We are very pleased with the services provided by Oren. It is a business that put the customer first, and it shows. We hired them in January to clean up our dryer exhaust. Mike took the necessary time to walk around the house and locate the exhaust as well as making sure there was no disconnected parts from the dryer to the outside wall. This August, our dryer started having difficulties, so we checked back with Oren to double check whether the warranty had elapsed yet. Even though the 6-month warranty was past already, the owner of the business offered to come over at no charge in order to fix our problem, which he did quite fast. I think that anyone who has worked with this business (i.e., actually engaged them to do a repair and make a change to their home, not just gotten an estimate) knows that these guys are the best. I own multiple properties in the bay area and always, always, always have trouble finding people to do good work. I'm happy to report that I have a good person to work on HVAC issues. Here's what happened with us: we smelled a rat - literally - coming from our duct work. The problem worsened until we could not bear it any longer. This was on a Saturday night (good times). I proceeded to call the five top rated Oakland HVAC servicers on Yelp. Oren's was one of them. I expected, at best, to get calls back on Monday, and that we'd have to live with the stench for the better part of a week. Not so. Oren's called me back at 9 pm, responding to the sense of urgency in my voicemail. They sent a guy out THE NEXT DAY, on a Sunday, at 9:00 am. This is unheard of in my experience. Ben came out the next day - he and his partner went on a vermin assassination mission and found several rats that had camped out inside one of our heating ducts. He also replaced a bunch of the ductwork, did a massive overhaul and cleaning of the furnace and all vents, and basically cleaned up my basement and crawl space. And for about half of what I was quoted by the other providers. You are crazy if you don't hire these guys. Give them a call. read more

Excellent professional service! Our old house's attic has been a wonderland for rodents for years. We hired Oren's Services to clean the attic. Technician (David) was very friendly and knowledgeable. After inspection, he explained the situation and recommended the treatment options. He vacuumed the attic, sprayed with indoor fogger, and sealed the three holes he found. He was extremely careful of our house when he brought his equipment in, and also cleaned the scene/floor after his work. We are very impressed about his service. After two failed tries with a different dryer vent cleaning company, I ended up calling Oren after having found one of his business cards at my door. I was up against a tight deadline to get my dryer vents cleaned per my HOA's requirements, and Oren and his secretary were so pleasant and easy to work with! I called to set up an appointment, left a message, and received a phone call back within the hour. I was able to set up an appointment for the next morning. Not only did the secretary confirm the appointment with me twice on the phone, but she also told me I'd be receiving a confirmation email as well (having my appointment confirmed was part of my previous failed attempted with the other vent cleaning company). The company uses a service called HouseCall, which will confirm your appointment via email confirmation, and tell you when the technician is on the way to your house. The day of the appointment, I received a text letting me know that Oren was on his way! The entire vent cleaning process took about 20 minutes to complete, but it was the most stress free 20 minutes of my morning. Oren arrived promptly at the appointed time, did his thing, showed me what exactly he was cleaning out of my dryer vents, packed up and headed out! I just had the BEST experience with Oren's Services. After contacting Oren, I had a free consultation 2 days later. And then a few days later, the guys came out and installed heating. It was a smaller job. I just needed a duct added to the HVAC system for heating in a 500 sq room downstairs that was an addition to the house. It was important to my husband and me that we had the duct in a place that would be out of the way in the basement and for the vent to be somewhere clean/less visible. These guys are the best. They came to clean my air ducts and discovered that my suspicions were right - half the ducts in my house were in bad shape. Worse than I thought - some were not even connected. I hope the spiders in my attic loved the warm air in the winter. They rearranged their scheduled due to this emergency situation and came back the next day to replace the ducts. They finished the cleaning. These guys are very respectful, nice and thorough. Here are the highlights: 1) Appointment was easy to schedule and I received a text when Oren and his team were en route. 2) They arrived on time and were extremely courteous and professional. 3) Our ducts are now super clean (loved that they used a brush and cleaning solution, not just vacuum) and our whole family is breathing easier as a result. It's fairly rare to be able to schedule service appointments on Sundays - so it was a bonus to have Oren and his team show up over the weekend. Upon arrival, Oren thoroughly explained the scope of work. In particular, we appreciated that he did not try to oversell his services. In fact, he offered up a lower cost option on one particular service that he felt would still produce a great end result. We opted for a furnace check, air duct cleaning, and a dryer vent cleanout.
