    Biscuits & Gravy
    Ron R.

When you walk in you see all the older generation here and I have always said that if the older people are coming to an establishment that it HAS to be good because they do not put up with mid grade food and the colors in the restaurant are fabulous, it had a beach theme which was quite relaxing to see. So we sat right away and ordered coffee. The coffee is always good and fresh anywhere you go so we decided to order, the waitress was running around getting everyone's order, she was fast, friendly and a great server for every table. I ordered the Country Omelette & a half order of Biscuits & Gravy. The food came out exceptionally fast which is somewhat suspect but I have to say that the Country Omelette was VERY good, the cheese was very cheesy, the egg itself had a very good taste and the Gravy.... Oh my word, this gravy was off the chain, it did not taste canned it DEFINITELY tasted homemade, the biscuits did taste like they sat out a little too long and were a little hard but the taste of the gravy definitely did it some justice. Overall I have to say this is well worth it and maybe today just wasn't the best day for the biscuit but the gravy was AMAZING!! All the food was great, service was great and the ambience was awesome! To know that this is literally 5 blocks away from my house and I have never been here shows how much I pay attention to restaurants near me. Lol. Come here if you like Omelettes and gravy.

Stuffed Cabbage is delicious and on special.

I love this ma & pa spot. The Owners are absolutely amazing and treats his staff wonderfully. They close around the holidays so the staff can "be with their families". That was refreshing, they actually care. Not to mention being regulars I've seen them run the register, seat patrons, cook and deliver food to tables. Hardworkers! Total respect. My Husband loves their fish and seasoned fries, I'm partial to their dumplings and stuffed cabbage myself and Turkey Noodle Soup. Their Omelets are also out of this world. You really can't get a bad meal here. The prices are reasonable, the food is plenty and delicious. The service is always top notch. What more could you ask for?

Since the new owners took over the place, the hours are ridiculous. Go to caselli's or Leon's instead

Unfortunately, it's a bar on the side that we sat on so it definitely had customers that we're using very inappropriate language even though they saw our kid was there. Our waitress was pleasant and she directed us to the vegan menu which we ordered the plant -based chicken tenders, which unfortunately the portions were tiny for the price. I'll give this place three out of five because they did have options, but unfortunately, the portion size just did not make sense for the price point. Our daughter got the Natchos which were a play on nachos which you could tell was warmed up probably in the microwave and did not taste that great. And was the most expensive item at $20 for basically french fries with a few pieces of the plant-based chicken. We were grateful they had the options. It's just unfortunately the vegan options. We're not very filling at all again based on the price point they were asking for. Definitely don't suggest this place for a family again because patrons and many of the staff were using really inappropriate language but the inside at a very artistic look to it so that was a plus.

The interior decor is nice, it obviously car themed hence the name. They have 2 bars and plenty of tables to accommodate large parties. I suppose if you like yours a bit more cooked, then ask to have them sautéed longer but I liked them how they were. I heard so many good things about this place so I was happy to finally stop by. Today's food is perfect. We had a burger bowl that was - to me - like a deconstructed burger; another person had the fish and chips that were good and served crisp and hot; and another had the meatloaf and it was served with brown gravy and two sides. Two points that knocked down the score bar service was tooooo slow. I was going to have a second beer and by the time waitress came to apologize about long delay and frustration with bar service, I told her to cancel it. Second, the waitress had to be reminded to bring drink refills after we asked for them. She apologized and got them right away. But, it added to our frustration of delays. No matter my two points, I do recommend this restaurant. Usually, service is better and the burgers are GREAT!

For example, I get the "Hearty" breakfast most of the time and it comes with eggs, meat, pancakes, potatoes and toast, and it really highlights what is this place's strength. Eggs: I get mine scrambled and have a nice selection of hot sauce to choose from. Meat: I appreciate that they offer turkey sausage since I don't eat beef or pork, but my wife loves their bacon if that's your thing. Pancakes: quality varies the most here as they are sometimes a little pale (but still good) but more often the idyllic golden one expects when ordering. Potatoes: lots of variety here, too, as my home fries come in different sized cuts with seasoning ranging from none to "no need for salt or pepper?" Toast: Again, wide variety of choices, I go with sourdough most often If this sounds like a lot of food, there are lots of other options that make it appealing to smaller appetites. But what I like about the "Hearty" is all the choices and the variation in style (probably depends on who's staffing the griddle) allows me to order the same meal and still feel like I'm getting some variety. Having said that, keep an eye out for the specials. They sometimes are tempting enough to get me to stray from usual. In addition to good food, the service is always friendly, and we've been back enough times to where I think every server recognizes us. Like I said, it's a favorite.

I thought it was just me, but a whole household of people agreed. I sampled all 3 pizzas & yes there was very, very little sauce. That was what we liked most about Vito's pizza was the sauce. That was an expensive lesson plus there are about 15 pieces in the fridge, that no one is going to eat. We will be going back to our regular place.
