The general manager waited on us and he was friendly and chatty. We also had the dessert flight which was 4 small samplings of different flavors of their moist cake. All-in-all, it was a very pleasant meal. If we lived closer, this would be a great hang-out. And it would be nice to try the original crust and some other ingredient combinations. Our order taker was Donna T. At Zarda BBQ you order at the counter, they provide you with your receipt that has your number on it, and they call when your number/order is ready. They help brings items to your table if you like. We got the Meat Platter (includes 4 sides for $56.25) and we selected 2 orders of Fries and 2 orders of BBQ Baked Beans. The 1/2 lb sliced beef, 1/2 lb sliced ham, 5 oz sliced sausage, and 1/2 slab ribs were all delicious and wonderful. The fries were made to order as usual, were hot and crispy on the outside while being fluffy on the inside. The beans had a very good flavor, a slight peppery sweetish taste but great flavor. In addition we also got a #2 Rib Plate Dinner (includes 2 sides and medium soft drink for $22.00) and selections were Cheesy Potato Bake and Crispy Brussels, soft drink was Diet Dr Pepper. The ribs were perfect as expected. The Potato Bake was very flavorful and cheesy, potatoes good perfectly. The Crispy Brussels (Brussels sprouts) were cooked and seasoned very excellent, nicely crisped like under a broiler yet had moisture and texture to remain flavorful and very good. The Diet Dr Pepper was brixed perfectly and refills are free. In addition, we got a regular Thursday special 1/2 Chicken (includes one side on Thursday for $16.50) and the side chosen was Green Beans. The chicken was very nicely smoked and had a wonderful moistness to it, not dried out, very flavorful! The green beans were a good texture and nicely seasoned. To be sure we had sufficient to take home afterward, we also ordered a Full Slab of Ribs ($28.50) which, wow, today they were offering all ribs for 25% off!. I asked if that was a regular Thursday thing or something and Donna said no, it was something they offer periodically. Our lucky day! When we left at 3:52 pm, we ordered two more slabs to take home since that was such a great value. The ribs were all perfectly smoked, tender, pull slightly off the bone, not overcooked and not undercooked, My wife got water and our nephew got Dr Pepper. He said his Dr Pepper was perfect. The atmosphere was great, the personnel were all great as well. All attentive yet not overbearing. The restaurant was clean, no tables with dishes sitting around. When a table of customers left there was an employee promptly to clear the table. Restrooms were very clean and nicely appointed. We noticed a family that this was apparently their first day at Zarda BBQ. They did an excellent job explaining the menu and options available. Overall, a perfect visit to Zarda BBQ in Blue Springs. We will be returning again and recommend it. Also, they were able to remedy my VIP Club issue so that made things even better!

I took advantage and ordered the Hog Wild. It was BIG and did NOT disappoint. As a bacon aficionado, it was like the icing on the cake, so to speak. It's a BIG, BEAUTIFUL, TASTY sammie. Plenty enough to half and satisfy your needs. The ordering system is similar to Chipotle. There are cash registers and cashiers who take your order at a long counter. The food is quickly prepared in the kitchen, and a runner brings the food to the table. #btw - the cashiers have a tip jar under the counter. So be nice and tip the crew!! The dining room is well lit and VERY large. It's apparent this place is a BIG FAVORITE of "working men" and everyone else! Lots and lots of construction workers in their fluorescent vests. Plus tables full of educators in their school colors - complete with their name badges hanging from around their necks. Looking forward to returning!
