was honestly shocked by my experience at The Original Pancake House. The first time I came, the place was almost empty, which should've been a sign. The staff spends most of their time in the back on their phones instead of paying attention to customers. Service was slow, unprofessional, and not friendly at all. What really bothered me were the hygiene issues. I saw staff handling cash and then touching food without washing their hands, which is unacceptable. The restaurant itself didn't feel clean, and for a place that's rarely packed, there's no excuse for it to look that way. Unfortunately the food didn't make up for it either -- it was disappointing and nowhere near what you'd expect from a place with this name and reputation. Overall, dirty restaurant, poor service, and bad food. Definitely not coming back. read more

I'll start out by saying my omelet, pancakes and coffee were excellent but more importantly was the service. My server was JOSH. He did everything professionally and timely. When presented my bill I discovered I had left my money and cards at home and luckily I had a $20. bill in my phone case. Bad news the bill was $22.03. Without hesitation or any attitude whatsoever, JOSH not only offered to pay the difference but didn't want me to return from home to repay. I'm 78 and it's been a long time since I encountered such a genuine gentleman. Upon returning to my car I remembered I had my lunch box and in it I found another $20. bill I had stashed in it because I DO forget stuff at 78. I returned to OPH and settled up with JOSH again thanking him for his generous help. My hope now is that the Original Pancake House in Coral Springs realizes that their staff, especially Josh, is an exceptional example of quality and support representing their company. Well I ordered they are 2 x 2 two scrambled eggs two pancakes and two sausage. Well let's start off with the eggs they must be tiny eggs. The pancakes are also minis and the sausage hard as a rock I sent it back he brought me new ones that were worse. I don't know what happened to this restaurant maybe the new owners I think they changed all the product. This was a horrible experience and my $20 breakfast went right in the toilet. A local favorite with many locations throughout South FL. I was craving pancakes and eggs and Original Pancake House was the first place that came to my mind. My food was amazing. I started off with a hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and it was yummy. The pancakes are always so fluffy, and it was my first time having the home style potatoes and they were seasoned to perfection. The eggs and bacon were average and tasted good. This review is what it is like to dine in for breakfast- having Pancakes- at the Original House of Pancakes. It will attempt to identify the good and the bad, then weigh all to arrive at a star rating. A man at the hist desk told us "sit anywhere you like." He closely held menus and utensils rested on them then instructed again "sit anywhere." I reached for the menus as he did not hand them over. I saw him walk in front of a subsequent couple who arrived and he was way ahead of them placing menus, utensils on table where they were supposed to sit as he kept walking leaving them in the dust. Made me laugh. The menu is several pages and not only features pancakes but also has waffles. Because I missed blueberry pancake Day about 5 days before coming here that is what I had on the brain. I ordered what I ordered when I was last here pre-pandemic over 5 years ago. That is, the 2 × 2 × 2 but with blueberry pancakes instead of buttermilk pancakes. I told our friendly waiter I wanted my two eggs to be Over Easy and that my 2 pieces of meat would be Bacon. It turns out, as the name of this meal suggests, customers get 2 pancakes also to complete a 2 × 2 × 2. A plate full of creamer packets & butter packets was placed in the center of the table. My companion had an omelette as I recall. We opted not to have coffee, just water to drink. Before putting order in, and because I asked to have blueberry syrup, the Waiter warned me there would be a $1.39 upcharge to have blueberry syrup. Looking around I noticed a fresh-squeezed orange juicer by the waitstaff counter kind of on the corner. Love fresh orange juice (OJ). It made me want an OJ! Also, in looking around, cute black-framed historic 1970s era restaurant pictures were hung at each booth and adorned the restaurant columns. Great bits of history. So novel. After a not too long wait, the food was brought out. I noticed my pancakes were hanging out off the plate and didn't have blueberries inside my griddle cakes (pancakes) because a portion of blueberries, which looked very fresh, were on top of the pancakes. I then asked for a small OJ because I love fresh-squeezed juice. Between the perfectly cooked eggs and the warmed blueberry syrup I very much enjoyed my meal, though if I could change anything having to do with my 2 pancakes they would have had scoops of Whipped butter on top AND the blueberries would have been added to the batter, and therefore, been cooked inside the pancakes as opposed to being placed atop them. After a good meal we waited nearly half an hour to see our waiter appear again. That was too long. When he appeared I asked for the check and he did not have it with him but said he could take my credit card now and "take care of it." He brought my cc back and then asked me to sign on a credit card device he also brought over. He still had not shown me the check. And after I signed it he never gave a credit card receipt. Strange. By this time he had disappeared again. Better host/hosting where patrons are actually escorted to their booth or table would be my preference. While our waiter was friendly enough and took an order his long absences and failure to provide a check and credit card receipt was a disappointing omission. Eggs cooked great, bacon okay, but would have preferred scooped on Whipped butter from the kitchen instead of my having to fool with individual butter packets. The plump berries were very nice and fresh and would have been delightful cooked inside the batter. A difference in opinion there, perhaps. Taking into account the totality of my observations, I arrive at a solid 3 stars. Best to present a check, provide a credit card receipt, and not keep a guest waiting longer for their check than it took to order and eat. Fresh OJ is a plus here! I went to the original pancake House Inn correspondence at 1:30. They close at two they give me special treatment. I got a big cheese and spinach omelette and pancakes and a doggy bags to eat another meal off of it. They're orange juices today for the service is better than great I love original pancake house. Saturday morning shenanigans began with having breakfast here at Original Pancake House in Coral Springs. Parking CAN be a bit challenging if you're looking to get a spot close by as they don't have a huge parking lot for the restaurant, otherwise plenty of spaces in the huge parking lot across the way. We walked in and the hostess was extremely busy with to go orders but still attentive to acknowledge us. The restaurant really wasn't that busy other than the booths all being filled. So we were sat and greeted by our server. The menu is huge! I so wanted to Apple pancakes but was quickly discouraged by my partner in crime as they take up to a half hour and the scowl on his face said it all. Hangry...do not poke the bear. LOL. I ordered a delicious Omelet that was way too much for one sitting that came with three pancakes (again delicious!). My partner had the cherry crepes with a side of bacon. Now, he shared his bacon (who does that? ...lol) but I didn't get a taste of those crepes as he was so enjoying them he ate the entire serving and RAVED how good they were. Service was good, restaurant was comfortable and clean. I really enjoyed this experience and am giving a well deserved FIVE STAR RATING!! The omelette was cooked to a crisp and was brown. The French toast was not good and their special sauce was gross. The skillet was dry as well. Also, surprisingly overpriced. It's $1.50 to add a topping, so adding onions to the omelette put it just below $20. Would rather go to Dyan's Country Kitchen any day for quality food. read more

I was disappointed that it was lit on the menu. I ended up getting turkey sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and pancakes. The turkey sausage was a bit greasy for my liking. I had to press it between a napkin. The eggs were done well and the hash browns were well done and crispy just like I asked for them to be. The pancakes were light and fluffy and delicious. I've been going here since they first showed up in Florida like 30 or more years. The food was great! I went there last week and I'm not happy about leaving feedback this time. It's not just this one resturant. Since covid no one wants to work. The food is getting so expensive. The meal I had there was mediocre at best. The waitress was totally indifferent to me. Never asked if I needed hot water for my tea but she did come over and poured coffee in my tea cup. Point taken. I always get the 49ers. I did that day too. The pancakes used to almost fall off the plate and they were great and tender. I asked for them on the light side always. I wish I had taken a picture. I will next time. The 49ers were almost half the size that they used to be. I've never had a tough pancake before. I love the way they used to be. But... as the saying goes... You can never go home again. The reason I had reservations is because I'd visited another breakfast restaurant for pancakes weeks prior ( not an Original pancake House) and I was so disappointed, but Original Pancake House DELIVERED! I personally like pancakes with crispy edges and they were able to give me that. Yummy! I ordered the Impossible sausage with eggs, potatoes and pancakes. I was so happy to see they offered a vegetarian/vegan meat option. I can't remember the name of the pancakes I had but they were slim, crispy on the edges and delicious. The only con were the eggs. The good: Seated quickly and the food was good. The bad: The food took a really long to come out- and I don't mean because it takes longer because they make it fresh. We then got our food at different times so some people were done before others got their food. This was so bizarre. 1st plates that came out first were eaten and then waited before getting the rest. If there was excellent service it would make up for this but on top of it we couldn't get drinks refilled Amir any updates from the server. The kitchen being short staffed has nothing to do with that. They also added gratuity onto the checks without saying anything about it. If you have hours to eat breakfast then go there. read more

The food all came out haphazardly some came out here some there. My wife's eggs and my sister -in-laws waffle came out almost 20 minutes after everyone else's. I went to use the mens room twice, Once at the beginning and also an hour and a half each time I told them that there was NO SOAP IN THE MEN"S ROOM. So i guess they all work with dirty germy hands.
