I ordered Chicken Yakisoba. It was just okay. There wasn't very much chicken; I counted 18 pieces the size of a half-marble. I found the teriyaki sauce too sweet. I'm willing to try this place again and I'll get the Teriyaki Chicken so I'll get more chicken. I'll add some soy sauce to the teriyaki sauce so it's not as sweet. read more

Not much to look at from the outside (or the inside if I'm being honest) but the food was very good & 3 meat combo portion was generous! Don't love the side slaw that comes with it, we prefer the traditional creamy dressing that most teriyaki joints use for their salads- this was like a vinaigrette and just made for dry boring raw cabbage. Enjoyed the egg rolls but not the potstickers- they seemed like they'd been sitting already cooked all day under a heat lamp. Seemed pretty busy, a lot of take out orders. Food is served in a to go box whether you dine in or out which is interesting but completely fine and pretty convenient for both parties. read more

This was my first time back to Original J's in many years, but found the same good flavor I remember, and still at economical pricing. They were still super busy at 8:15 PM, obviously a sign of their success. We ordered the Yakisoba Chicken and the three-meat Teriyaki (beef, pork,chicken). The teriyaki sauce was delicious; the rice was moist, tender, and hot; the three meats a little over-cooked but with a bbq bark all over...(see the pics). They're still holding their pricing thru the last couple years--a sign of success. It's probably wise to order ahead, the lines are long -- a sign of success... Good job! read more

Original J's is a great local teriyaki shop, it's always been really fresh and tasty when we gotten it. The staff is friendly and they get the food out quickly. I usually get half teriyaki beef and half chicken, both are perfectly tender and grilled. My husband likes the half teriyaki chicken and half chicken katsu, super crispy! I also like their hot teriyaki sauce, it adds the perfect amount of kick. They cook their rice just right, this meal always hits the spot and doesn't leave you feeling bogged down or greasy. read more

In town from Spokane and in my town the teriyaki is crap. I like this place. Customer service was great. Sauce is good. And id come back again when in town. I love Seattle teriyaki thats a 10. This is a 7.5. Chicken portion is not as much as hoped and needs more char on it. Sauce is great. read more

We visited Original J's Teriyaki because we weren't very hungry and wanted something cheap to eat for dinner. We ordered 2 of their chicken plates. They cooked it as soon as I ordered it. Both chicken plate had an ample amount of chicken. The chicken was a little dry. Their teriyaki sauce was okay. It's like a Flame Broiler or Waba Grill in California. This is one of our favorite places to order ahead of time and pick up on the way home. They have daily specials and great service. The space is small and there is space for dine in, but since the pandemic- it's just easier for carryout, and these guys have it down. They always pack sauce, utensils and napkins. We like to order a combo plate and a side of egg rolls. The plates are packed and the servings are generous, so it is definitely enough for two to share. Recommend it for convenience and service. read more

Ordered yakisoba and got teriyaki, so that's a bit about service. I travel for work and find the yakisoba in each town. Today is no different and was stuck with what I got. I called from the road but the phone was busy all three times, so I didn't go back to get them to fix it. So the wrong meal. This is a review on that teriyaki. Dry chicken and even worse rice. The rice seemed double cooked with no moisture at all. (It was supposed to be a bed of rice, not like a fried rice) Ambiance - N/A because I took it to go. I should have stood there at the counter to be sure they got it right. I even said "chicken yakisoba, right?" when I got my order and she paused. I should have known then... but anyway, awful teriyaki. And the Cole slaw sauce wasn't Japanese at all - if I had to guess, I'd guess it was Kraft from the grocery store. And very watery. I skipped breakfast and didn't finish this order. read more

Oh Wenatchee why is it so hard for you to get even basic food right? I got the chicken katsu (fried chicken) and it came with the thinnest slices of chicken. It was more breading than chicken. When I get teriyaki, I expect to be FULL. Im only 5'10 160lbs and this meal didnt even fill me up. Also the teriyaki sauce, what kind of sauce is this? Its really thin and salty, i have no idea what they are using to make it. Very disappointed, price does not justify the food read more

Ordered chicken Yakisoba, noodles were very bland and far from the traditional asian dish. I would describe it more like mushy pasta noodles with steamed vegetables. I only give this review three stars because at-least the Teriyaki is usually always up to par. read more

I really wanted to like this restaurant because of the good reviews. However I'm from the West side of the state and I have that to compare to. This was just OK in my opinion. Where I used to go in Woodinville if you dined in, they gave you plates and real forks. But even though we dined in this place gives you plastic forks and to go containers. The food was just so so. If you're ever in Woodinville, try Minami Teriyaki. Plus Minami gives you real salad with delicious dressing and offer a free bowl of soup while you wait. read more

The side order of veggies was overcooked and soggy but the actual teriyaki was delicious. The teriyaki is served with a cabbage salad which I loved! Price is very affordable.
