I do like that the food was hot. They packaged it tightly, stapled the food containers and added a bag to maintain the hot food hot. I also like their sweet and sour sauce and the cream cheese Rangoon. Spring rolls are tasty too. What did not like was: Disappointed on the quality of their orange pealed chicken and vegetable fried rice. The chicken was long thick and very little chicken most of it was the fried breading surrounding the chicken. Also most of the chicken was over fried inside so that was also disappointed. The vegetable fried rice had minimal signs of egg almost none at all. The only thing I liked was the cream cheese wantons, they are labeled as crab Rangoon but I saw no crab in it bc they were highly over filled with cream cheese which I had to remove half of it bc it was saturated. I can honestly say it would be quite a while before I decide to give it bother try. Not everyone is a fan of this place, but we really love it. The almond boneless chicken is our favorite. The gravy it comes with is thick and delicious! Try the egg rolls or the rangoons, too! I have never written a poor restaurant review before, however, this food was so bad I felt it was the right thing to do. It is pretty bad when you stop at a dumpster and throw your meal away before you even get it home. I took a few bites of it while siting in the parking lot and my husband and I thought both our dishes wer very bland. There was just no flavor. My dish did not taste right or smell right. We thought we would finish the meals at home. About 1/2 way home we could not stand the smell of my meal. It was bad. The dish had both shrimp and scallops in it and I am not sure if they were not fresh or the sauce was burnt or overcooked, but the smell was horrible. We found a dumpster and threw it out before getting home. I could not imagine eating it. This place is delicious and the portions are huge. I had sweet and sour chicken and I ate it for 3 meals plus shared some. I also ordered kung pao chicken spicy for carryout and it was enough for my husband and older kids for 2 meals. Dine in service was very quick. I have heard that family in town really likes this place. We were hungry and coming thru town. I really just wanted some wonton soup and potstickers. The wonton soup was too salty and served with soda crackers. Dumplings were good and cooked as expected. My husband had chicken fried rice. He really enjoyed their mix of duck sauce on his rice. Maybe this good Chinese food by Tecumseh standards, I don't know, but the won ton soup left much to be desired, and the crackers are baffling. read more

This experience was absolutely stunning in an area where you least expected a gem of Asian cuisine. Oriental Sizzling brought the farm fresh quality ingredients I expect from Lenawee County and fused them into their authentic dishes. I ordered the General Tso chicken. My order was ready in 15 minutes, and when I opened the take-out box, I received a gracious amount of food. The exterior of the place may turn a few away, but once you step inside, you've been transported to a clean and peaceful interior. The servers were polite; I had read previous reviews of servers being rude, but this was not my experience. Oriental Sizzling is definitely a hole-in-the-wall restaurant I will continue to eat at and bring friends and family to. Plus, the prices were half of what I typically pay for this quality and quantity of food. I only wish I had tried this place sooner. read more

Close to the worst Chinese we have ever had. But that honor would go to a Chinese restaurant in Dundee by the Goodwill. Cashier said the kung pao was very spicy. It was the opposite of spicy. Very bland. The egg roll filling was mushy, the wrapper crispy. The almond chicken had very little flavor and a smattering of almonds for almond flavor. The sauce tasted like a basic chicken gravy. I'm beginning to think that Lenawee County is afraid of flavor. Been really wanting Chinese Food since COVID. Typically we get Flower Drum in Toledo so we have been craving it since March. We decided to try Oriental Sizzling and we got an order of Chicken Egg Foo Young, Hunan Chicken and Egg Drop Soup and it was delicious! Very large portions, quick service, hot, we were very pleased! I was so happy to get a spicy tasty Chinese dinner in Tecumseh. The mao pao tofu was absolutely delicious. If you are not familiar with this dish I recommend it here. Keep in mind the tofu in this dish will be soft and not fried.We had a large order with one mistake -they made a curry chicken fried rice instead of shrimp. The first time I went here the food was good but the server was rude. Decided to give it a second try, I will never be back. Terrible, rude server, food was lacking flavor. No refills, server wandered off while we were ordering, set my husbands food across the table from him, snapped at us several times as we asked for a different sauce. Prices were different on the bill than on the menu. When we asked the cashier about it she was rude as well, telling us that those were the carry out prices, did not change price to what the menu showed. I will never be back. Wow! Had this for the first time today. I was really, really good. Have lived in Tecumseh for about 6 mo. now and wasn't too sure about this place. When I went in to pick up our order it was very clean and simple. Staff was prompt and helpful. My husband and I were very pleasantly surprised. Very flavorful but not overly salty or sweet. Tonight, however--no. I ordered the Beef w/Chili Sauce and it tasted all right, but since then I've made multiple trips to the men's room, something I never experienced with this restaurant. Chinese food--and this dish more so than many--is very flavorful so I can understand why nothing alerted me in the taste, but regardless, I will be disposing the remainder of my dish (it's all carryout and has been for quite awhile) and hope management reads this and considers what may have gone wrong in the food handling process. read more

Unlike some reviewers I thought the terse service and rough handling of the food was skillful and considerate of our time. He bagged up left overs I was fumbling with in the blink of an eye, with no mess. The food was all at least as good or better than I'd usually expect. Prices were fine. Everyone seemed polite. They had good fried wontons. How can you go wrong right? But... I really want to find a place in the area that fries wontons filled with cream cheese & green onions. That would have made my day. I wouldn't call the service amazing by any means, they're very quick and want your answers immediately, but this is it with any somewhat authentic Asian restaurant. The food came quick and and in courses: soup, egg rolls, entree. Some places I've been to lately have brought it all once, I hate that. While the food was actually really good, my only complaint is there was too much of it. Human (American) mindset: eat what's in front of you. After enjoying and reviewing Oriental Sizzling (Dundee), I saw the same named restaurant in Tecumseh. Entering at 12:45 on a Friday, few tables remained vacant. A good sign, I thought. An unfriendly server took our order, returned a few minutes later with our soups and a large dinner plate. He literally tossed the plate onto the end of our table, where it came to a halt a few inches from where it landed. The soup excelled, though a package of cracked saltines with each order somehow rang odd in my mind. When the server brought our entrees, he pointed at the skidded plate and said "You plate!" OK...let's tuck in.The Mongolian Chicken had a nice onion blend, though the tenderized sliced breast meat a bit sweet for my taste. The large portions necessitated boxes. The server literally dumped the rice in one of the boxes and walked off. Average Chinese American, off point flavors, and strangely odd service. A great little hole in the wall restaurant. Jim is the only waiter so is usually very busy and fast with service. Food is fantastic and very reasonably priced. Almost impossible to eat all that they give you. We always take enough home for lunch the next day. When we want good Chinese food we drive the 50 miles to eat here. read more
