I got a boba tea which was pretty average 7.5/10, and the chicken Gyoza was okay 6/10. My boyfriend and I shared the Godzilla Roll and Tiger Roll, both were very solid and the rolls were pretty big 8.5/10. Never fails to satisfy. Always get the same thing really. Two Alaska rolls. Fantastic roll. Dragon Roll. Two miso soup. And two orders of pork gyoza. Very good sushi in an unexpected spot in downtown Wenatchee. We were a big party and they actually gave us our dinner in a sushi boat which was fun! We enjoyed all the sushi but what was a surprising highlight was the lightly fried squares on soft tofu. It was like eating a marshmallow. So good. Another highlight: good pours on the wine! Last Wednesday night we reserved a family table for ten at "Iwa" in downtown Wenatchee. Iwa has been the premier Sushi Spot since opening in 2009. The high ratings are not only due to the quality of food and service--insiders know how highly the community regards "Lin", the owner. Ok, nonetheless, we arrived at 7:30pm and were the last to leave just after 9:00. Our group managed to order a cross section of most everything on the menu, including several unique cold Saki's. I love sushi and enjoy the most challenging raw options available, including Uni, oysters, and fish roe. But tonight I ordered seafood noodle soup and vegetable tempura (no, I'm not vegan)--see the pics. The tempura was hot and crisp, obviously right out of the hot oil fryer...oh my gawd, it was delicious. It balanced the deep flavor the broth (with salt and pepper added), of course. Iwa recently took over the space next to it and is twice the size of the original restaurant--how many restaurants can say that, post pandemic?!?! Okay, I admit to ordering raw Yellowtail Sashimi and Tobi-Tama (Flying Fish Roe with a raw quail egg on top)...gotta show the light-weights that grandpa can handle it! Ha. This was our first night back after living in Seattle for several years, and you can tell by the photos, we had a blast. Have heard high praise about this place, so i was eager to try it out. I wasn't impressed. The service was OK. I ordered my usual at a sushi place, including extra wasabi and ginger. When my meal came, i had to ask for it again. But the servers were friendly enough. The place was clean and quiet, despite a larger party being in the house. I ordered salmon sushi, miso soup, and salmon rolls. I felt the soup was mediocre at best. The nori on the rolls was soft with crispness to it, no snap. The salmon sushi was ok, but there seemed very little contrast to me between the fish and the rice. I would say that i am in no hurry to return. read more

On a late night drive from the Westside to Chelan it can be challenging to find good food that you can order to go. So we were glad to have stumbled upon someone else's yelp review that recommended this place. We ordered just before close of business and shocker......they didn't say "We're about to close in 15 minutes", they took our order and we're happy to provide us with our food. Sure it's eel but it's cooked and most people can handle it. BIG Roll too so easy to share. *Super Dragon Roll $14 is shrimp tempura and again, easy for everyone to enjoy. Big ROLL and pretty too Ordered a bottle of sake and a roll that did not make it to the table. The food is solid, the best in town. Color me surprised! Good sushi in Wenatchee of all places, never saw that one coming. My mom and I both are huge sushi fans and recently passing through on the way to Lake Chelan. I read the reviews here and checked out the web site and was really impressed. The location is right downtown on the main drag, Wenatchee Ave. There is plenty of street parking most days, weekends can be busy. The inside is very nice and well decorated. The sushi bar has a good amount of seats and a nice LCD TV behind it to watch while eating. The chefs are Japanese and friendly. Overall a great setting. On comes the sushi! We tried the Cascade Roll, Wenatchee Roll, Pearl Roll, and one other I can't remember. All of them were excellent, with my favorite being the Cascade roll. The chefs offered a free small starter of tuna sashimi which was excellent. The service was very attentive and friendly. We asked for a Sake recommendation and the bottle selected was amazing. The prices are on par for Seattle, but I don't mind paying it whatsoever. We will absolutely be back! read more
