Friends, Oregano's on Camelback is a neighborhood favorite!!! The food is always fresh, hot, and fast!! The service is great here, ambiance is lively with old-school jazz music playing overhead!!! I like coming here because the food is always on point and just tastes good. Give it a go friends, you won't be disappointed. Grade: A

Disappointed. I was excited to try Oregano's, I loved the back story, the location was close & the decor looked nice. The waitress recommended the Shrimp Caprese but with Chicken. The food was dry and not very flavorful, I asked for more sauce (garlic butter) but it didn't really help. The garlic bread was delicious though. My bill for this and a glass of water was almost $20. I don't mind paying more for great food, but this was not great. The place was empty, even for 6:00 pm on a Tuesday night, so I'm not the only one that feels this way!

Came here for a team work lunch and it was great. The food was delicious with large portions for the prices they offer. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the place is just cozy. They have some parking spaces on the side and some in the back so parking may depend on how packed they get. They have both indoor and outdoor dining. Love their selection of pastas and they also offer pizza and sandwiches. I really enjoyed the ziti and their garlic bread is great. You really can't go wrong with Oregano's especially the pazookie for dessert so make sure and leave room!

Came to eat some lunch with some friends. The service was honestly not that great. The restaurant was really empty and it felt like it was really hard to get anyone's attention to order, pay, and get refills. Whenever the waitress would come, it felt like she was in a rush to leave only to stand around and chat with coworkers. It was quiet inside the restaurant which was nice. The food was okay. My pasta was cold in some areas, but my friend enjoyed her sandwich. Lastly, I didn't like that the restroom only has one stall, I wanted to wash my hands before eating but the restroom was busy.

Worst pizza I've had in years and that includes dominos lol. Ingredients were piled on a under sauced and under cheesed pizza and I've never in my life heard of a Chicago pizza with the cheese underneath all of the ingredients unless it's a deep dish and this was a thin crust. All of the ingredients were barely cooked as you could tell by the photo way too many mushrooms as well not that that's a bad thing but they weren't cooked so it wasn't good. Proceeded to call the place and got the worst experience ever by some teenage idiot that proceeded to answer the phone and say the name of the establishment and ask how they could help me while they proceeded to talk to someone else in the background for quite some time before getting back to me, overall a very crappy experience I will not be returning to this establishment ever again. I am highly disappointed I gave them two stars because the manager was actually very helpful. His name was Bill the sad part about it is this used to be really decent pizza apparently 2 1/2 years ago they started putting the ingredients on top of the cheese as I've experienced when ordering a slice from them they do this, but they never did it to the whole pizza that's why I stopped ordering slices with ingredients when you pick your pizza up all of the ingredients should not fall off onto your freaking plate. do better Oregano's or face going out of business.UPDATE: I live 1/2 of a mile from the establishment four days ago. Bill told me he was mailing me a gift card that day I know for a fact, it does not take this many days to receive mail from three blocks away in central Phoenix that being said if this changes I will update the review again and to the response of the owner not looking for new locations. I'm just looking for Chicago style pizza, which never has a thin crust with ingredients on top of the cheese. It was merely that simple you guys used to do it right you no longer do and yes, I will also agree that your salads are wonderful

This was my first time here and wasn't sure what to expect but let me tell you! I will be coming back!!! First, I was hesitant because of the parking but quickly realized there was additional parking so that relieved me. Next, when we walked in, I immediately smelled delicious aromas which made me even more hungry. The host was so friendly and asked where we wanted to sit and once seated & handed us menus, he let us know our waiter would be with us shortly. Our waiter arrived with a smile and introduced himself as Neal. The names of the dishes on the menu are clever!!! I was giggling at the names and the creativity. I did order the Zani Ziti and when it got to the table!?!! DROOL!!!! And then Neal asked if I would like Parmesan cheese, so I said sure, thinking he was gonna sprinkle powder on my pasta. ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! FRESH SHREDDED CHEESE!!! If you haven't been here before, please visit!!! I will be returning!!!

There was a dead fly in our salad and we informed one of the waitresses. She advised us that she would tell our server who we had not seen in a while. We see him seat a few tables and then make a few beverages and then he came over and very nonchalantly say, "I hear there was a bug in your food?" We have him take all the food and he comes back about 15mins later with the check. For it to be lunch time, it was not busy at all in the restaurant. Nor did the manager ever come over to address the situation. Instead, as we are leaving, he says, "thanks everybody, come again" never again! 0/10

Good food. Slow and inattentive service. Our server Brandon was slow, didn't know the menu names and failed to confirm the actual prices on the menu. No tip for your poor service.

Can I make a reservation in advance or is there no reservations?

Hi and thanks for your question. Oregano's does not take reservations, however, if you use the Yelp Waitlist, you can add your party to it with a quoted time. Hope that helps! Look forward to seeing you.

I am looking to use Oregano's for wedding catering. Is there an option to have someone stay and manage the buffet, like switching out empty trays and taking care of trash?

We had a group of 14 celebrating our twins graduating high school, with family flying in from out of state, including relatives who are deeply Sicilian, where food is love, tradition, connection, and family. Finding authentic Italian food with a luxurious atmosphere that still felt warm and welcoming was incredibly important to us, and this place exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the energy was beautiful -- elegant without being stuffy, lively without feeling overwhelming. The handcrafted Italian dishes, warm ambiance, and live music created the perfect setting for such a meaningful family celebration. But what truly made the evening unforgettable was the service. Carmen, our server, was absolutely phenomenal. I can honestly say I have never experienced better service or attentiveness anywhere. She anticipated every need before we even had to ask, yet somehow still made the experience feel relaxed, personal, and genuine. Her personality completely elevated the evening -- warm, engaging, joyful, and effortlessly professional. She made all 14 of us feel special. Jaden, our busser, was equally outstanding. Waters were constantly filled, plates cleared immediately, food packed carefully to go, and everything stayed flowing perfectly the entire night. The teamwork between them was seamless. What meant the most to me personally was how comfortable my son with autism felt there. The atmosphere, energy, and kindness of the staff made him completely at ease, and he truly enjoyed himself. That alone makes this restaurant unforgettable to our family. In Italian families, meals become memories, and last night gave us one we'll talk about for years. Thank you for helping us celebrate such an important milestone with love, warmth, incredible food, and exceptional hospitality.

The kitchen is usually the highlight. With an Italian chef behind it, everything leans fresh and well executed--pizzas consistently shine, and the salads are just as strong. This time, though, the bolognese was a miss. The pasta was clearly overcooked, which stood out given how reliable the food typically is--felt more like an off night than the norm. On the way out, after mentioning to the bartender how good the oil was, I was gifted a couple of condiment cuplets to-go, which was a thoughtful and nice touch and sort of made up for the server who wasn't particularly warm or informative as I had to ask about the specials and whether or not all the pasta is freshly made, etc. Heck, if you have a great selling point like homemade pasta, talk it up and get us to drooling! There is a variety of seating available, including outside and at the bar--bar has an inside section as well as outside which is a nice design for the lovely weather days. However, it's unfortunate that the outdoor seating is on such a busy traffic corner, so it's not the little retreat it would otherwise be. The lunchtime music was more like happy hour music, not conducive to conversation--maybe for the cellphones-at-the -table crowd it's okay, but being near the Phoenix Art Museum and Arizona Opera, why not add to the cultural experience of the area by celebrating its Italian origins with some Italian music? Even if just added as interludes during every few pieces, it would enhance the ambiance. We had to raise our voices to carry on our conversation, but it was manageable. However, when I came back the next week with a friend with a hearing impairment, it became more problematic. She tried adjusting her hearing aids, but the thumping rhythm kept taking precedence as we tried to find a quieter corner, but it wasn't possible as it is a small space and speakers were close to each table. I felt so bad that she couldn't enjoy a meal there--we both were so looking forward to having a fresh pasta dish, but just couldn't stay. Upon leaving, I felt I should let management know why so I waited to speak to him, offering constructive criticism about the sound level but he was not the least apologetic nor said he would take it under advisement, but was completely dismissive and harrumphy as though we were annoying problems and not potential regulars with suggestions worthy of consideration. How hard would it be to have a quieter area or make a speaker accessible with volume control? People, whether on the spectrum, with hearing impairments, or just lovers of good conversation deserve respect and when it is not given, will go elsewhere....
