Very small from the outside, I didn't expect it to be such a cute mom n pop place when I came in! The theme is baseball at Original Philips, there's a lot of unique memorabilia on the walls. We came from the gym starving and wanted to get something before shopping and decided breakfast. I chose a special with eggs and biscuits/ gravy. My friend got a meat lover omelette. Really impressed with the customer service, our waitress was awesome and the other that was working & doing coffee runs was also attentive and quick to help. The eggs and omelette were really good. I wasn't impressed with the gravy, there needs to be something else with it. Overall super clean, very quick to get a meal, and service is awesome. I was so hungry I forgot to take photos of the food . Come in and try it for yourself.

Philips Special

My visit was on a Monday Morning at 8:00. I was given my choice of seating of which I took a small booth. My waitress was very prompt. As soon as I sat down I was offered coffee, and there where menus in pockets along the wall. I chose the Philips Special. It came with basically two of everything. (Eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, toast.) It came within 15 minutes of ordering. My coffee cup NEVER got less than 1/2 full as the waitress was always making rounds through the tables. She was very outgoing and seemed to know all the customers by name. I like that. When my breakfast came she even offered another plate for me to put my pancakes on if I so desired. All the food was great. One of the best places I have been downriver and there have been a lot. Good job Philips You are definitely an original This was my first time here but it never felt that way. . Atmosphere Located on Ecorse Road, across from Applebees in Taylor Mi. Thet have both booths and tables to sit at. It had a great homey feel. Various sports memorabilia on the walls but it didn't feel like a sports place. It felt like a restaurant that might be owned by a family member or friend. It was a bit dated inside but that only added to the charm. Noise Level Quiet. Normal talking levels. Meal Philips Special $4.49 this includes Two Eggs, Two strips of Bacon, Two sausages, Two pancakes,Toast (2 pieces) Coffee $2.09 Total $7.00 Wheelchair Access The restaurant is at street level, seating is at normal levels. No specific Handicap parking. Entrance has a vestibule making wheelchair use trying. My Rating: 2 1/2 Stars Ratings range from zero to four stars. Zero is poor, One star, good. Two stars, very good. Three stars, excellent. Four stars, extraordinary (almost impossible to achieve

This is my new favorite pizza restaurant! It's the first time I've not had to order extra cheese…read more(there's plenty!), the crust is to die for, and they are generous with toppings! The prices for their burgers make me want to check and see if I'm being pranked ($6.50 for a half pound burger with everything but cheese)! Service is fast and friendly! Prices are phenomenal! Love it!

We did & it was good. The taste was what we remembered. For our son's birthday he asked to have Vito's pizza this time, instead of going to our regular pizza place. We ordered 3 pizzas. one party pizza & two round xl. We ordered early in the week to be picked up on the weekend. They were ready on time. All 3 were extremely dry, not much sauce & were rather bland. I thought it was just me, but a whole household of people agreed. I sampled all 3 pizzas & yes there was very, very little sauce. That was what we liked most about Vito's pizza was the sauce. That was an expensive lesson plus there are about 15 pieces in the fridge, that no one is going to eat. We will be going back to our regular place.

Everything we ordered was delicious. Also, the portions were huge! I love the coffee flavors and both dishes that we ordered! Overall, an excellent experience!

This was an awful table to be at in here. We hardly had elbow room or table space, especially after the giant platter sized bread was out with all of the breakfast/ brunch items for half of the table. I ordered the Fazolia. Everyone else got omelets, burgers or wrap items. Yes, a couple of team members weren't keen on ordering Fasolia with scrambled eggs, large Greek salad, 2 lahm sighar (one with potato and one quit eggs), 2 smashed burger, Yemeni scrambled eggs, chicken fajita, Greek skillet, southwest skillet, chicken wrap, coffee, tea without milk, Turkish coffee, mint lemonade refresher. Every team member said their food was good. The scrambled eggs are a tad runny and looked a bit puréed. The fasolia has good flavor and even better with some heat. It came out piping hot. Without the added eggs, this dish would be woefully lacking in substance for me. I would likely still be left hungry with the beans alone, since I don't eat the bread, generally. I tried the bread to give it a go, it's good. The Greek salad is nicely plated or bowled rather. The ingredients are in separate piles and looks like a pinwheel. The red onions were crudely cut. The tomatoes looked wrinkled and not so appealing. The Greek salad was underwhelming for me. The tea doesn't taste good, definitely need some honey, sugar or the milk here, although I favor nothing in my tea.
