Thank goodness I found a Pest Control company that does a great job…read more Previously I had a pest control company for almost 15 years. They started using weak solutions and I constantly had to call for a re spray. All of a sudden, they stopped taking calls. I terminated them. Luckily I found Darren from Tri Valley Pest Control. He explained everything that he wound be doing, and doesn't use watered down products. He does a thorough job and I'm quite pleased with the outcome.

I recently had a pesky rodent problem which was probably attributed to one small critter who on…read moreback-to-back nights came through one opening from the exterior of my home and would chew up a flimsy power cable which was fed through into the interior of my home. I reached out to a number of contractors to get consultation on how to attack this problem and prevent repeated return visits from this one critter. Unlike the majority of the five or six other companies I reached out to, Tri-Valley Pest Control was honest and did not try to upsell me on unnecessary additional services. Amongst those companies I had come to my home and provide me an estimate, all but Tri-Valley pest control and one other company were very aggressive in trying to get me to (1) enclose all visible openings from the exterior to prevent rodent entry, (2) set traps, and (3) completely redo the insulation in my attic. Of course the latter cost exceed beyond $10,000. I knew Tri-Valley Pest Control was honest as the technician upon the visit for the estimate offered to do a temporary enclosure where he was able to locate the point of entry to where the damage was happening. Additionally his estimate was the most competitive and fair and reasonable. He allowed me to apply the cost of the temporary enclosure to the full cost of the more permanent enclosures. He was able to come out within the next day or two to complete the permanent enclosure job. In addition, the technician was friendly, customer-oriented, and made me feel at ease throughout the entire process. I absolutely recommend Tri Valley Pest Control!

We have used his pest control service for many years now and I continue to be impressed every single time with his willingness to fit a service call in, even very late notice. We apparently have a "rat's paradise" of a backyard (fruit, pool, etc.) he says so we attract them every couple years it seems. He takes care of the issue immediately. Highly recommend supporting his local business.

I signed up for quarterly (4x per year) service with William at ATPC on 6/9/2020, after being…read morereferred to him by friends. I have been a client, always paying in full and on time, for over 2 years. Today, William arrived (at my request) to perform a retreat of my property in addition to the multiple re-treats he has had to do since my normal quarterly spray that was conducted on 6/1/22. We had been experiencing overwhelming ant infestations both inside and outside of our home for months. Every time I contact William for a re-treat I always describe where it is I am seeing or experiencing the ants, and have also offered to physically show him (at which time I was cut short and interrupted by him with the response that he needs to get going, as he has other houses on his route to tend to). His "bedside manner" during conversations with me, both in person and over the phone, have never been overly friendly but, I've tried to overlook that in these past two years knowing I didn't contract with him for his personality but rather for his pest services. Today, when he arrived and began his normal spraying, I approached him from the side door and explained that I had additionally observed an ant trail along the wall of our home in our courtyard. He acknowledged me in his normal manner (with little-to-no conversation and through sunglasses) as I also tried to make small-talk as a means of saying hello and being friendly. Within an hour after he left, I observed a substantial trail of ants around our outdoor fireplace and at our fencing where our garbage cans reside in our backyard. I then found a sealed letter on our front door basically stating that "it has been determined that we will not be able to achieve satisfactory pest control at your property" and that my service with them has been cancelled as of TODAY! The notice included a $50 check for reimbursement of the portion of my quarterly agreement I had already paid for and yet had still to receive. I was taken aback at the contents of this letter mainly because I had spoke to William directly over the phone two days ago when I reported to him for the second time this week (the first time he did NOT return my call and said he didn't get my voicemail...I should mention this is not the first time he has made this claim in the last couple of months either) that we were having continuous ant issues since his quarterly treatment at which time he did not mention anything about no longer wishing to service the property, nor did he mention anything to me this morning directly when we spoke face to face after his arrival to our home. I called him immediately to inquire why I was receiving this notice and also why he didn't address this with me this morning, directly, when he was here. His response was basically that the notice was self explanatory, that he is losing money having to repeatedly retreat our house, and that most times when he arrives he sees little to no ant activity. He was matter of fact and somewhat rude in his answers. All I can say is this man needs a better set of eyeglasses, because there were steady streams of ants in multiple places in my yard just an hour after he left today. I don't think he is making an honest effort to look, perhaps in order to cut his "visit short so he can get to the other people on his route" today? It is interesting to me that my service contract requires I give ATPC a 30 day written notice to cancel, yet ATPC can cancel servicing my property without any written prior warning. I also find it interesting that item #3 of my service contract states "the customer has the right to request RE-SERVICE AT ANY TIME, provided at least 10 days have passed since last treatment", when clearly this is NOT THE CASE, because IF YOU DO, he loses money and will cancel your contract. I wish to also add that as I was discussing the nature of his notice left on my door this morning concerning them no longer wishing to service our property...*HE *HUNG *UP *ON *ME!!!!!! YES, you read that correctly. He hung up the phone while I was mid-sentence!!!! HOW UNPROFESSIONAL I FIND THIS!!!! WHAT GOOD BUSINESS WOULD ALLOW THAT???? Ultimately, this made me realize it WAS best that we part ways and I am grateful for him quitting on his contract with us...because this is not the proper way to treat customers or just people in general. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY if you have a serious pest problem and want professional service...you WON'T get it here!!!!!!!!!!!! This owner could have taken a true interest in his business and his reputation by taking the time to walk our property with me if he didn't see the infestations for himself and recognize where the issues were. Instead, he blamed it on the heavily infested surrounding properties as to why he could not properly eradicate the property of pests. I blame it on his negative attitude. When you truly care about your business it shows--that's clearly not the case here.

Since it was my home's first treatment, I asked to follow Jordan from a safe distance and asked many questions throughout the service. He took his time to answer all my questions and pointed out a few things about my home. I also have a relatively large garden, and he was careful and attentive about the products being used even though they are safe for gardens. I live by the hills and I get many roaches and ants, but after the first day of treatment, I have already seen a massive reduction in activity. The company provides anytime follow ups for no additional charge if the treatment isn't effective, but the general schedule is treatment every 2 months. A full list of used products is provided with your service. Pest control in general is not cheap, but I highly recommend HomeShield if you are considering pest control services. They will do their best to honour their scheduled time window, but services in the area have been in high demand, so the window they provide for you may be wide. I was asked to be home between 12pm-6pm, and I was rendered services at 5pm. Jordan called me an hour ahead of time to let me know he was on his way, which is very appreciated.

However, crawlspaces can get moldy and wet from lack of care. If you ever encounter rodents, there is a good chance they came via the crawlspace. After all, we do hear noises at night at times, which is creepy. Jacob visited and gave a comprehensive review and estimate. We basically went for a full package of rodent control, cleaning, and installing a new vapor shield to keep it dry. The while job took maybe 2.5 days with a crew of 3 workers each day. Outstanding quality work. First phase was sealing up the homes around the house and crawlspace, and laying traps. The attic was inspected too. This was followed up with weekly followups to ensure no more rodents. This scope was subcontracted to Golden State Critter Control. Highly recommend working with Greg. The next two phases involve cleaning and eventually reinstallation of the vapor shield. Compared to what we had before, it was day and night! I also appreciated the crew alerting me to a leaky drain pipe. I later worked with a plumber to replace a cracked 3"D drain pipe that connected upstairs to downstairs. It was fixed in about 3 hours with two plumbers. Definitely recommend Crawlspace Clean for rodent control and crawlspace cleaning. 5 stars.
