I went here around 3pm to have a late lunch. I ordered sesame shrimp and was told to sit down and my food would be right out. I was the only person in the restaurant. I waited for 35 minutes before I realized they had not cooked my food. I went and asked if they had forgotten to cook my food. They offered no explanation as to what had happened. I asked for a refund which they appeared to be doing, but offered no apology. They were also cutting vegetables on a table where patrons sit to eat. read more

I'm having a huge love hate relationship with this place.. I love the price but the stomach ache hates me in the end.. :-( I've gone two times the first time to order sweet and sour pork., oh man what do they do to the pork? It's breaded way too much for me that I feel like a Wendy's commercial of where's the beef? The breaded parts are just way too much for me! The wonton soup is just plain wontons in chicken broth. I'm ok with it but wonder if that is making me sick? As I've ordered that twice? Hmmm.. At any rate went there for the second time to grab the food to go back to the office. This time beef teriyaki noodle bowl. The noodles seem to be cooked well and the broccoli was steamed, but again I wondered where the beef? As it seemed not a lot of beef to the meal. Again I ordered the wonton soup and was sick again but not as bad as my first time! I'd love to try something else again but hope my stomach can mind it! I think that for a small little place this place has a pretty extended menu. I've only been once so far and had the pork grill salad. It isn't New Saigon, but it was pretty tasty. The meat was a little salty, but other than that it was pretty good. I think I'll have to stop by and try it again the next time I'm down there. read more

This review is long overdue by almost 5 years... I feel so ashamed since it's one of my favourite Chinese places in Denver. Food is always consistently delicious and the owner is ultra friendly (get used to her greeting you with a "Hey Honey!) :) Recently had the spicy combo fried rice (YUM!!!) and vegetable eggrolls (always crispy). Definitely recommend the Cantonese Pan Fried Noodles w/ seafood and I swear they make the best Vietnamese eggrolls at this Chinese restaurant. General american/chinese fare - Sesame chicken, lo mein, fried dumplings are all yummy. I really like the grilled wraps wrapped in rice paper which are huge and they definitely don't skimp on the meat in these either. So worth the drive since I moved so far away from them... read more

This is the worst. I ordered lemon chicken before today and it was ok but not great. I tried to get noodles today as chow mein is supposed to be noodles. I got a big pile of sprouts onion and chicken in watery sauce. No flavor just salt. This is terrible. I love noodles and that's all I wanted. 12$ down the shit hole. I won't ever go back here. First time using the Yelp add to order delivery. Last time using it here. I ordered my food extra spicy and paid the upgrade for fried rice. What came was bland, and flavorless. And the "fried rice" came as white rice with soy sauce tossed in. One container for two meals. No bits of egg or veggies, nothing. When the driver came to the door he told me I had to tip cash even though I used my credit card. I said I thought I could just tip on the card. He seemed pissed, and said I couldn't. I asked my 15 year old for a few bucks and she grabbed her backpack. It took about 15 seconds. He started snapping his fingers and when I gave him $3 on my $23 meal he looked like I had insulted his mother. Get a new driver, and maybe follow the directions on how I wanted my meal. Until then I won't be back. Shame because my kid goes there with her friends all the time. Not anymore. read more

The food was OK but I don't understand all these people that say how friendly the staff is. We have only gotten take out once and the ladies behind the counter were nothing but rude. In fact, even though we were there at 7:00 (well before closing time), they acted like we were bothering them by coming into pay for and pick-up our food. It's not like the place was busy. I hate to be that person but here it goes. I ordered OC from Yelp (through grubhub) and when the delivery driver arrived to the address he started verbally harassing me for a cash tip. I was apologetic as I do not have any cash with me and that I could tip him online through grub hub. He did not understand as he kept yelling at me for a cash tip. He got back in his car cursing at me in a foreign language, then got out again and physically chased me. Luckily I got behind a locking gate and he kept yelling at me to tip him cash. At this point I am obviously not going to tip you if you're yelling at me and chasing me. In the end I got my food, then called the manager. She was sweet and apologized as she knows the driver does not speak good english. The food I ordered is yummy (fried rice, edimame, and egg drop soup) but it was not worth the altercation. People around me were worried for me and my safety. Please just eat the food in the restaurant to avoid this issue. read more

Tried this for the first time tonight as a pick up order. Had four different entrees, paid extra for fried rice, sweet & sour soup and veggie egg rolls. I wanted to love it, but the food was tasteless. No spice or flavor to it at all. Even the "spicy" dishes. Fried rice was the oddest thing I've seen. Texture was like broken up rice (weird), no veggies, very little egg, and there was absolutely no flavor of soy or really anything else. We received one incorrect entree. Not sure what it was that we got. Not worth going back to get it fixed. Hate to say it, but unfortunately PF Changs still has more flavor. I'm continuing the search for a decent Asian restaurant in the area. I was greatly disappointed. read more

We have been eating at Oriental Cafe for 15 years. When I call in my order, I say 'Hi, Sandy' and she replies '10 minutes, Ricki!' Obviously, we are regulars. My favorite dish is the Pork Lo Mein - I always ask for it extra spicy. The combo fried rice is tasty, full of delicious meats. Heats up well for lunch the next day, too. The Sizzling Rice Soup is chock full of tender chicken, carrots, bok choy, zucchini, mushrooms and rice, with a few plump shrimp in for good measure. I like the Wonton Soup, too - yummy broth and big, meaty wontons. So good! read more

We order out from here occasionally and the delivery is always quick and the food is always fresh and hot. The portions are large and everything is almost always excellent. We have had a few items that were not to our liking but overall it is great. We have five people in the family, 2 of us that eat a lot and we generally order 3 meals since the portions are large enough that we have plenty with just 3 entrees. The price is also just right and we generally spend around $30 bucks when delivered. I would say it is not the best asian food (4 out of 5 on the food), but it is very good and they do have speedy delivery. read more

Good place in the area for above average Chinese. We've had the hot & sour soup, sesame chicken, kung pao shrimp, and the appetizers which come with the family dinner. You just order at the counter & then they bring the food out fairly quick, yet fresh. I will say their hot & sour soup is missing some ingredients normally found in it at other places. It still has good flavor though. This food is much better than Little Holly's about a mile away. The family dinner is a good value with the variety and portions you get. Sadly today was the last time I'll be ordering from them. We have been going to them weekly for almost 20 years for work (at least 10 orders weekly). We always loved Max (the delivery guy) and the egg rolls were out of this world and their food was really good and great proportions - well, I guess time changes all...we have dealt with the changes in their cook staff - we have dealt with what seem like frozen boxed egg rolls, and their tasteless lunches - I have dealt with the rude person taking my orders and the extremely rude delivery person now. I placed my order today, typically we order Thursdays, apparently that threw them off. After placing my order, she told me she'd call me back with the total (weird, I never had to wait before, but...OK) - reminder, I've been ordering almost weekly for almost 20 years...almost an hour later, I call her, she had the wrong number and told me the delivery guy just left and she would call him and tell him to come back. The security guard (who never orders with us) knew to come find me and he's been here less than a year. Anyway, I paid the amount, and he counted it and slammed it down on the counter and told me to count it, which I did. There was the amount and a tip. I guess it wasn't good enough because he basically excused me and shooed me away, mumbling something I didn't understand as he stormed for the door. In todays day and age, it's really a shame they changed for the worst, I wouldn't think small businesses would treat people in a way that made them feel the way they made us feel today...it used to be a place we felt was like family. read more
