I had gotten the Belgian waffles with hash browns and sausage and boy was it filling!! The waitresses always made sure you have enough coffee,and service was very fast!!They had the biggest menu I've seen ever!! They had some nice background music playing and it was warm in there so it made me sleepy!! I revisited Cameo for their delicious soup and got some delicious pita bread to go with it. Its funny because they take your payment ask you how much you want to tip, making you feel on the spot. So my problem was why ask for a tip which I gave $2.00 tip to pick up my soup if you are not even going to give me a spoon or napkins. Disappointing. read more

Worst place to go to early in the morning. There's a snaggle tooth waitress, I say snaggle tooth because if you see her you will know who I'm talking about, that works the early hours who's not friendly at all. She has a rude tone and she sits in the booths a lot flirting with guys and talking about customers, runs her mouth with the cook or always on her phone. The last time I went she tossed my plate down and said here ya go and walked away. Well, this to be our family's favorite go to neighborhood restaurant but not anymore. Yes, the owners updated the inside of restaurant, added a drive-thru window and outdoor patio during Covid-19 BUT that not was is important to get repeat business and be a neighborhood favorite. Sadly the quality of their food has completely disappeared!! Our family of five has dined their multiple times over the last few months and their food is just not good anymore and especially w/ the new higher menu prices too. I'm not looking for large volume meals, just great quality food. A few of our family favorites have drastically changed: * Broasted chicken dinner is now the size of wing-dings and the pieces used to be colossal and feed two people on one dinner. * Fried cod dinner looks like one cod loin cut into three small pieces served w/ only a handful of fries. * Corned beef hash now has minimal corned beef and 90% potatoes. Plus side is it's still fresh corned beef. * Broiled grouper has been overcooked last three times * Greek salad dressing (house made) is bland/watery thin and it's so sad because it used to be robust and fabulous!! Wow. My husband was craving biscuits and gravy at dinner time tonight so I decided to stop by Cameo. I ordered for my family and wasn't sure what I wanted. I asked the gal taking my order what her favorites were and she started mentioning several very good options. Everything sounded good. I asked what her favorite Italian option was and she steered me towards mostaccioli. She checked in with me a few times to make sure the order was perfect and put the gravy for the biscuits on the side because she knew it would hold up better for me that way. At home we dug in. Everything was soooo good! This was my go to in Grubhub. I ordered several times a week. Will never spend another dime there. I paid for my order on Grubhub and even after showing the receipt my brother who picked it up for me was charged at the window. When I called there, the lady said she doesn't know, it's not what her receipt shows and was too busy and didn't have time to deal with it. She then wanted me to go back up there 3 hours later to talk with the owner. I got double charged and they didn't have time to deal with me. She was yelling, sighing, rude, condescending and ended up hanging up on me, when she got a tone from me because she was absolutely unprofessional. I've tried a variety of things on their menu and found the food to be hit or miss. The only exception is the club sandwich. The bacon is always crisp, the turkey tastes like Thanksgiving, the bread is perfectly toasted, and the lettuce and tomato fresh. I do like the drive thru option for pick-up orders. If it's cold or I'm just anxious to get home from work it's nice to order online or over the phone and pull right up to the window. read more

The restaurant made my omelette wrong because I asked for no cheese, this was 2 days ago. So today on new years I call to have my food replaced. I always ask for my omelettes to have everything mixed together so it's not egg with things fall in out. Today they made the omelette wrong again, telling me that I am in the wrong. That it was replaced once so they won't make it again and the so called manager wants to say that he has his babies coming in so he won't make it. Another issue is that they have advertising about breakfast specials, no where does it say that on holidays they won't honor it. So I also paid full price. When I decided to order out Sunday breakfast today, I wondered if Cameo may be cheaper than my usual place. I remembered going here once before, but it was over 10 years ago so I don't remember the quality of the food. Once I came to Yelp and saw the picture of the $3.95 omelette special all week, I was sold. So I call to order my western omelette, and ask how much it is. She says $5.25, and not wanting to start an argument, I just said ok. The picture was a year old, so maybe they didn't have the special anymore. I arrive 10 minutes later to pick it up, and I see the exact same sign in their window as I'm walking in. So when the girl at the register tells me $5.78, I ask about the omelette special for $3.95. Her reply was "that's Monday through Friday. There's no specials on Sunday." I thought it was odd, because I was almost certain that it said Monday through Sunday, but again I didn't want to argue. I paid, and left... and then saw the MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY sign in their window as I left. I'm not a confrontational person, and considering the cashier wasn't particularly friendly, it wasn't worth it for me to go back in and try to get my $1.50 back. I'd rather take the loss, move on, and let them lose out. They won't be getting my repeat business, nor will I be referring anyone there. The food was average for a local diner. Service however, was a little below average. As I mentioned, the cashier wasn't exactly friendly. She wasn't rude either, but just not very personable. When I ordered on the phone, she asked if I wanted hash browns or american fries. I said american fries, and after arriving home I discovered I still got hash browns. They were very buttery, but not bad. Glad I asked for them well done. The omelette was pretty good. Definitely fresh, but I was annoyed that the ingredients weren't very well spread out. The green pepper was all on one side of the omelette, while onion was all on the other side. There was a good amount of ham, but it was the cheap ham that's almost like a hash. While the food was a solid average at 3 stars, this place gets 2 stars because I really dislike shady places. And to me, advertising a special in a huge sign in your window and then refusing to honor it when asked is very shady. Skip this place, go to Six Star at Fort and Eureka. That's my regular place. While it's a little more expensive, it's still very reasonable and the waitstaff is awesome. Food is also much better! They also honor their specials. read more

I have been here several times and there is nothing bad about the food, it is just average. The pros are the place is very clean and they have excellent breakfast specials. The cons, at dinner I kept getting the same grouchy waitress. When I heard they opened at 6 am, I decided to try it again. 2. Of the 3 times I was there either the waitres or the cook was late. This last time I had to go to McDonalds so I wasn't late for work so I don't think I will be going back. I give it 3 stars instead of 2 just because of the great beeakfast specials.
