This is tommys is way superior than the El Monte location. The Chilli is always hot , unlike El Monte.

The chili was watered down today. Had no taste or substance. Very disappointed because the biggest draw, normally, is the chili.

Just as I remembered 40 years ago after closing bar. Nothing is open but Tommy's, so the food has become part of my life history. Today was the first day of years in withdrawal from the taste of Tommy's, and brought back so many memories. The food is always good, and the hardest decision is whether go for a hot dog too! You see, at Tommy's, everything is all good in flavor and quantity, so you just want to try everything! This was the last night of $1.99 tamales, so I had to tell my wife to pull over and get some. She thought I was crazy on Christmas Eve, to be eating Tommy's, but I just could not not try that tamale. Needless to say, that tamale was great. I went to tommy burgers today, and the girl with curly blonde hair and glasses there was extremely rude. I understand working isn't fun, but at least treat the customers with some kindness. it was uncomfortable ordering from her. Then as we waited she was talking trash about other customers. And his reply was " I'm not here to give free fries away" I told him " I'm not here asking to give me free fries " . Ok Tommy's. I have loved your food for a long time. Love your Chili Cheese Fries and your Chili Dog. But, I got your Chili Cheeseburger today. I was upset when I bit into it and it had hard gristle bits inside . I immediately threw away the rest of the burger. Big turnoff!! To me, it's is like finding a fly in my food!!! Gross!!! I think many people feel the same way as I do... I will never eat another burger here.. Can't do it. But, you guys here at Tommy's better get on board with this. Do not come here if want to order food. The drive thru employee couldn't even greet. We waited at the drive thru for a few minutes with no response. We said hello thinking they may not have seen us. Alright I've given them enough chances. I've been to this location 3 times now and I've had my order wrong 2/3 times. For one, it's obvious that some of the workers are high or under the influence of something. Their eyes are always red and their incompetence shows. Today, I ordered a plain chili burger, just patty and chili, and they gave me a burger with no chili on it. Then when I told them I actually ordered it with chili they took it back to "fix it" but handed me back a plain burger with a slice of cheese on it instead. If they're going to be high on the job they can at least listen right and do their jobs correctly. One guy in there always has his AirPods in so that's probably why he can't hear the orders correctly. Management needs to step in and talk with their staff because this is ridiculous. I'd rather make the drive out to LA for my Tommy's fix. read more

We got their food truck over for an employee appreciation luncheon.Jessica the catering co-ordinator assisted our admin lady in setting times, employees etc. up. Their minimum order is for $1500.00 for 1 1/2 Hour worth of service and it includes 131 Triple chilli cheese burgers, 131 chilli cheese fries, and 131 sodas. All said and done, our guys got 98 burgers of different varieties, 48 fries, 39 chili cheese fries, and 71 sodas. They ring up every time an employee steps up and places an order, and then they total it at the end. We consumed $837.50 worth of delicious goodness. It was a huge hit with our employees as there was more food than what we could eat. We will definitely get the truck back out in the future. read more

I really want to like Tommy's ... like REALLY REALLY want to like them ... but I'm sorry the chili just isn't that great (considering it's what makes them 'famous'). I went over with my cousins (one of whom has Tommy's at least 3 times a week) and a few friends. I hadn't been to Tommy's in years, but I thought it was due for another shot. It's definitely not bad ... but there's nothing special about it for me (i'd choose in-n-out any over Tommy's). So one of my cousins had the Mega Burger (which I didn't try, but it looked like it had possibly too much going on inside of it). Another cousin had the original chili cheese dog (which is so covered in chili and cheese that you have to go looking for the hotdog like buried treasure). I had the Caliente burger and fries. The burgers are cooked well, but again the chili wasn't to my taste, and for being a 'caliente' burger is wasn't very spicy at all. The fries are actually really good (not too hard, not too soft) and they're not bad with chili and cheese on them either. I'm still not a huge fan of Tommy's, but I'm glad I gave it another shot. It really is hit or miss, and some people absolutely love their chili so give it a try before deciding either way. read more

They have the best breakfast burritos and they aren't that expensive. We usually order chili cheese burgers when we come here. They give you a good amount of chili. that you can scoop it up from your burger and eat it with your fries. We have been coming here for 1.99 chili dogs on Tuesday's. We get cheese on ours so it's around 2.50. I'm not much of a hot dog person but wow! You need a fork to eat this unless you don't mind being messy. Its a good size and it taste great. I love their pickles. There's always parking. It's usually clean. The prices for the combos are kind of expensive though. At least they give free refills. Customer service is ok. Food is great.
