through their belongings they came across recipes in the attic and designs for a restaurant dream that never came to pass. I had been to a few other Oregano's before, and was always impressed. The food is usually 4 star worthy, but the service itself has always been 5 stars. I seriously cannot remember receiving such great service at a restaurant in a long time. My wife, son, and buddy who was out here from Vegas, decided to come down to this location before we went to the Padre game. We arrived at around 11:15 and were seated right away. We placed our order for a large garden salad, an order of garlic bread, a small stuffed pizza with sausage and spinach and a small pepperoni pan pizza. Here is how everything was............ Large Garden Salad- Oregano's salads are massive! They can feed a small army. We each ate about 2 bowls full, and there were still leftovers. Our waitress brought us our own individual dressings, too! It was a pretty basic salad, but it gave us something to eat while waiting for the pizzas to cook (45 minutes or so). The Italian dressing was very good! Garlic Bread- Solid! About a 2 foot long loaf of garlic bread. It had the perfect amount of butter/oil and garlic. It tasted great! I could have ate another loaf of it! Everyone at the table thought it was great! Stuffed Pizza- I had only had Oregano's stuffed pizza once before, and it was fantastic! My buddy is a huge sausage and spinach fan, so we went with those toppings. Their stuffed pizza is a sight to see! It's cut into 6 slices and each slice is about a pound. Oregano's sausage is fantastic! The spinach they use was pretty fresh, too. It was a good combo of flavors. We each ate 2 slices and were pretty much stuffed. I took the other 2 slices home for leftovers. Pan Pizza- This was the first time I had experienced their pan pizza. It was good, but not as good as their stuffed or thin crust Chicago style. We got this one mostly for my wife, but it turns out she really didn't care for it. She didn't like the sauce (Everyone that I have talked to that doesn't like Oregano's, doesn't like the sauce.) I ate one slice and we took home about 4 slices. Reheated the next day, it tasted fine. I don't know if I would get the pan pizza again, but there was nothing wrong with it and it was pretty tasty. On to why this place gets 5 stars.......THE SERVICE! Our waitress was absolutely awesome! She was very friendly, personable and happy. She kept our drinks filled, plates cleared etc. She even mentioned that we were the most easy going table she had all day and that she appreciated our laid back attitude. Nice! Every other employee I encountered was very welcoming, too. That is 3 for 3 on different Oregano's, as far as receiving beyond excellent service. That alone will keep me coming back! We were in town on vacation and we're told by our Airbnb host to go here. And it was the best decision! Everything we had was delicious. I had the Alfredo the Dark pasta with chicken. Holy moly it was amazing. My mom and sister in law both had a special pasta but it was very yummy. My brother got a pizza and it was goooooood. Daniella, was joyous, professional, and anticipatory. It was 108 outside and the ice tea didn't stop. what an absolute joy to be served with a smile and greeted by all the staff. Went to celebrate step daughters bday 18 had 10 people. Sever alex gave us all great a++ service. Unfortunatly the pizzas were very very salty and spicy. We've waited to write a review until we had been there enough times to know how consistent the food and service is. Both are spot on. The food is amazing at this point we've been there over eight times. The most we've ever had to do is ask for a side of sauce for pasta. Then again I like very sloppy pasta. The servers are very attentive, and even when we've had a training server the trainer made sure everything was correct. Most of the serving sizes are large allowing for leftovers. Our favorites are the Mama's Mac-n-Cheese, the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich, and the Chicken Parmesan and Pasta. read more

i didn't think it was possible for Oregano's to exceed my expectations. You can see a previous review of their North Scottsdale location to know that the bar has been set pretty high (on an already high expectation-level from many years' experience...) i was somewhat hesitant to go on the debut week of the Glendale (Peoria? i think it depends on what side of the street you're on...) location, but i've been watching the progress and couldn't stand it anymore, so today was the day. note: there hasn't been a single time i've driven by since they opened on Tuesday that they haven't been packed. i had to check the time yesterday (NOT lunchtime during the week when most normal folk would be working...) when they were full to the gills. when we arrived, we were quoted an hour and 45 minute wait. Since i'm accustomed to a 45 minute wait there anyway, this seemed perfectly reasonable. and we were prepared. the waiting area is extremely comfortable: well shaded by the building and stocked with heaters above the seating area for when it gets a bit chilly. beverages were offered to those of us waiting and pizza samples were a-plenty. managers were graciously accommodating tables of 10+ and 20+ amidst the rest of us. no.one.looked.stressed. not even remotely. everyone was smiling, polite, and attentive. let me emphasize that last word: despite the fact that the restaurant was crawling with customers, the staff was still friendly and ATTENTIVE (without even blinking, i might add). The food was delicious as always. Quality did not suffer even a little bit from the other experiences i've had (although i was expecting a small slump due to logistical issues of a new restaurant and not quite having a "flow' yet). This is a location that is sure to be a huge success in years and years to come. So glad we have one that is closer than a 30-minute drive!!! :D read more

I've eaten at many different locations, Glendale, Scottsdale, Tucson, Surprise over the years. I liked their food. The pizza was good. Their Mama's rigatoni with sausage and peppers was my favorites. Their meatballs were good but not great. It's been a couple of years since my last visit to one of their locations. I'm not sure what they've done to their food, but we won't be going back. The only good thing about tonight's meal was the garlic bread. The thin crust Pizza had a very odd taste. I ate one piece and that was it. My husband also did not like it. The mama's rigatoni is no longer on the menu so I just ordered rigatoni with meat sauce and two meatballs. The meal was supposed to come with a piece of garlic bread as well. When the meal came out, there was no garlic bread and the meatballs had no sauce on them. I've never seen that before. The rigatoni was overcooked and pasty when chewed. The meat sauce had an odd flavor as well. The meatballs had no crust at all on the outside. It was almost as if they were boiled or steamed. My stepfather was 100% Italian. As such I have grown up eating Italian food and at 50 years old I've eaten Italian food all over the country. I've never had to send a pasta dish back. I've had some that may be weren't my favorites but they were edible. I called the waiter over I told him about the pasta and he sent it back. I told him I wanted regular marinara sauce instead of the meat sauce because it just tasted odd. He returned another bowl of pasta way too quickly for them to have re-made the pasta. it looked and tasted like the same sauce. This time there was garlic bread. I took one bite of the pasta and it was 100% as nasty as the first time. This time I had my husband take one noodle and taste it. He said it was disgusting. I called the waiter over and told him it was the same and sent it back and told him I did not want anything else. I've never had pasta that I could not eat. Nor have my husband and I had pizza that we really did not like and did not want to eat. I ordered my boys a deep dish pizza to take home. $65 with tip. I'm certainly hoping they like it for the price. I've never been to an oregano's where there was not a 45 minute to an hour and a half wait at dinner time especially on the weekend. We walked in at 5 o'clock on Sunday evening no wait at all. Whatever you guys have done to your food, change it back. read more

From outside the appearance of the building looks like it's starting to run down or if that's the intention. Upon entering; the place felt really hot, I couldn't tell if the A/C was broken or they were too cheap to keep the place cool for paying customers. Looking over the menu, it appeared they didn't have much to offer -- almost felt like a rushed put together menu. So I ordered The Big Beefstro Salad. The meat was tender and soft; however, for the lettuce, it's standard. I found it to be too much food, and it got boring to eat quickly. There was also flies flying around, that made me also think the way they prepare food is dirty. Since, after eating there I just felt sick. I just won't be coming back here. My visit was awesome. I went on a Saturday afternoon and immediately got seated after 15 minutes of waiting. I went with my friend and we ordered: -A glass of white wine -Frozen Bellini -Zani ziti -Alfredo's artichoke lasagna -Chocolate chip pazookie All of it was awesome. The white wine was sweet. The Bellini was strong and sweet. It was really delicious! The lasagna was bomb! I was nervous about trying a white lasagna but I was very satisfied because I prefer white sauce pastas anyways. The part that made me most nervous was the artichokes. It was a good compliment. It gave it a tart flavor. The pasta wasn't mushy. It was al denté! Yay! The pazookie was magical. I'm pretty sure I had an outer body experience. The price was extremely reasonable for the quality of food that we had. We paid approximately $45 for all of that food. The are a few things I would suggest. Tidy up the bathrooms because they weren't clean. The layout of the restaurant is awkward. Why is the bar so small? Why is there a spot at the bar where you stare at the wall? That's no fun! It's small in this restaurant too. Overall I think I'd come back. I like the food. :) EL FIN! read more

Oreganos has definitely stepped their game up the past couple years. My first experience was probably 4-5 years ago and wasn't impressed. Our dining was at Oregano's during the Covid-19 period on a Friday night. Our wait was a little excessive over an hour but we understood the precautions that the restaurant was taking. We ordered appetizers for four which included garlic cheese bread, antipasto salad and sweet honey wings. All our appetizers were very good, would have liked bigger pieces of Italian meats and cheese. Everything was cut up in smaller pieces than are we accustomed to but still very good. We ordered a 18" combo pizza which was very good also. Our waiter was extra attentive and very polite. The bill was just under $100. and for four people that was a good value. Left a 25% tip because thought the waiter earned it for upbeat attitude, always smiling and for making us feel very comfortable during our dining. read more

We took two friends who had never been to Oregano's and they were impressed. They were especially impressed with the unique decor. We ordered and ask to have the salad before the pizza to have time to visit and enjoy the salad that did not happen. So after some pizza I asked for more salad dressing to have more salad as there was a lot of it left.. never returned with extra dressing but someone else brought the check and I told her about the dressing but it was like no big deal.. we come hear often and was disappointed this trip.
