I purchased a policy from this company through my Agent, paid an annual. Then about a month after it was purchased I got a request that they wanted an inspection, called my agent and he said this is pretty normal today. Then about a week after the inspection I got a notice they were canceling my policy ( gave the resom as I had a diving board) This was a total waste of my time and my Agents time. read more

I bought home insurance and paid 4 months premium, $828.22, on 11/07/25,policy went into affect 11/27/25. 54 day later, 12/31/25, they sent an inspector to my property. Two weeks later I got a cancellation notice because my property was " adjacent " to a commercial property as shown on a satellite photo. They had this information from day one. They now owe me a refund of $227.82, the policy was cancelled 2/12/26. They will not refund my money. They are nothing more than crooks. Along with their cohorts, Nsure, I think they are pulling the old " bait and switch ". Maybe a class action suit needs to be filed in Federal court? read more

Unprofessional and sketchy. I paid the full premium for a year of insurance. After receiving full payment, the company demanded more money to 'activate' the insurance because "they made a mistake with the premium" (which was already high). Stay away. read more

Terrible insurance group! After I purchased a new home they didn't inspection and told me because my roof was flat they would not in​sure it! This is something they should have been advertised up front! "Sorry we don't insurance homes that have flat roofs" and now I have to find and purchase a new homeowner insurance policy. Along with this being told my refund won't be for 15 more business days so now I have to come out of pocket with more money for another insurance company. And not only they are they charging me the monthly fee that I paid for coverage but another $50 for a home inspection and another $100 for their company BS blah blah blah fucking fee! From a $754 payment I'm only getting $518 back! BS.... Please be aware! This should have been talked about up front! And now to gouge and scam me out of an extra $150! Unbelievable...! read more

We decided to go with Orion180 for our secondary home because their prices seemed great, and everything initially went smoothly when we set up the policy. We informed them right from the start that this was a secondary property. The inspector came out, everything appeared fine, and we were optimistic. But then things took a turn. Fast forward to the inspection results--nothing too alarming, just a list of minor fixes, including clearing debris off the roof (leaves and twigs), placing a blank box in the breaker (left by the previous owners), providing photo evidence that our renovations were finished (we were just painting), and confirming a heating source. These all seemed like easy requests, and we planned to address them before leaving the property on 12/31/2025 to return to our primary home out of state. I called Orion180 customer service to clarify the heating source requirement. The representative confirmed that they only needed a permanent heating source, not necessarily a thermostatically controlled one. This was important because we have two natural gas heating sources: one is a main thermostatically controlled unit (exactly what they asked for) and the other is a supplemental natural gas wall heater that heats the entire home just fine. We submitted both heating sources as per their instructions. However, after reviewing our submission, a new representative contacted us via email, saying that our heating sources wouldn't work. Fine, we thought, we'll try another solution. We decided to install a 23,000 BTU window unit that serves as both an air conditioner and heater, along with a dehumidifier. Surely that would meet their requirements, right? Apparently not. They rejected the window unit and insisted that we needed an entirely new HVAC system installed. So now, we're being told that a secondary home requires a brand new HVAC system--completely unnecessary for a house that already has functioning heating--and they also hinted at adding a premium charge onto the policy we had already set up. The customer service was not only unprofessional but also downright unhelpful. The lack of communication between representatives was evident, and it felt like they were stringing us along just to find any reason to charge us more or cancel the policy altogether. It was incredibly frustrating and felt like they were taking advantage of a situation that should have been simple to resolve. In the end, Orion180 came across as just another money-hungry company that couldn't care less about their customers. They've made the process of insuring our secondary home an absolute nightmare. If you're looking for an insurance company that values your time and money, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. We won't be staying with Orion180 and highly recommend avoiding them. read more

The receptionist is so rude. They sent me a flyer for a quote, I called them and requested one. Waited three weeks and never received anything. I had to call another company for a quote but couldn't get one because Orion had submitted something that prevented me from getting alternate quotes. Thankfully I was able to sign some document that allowed me to have an agent change. Can you imagine that they submitted something for me and never called back? And that it froze me up from getting other quotes? What a great business they have. When I called them back to find out what happed the receptionist was a complete a-hole. Bye bye dummies, I'll be doing business elsewhere. read more

Very bad company!!!!...They canceled my Insurance and charge me $15.00. The canceled policy was on 11/11/22. As of 1/12/23 I did not received my refund. Stay away from Orion. read more

They must pay people for their good reviews bc I've never had such an unprofessional experience. Unless you like having to file a complaint with the department of insurance in order for your insurance company to DO ITS JOB, any other insurance in the worlds better than this company. Fought me tooth and nail, had to send three different checks to cover less than $5000 worth of damage bc they were fighting so hard to keep from paying it until I filed a complaint and got the insurance commission involved. Then suddenly they could come up with the money in less than 24 hours after having my floor torn up while they dragged their feet for over two months! read more

Orion Insurance has been our agency for a few years now. My husband and I own a business and we moved to Orion after having a terrible time getting a hold of our old agent when we needed them. Our agent, Erik is very responsive, handles all of our certificate requests, got us coverage for what we were told could not be gotten elsewhere, and cheaper than we had elsewhere too. I would highly recommend Orion and Erik as an agent! read more

This place is a joke! Stay away! I am not one to leave reviews but this will be an exception! After them inputting my email wrong and me not receiving proper notification of a missed payment, which had been automatically withdrawn from my account for the past 2 years, I called to rectify the situation. They were absolutely unwilling to work with me. I offered to make any missed payments, but was informed that the only way I could reinstate my policy would be to put $450+ dollars down and then my rates would be subject to increase. They were unable to tell me how much this rate increase would be until I put the cash down. I then, called and spoke with the owner of this slimy company hoping to find a resolution. He told me that he would suggest I pay that money and then they could look into finding me a good rate if the current company wanted too much. The other options I was given was to switch to a new insurance provider, the lowest rate they could find me was almost double of my current rate and they wanted a substantial down payment. The reason the rate was so high was because I had not had insurance in the last 30 days! I was able to contact another insurance broker, Americus Insurance, and spoke with George P. He was very helpful and got me a rate only $3 dollars more than what I was paying through these criminals. At least there is a company out there that does care about their clients!! read more

I have been dealing with Orion Insurance for 8 years from long distance, and every single time I have come back to the states they have done great by me. They have been courteous and helpful with every aspect of my insurance. I only use Orion. read more
