LOL this was a fairly laughable experience. I had a wasp issue on my lawn so I engaged in a Purcor subscription. The gentleman on the phone who sold me the package convinced me that they would for sure get rid of the wasps AND if there was still activity, they'd come back to re-treat it for free! Great! Well, the guy came out, and he was like, "Woah... there are a lot of wasps here. You definitely have a nest." Cool... So he looked, and he couldn't find one. Then I got permission from my neighbor to each side, and he looked there and couldn't find a nest. They also don't have wasps there... So okay... So then he sprays the lawn with wasp repellent, and he said this should keep the wasps away. Literally an hour after he left, there are just as many wasps! So... then they come back for the follow-up a week later, and he's like, "Yeah... I didn't think that spray would work, but that's what we have." Then they did our interior service, and it was so lazy... I have been knocking down webs on my own over the past week or two. I finally called to cancel the service, and of course they make it pretty difficult. You can't do it online... You need to wait on hold for a while. Finally today I was able to get it canceled. And then I swear you can't make this up... like two hours after I got off the call, I got the Purcor payment confirmation! So I guess I'm STILL a subscriber. Honestly if you just need them to knock down spider webs outside or spray for mosquitos, they're probably fine, and that's a real service, but in my case, this was a failure. read more

The customer service is awesome from the reps and the tech is a really nice person, very respectful and helpful. But the operation manager Michael Vasques, doens't know what he's doing, nor did he reads his message that the rep sent him regarding my issue. He called me to set up an appointment but didn't know why. What really angered me was that he didnt show up to his shedule appointments at my house Sat June 14th at 1000am leaving me hanging. No phone call, no reschedule, just didn't show up. As for the spray service I'm not happy with it, ants galore even though my house has been sprayed 3x. It's been 3 weeks and we still have spiders and ants. I'm not going to call them again. I'm tired of it. I think the spray they're using isn't strong enough. read more

I requested an inspection because we had an issue with maggots in the bathroom. The inspector they sent didn't have any tools or an adequate flashlight. He did almost nothing. The house has a crawlspace, and the door to it was screwed on and painted over; the inspector just stood there. So I got my drill and the tenant removed the screws and the door for me. The inspector said he couldn't go in because the opening was too small, and the tenant and I walked away in disgust. After that the inspector must have gotten down and looked in, because he showed me a very dark-looking video and said we had no termites. He didn't comment on the maggots. I called him later for an explanation and he said the homeowner is supposed to have everything open for them ahead of the visit. The office person I talked with should have told me that; I would have called someone else if they had. read more

This was the worst company i ever came across. they promised to come same afternoon and i requested time off from work to accommodate but then last minute they told me they can't come same day but maybe tomorrow. very upsetting because getting insect bites and it was urgent. no sympathy whatsoever. next day i myself had to call them to see when they can come and again one person said they can come and another said no can't come... maybe tomorrow or during the week... worst company. very disorganized and very expensive.... called another company that was charging only $150 to come same day with no hassle for the same service ... this company was going to charge me $400 but provided the worst service... i don't recommend ... cancelled immediately read more

Our household was a long time client of Keystone Pest Control, before they were acquired by PURCOR and the local Hayward Branch had given and continued to give exemplary service at a fair price. However, PURCOR began a top -down approach by moving all communications to call centers outside of our local branch. As of last year, we noticed a sharp increase in prices and a decrease in communication. Critical job details were not relayed to the local branch that made scheduling difficult as well as making service temperamental at best. We faced situations such as gates being left open or technician showing up at our house without notice. Recently, regional branches gave the technician the wrong phone number! read more

The corporate makes the call to alert the customer of the upcoming service. The problem is there is no follow up with customer regarding the time they will be there. This rating has improved as the technician is reachable by phone so that service time can be narrowed down so that we can prepare for them. We had Donovan Pest Control for years. They have been great. We never had any issues with Donovan. PURCOR bought them out a few years ago. We noticed ants trails in the front/back and a few ants infestation inside the house more often (this wasn't even during the Summer). We had them do a retouch a few time already and it doesn't seem to very effective. Overall they keep increasing the price every year but the services and results are just not the same. Told my 80 year old mother she needed to move the furniture from the walls and it would take up to 5 hours for the spray to dry. Was going to lay bait all over her house that was poisonous for animals. I specifically asked how long the spray took to dry and if it was safe for pets. The sales person said 15 minutes. No mention of having to move furniture and was told nothing about 5 hours. Called to complain about service and was told it must have been a miscommunication. Really? I signed up for their service mainly because I couldn't deal with the spiders and their webs, both inside and outside of my house any longer. I understand that they can't control 100% of the spider population in my backyard patio, but I see much less now with bimonthly treatment. Mario is super cool and wears a mask and booties every time he comes inside the house to spray. I got a one time spray around the perimeter for common pests/bugs. I asked the person to de-web inside the garage and around the perimeter of house. I didn't see him do it on the camera outside. I inspected the perimeter and inside of the garage and the big and obvious webs in the garage were still there. I was told they would de-web if I asked and it didn't happen. I'll try another service that's hopefully more reliable. For $195, I'd hope they would spend a little more time doing the job right and have more attention to detail than they actually did. read more

When I moved into my home years ago, I had terrible ant problem. None of the home remedies or ant bait worked. I couldn't leave any trace of food or candy out. If I left for the weekend, I would come back to a trail of ants going from one side of the house to the other. I absolutely hate spiders and we used to find a ton of large ones in the house on a regular basis. Having a bimonthly service drastically reduced the number of spiders we find in the house (I believe they also de-web each time). We've also had ant problems in the past that were handled quickly and effectively. The original pest control company I hired (Keystone Pest Control) was acquired by Donovan and then later by Purcor. I primarily stuck to the service because of convenience, but each transition has been totally seamless (zero work on my part except to create a login) and my bimonthly service was uninterrupted. Keystone was awesome and I'm glad the value of their service hasn't gone down since being acquired by a larger company. Typically they will ring the door to let us know they're here but the service is usually performed during work hours so they just do their thing and are respectful of the property. The really nice thing is that now there's an account to monitor the services and review the reports. I'm happy to keep using Purcor and would gladly recommend their services. read more

They treated my house for ants and I still have ants wandering into the house. I get lots of excuses why the technician can't do certain things but rarely what actually can be done to fix the problem. Purcor bought out Donovan's Pest Control. I LOVED Donovan's Pest Control. Ant problem was getting out of control and decided to call Keystone and give it a try. The technician came on time, wearing mask, we chatted a bit and I showed where the ants usually appeared, and he explained and showed me the possible routes, told me he would start applying spray. 30 mins after it was done and haven't seen ants for about 25 days until some of them started showing up again. Since there is a 30-day guarantee, I waited a few more days to see if ants would leave but I started seeing more, so on the 30th day I gave Keystone a call again and they came again for service for free. Ants started raiding our house from almost all rooms. This company responded quickly and took care of all of the problem by spraying outside and inside. Wore mask and booties inside. I've used Keystone in the past for bug/ant/spider spraying around the perimeter of our home. Though the bug/ant spray has a 30-day guarantee, I found it fairly effective for most of the year. We haven't used it in longer than a year, and were having a backyard party this past weekend. I saw a crazy amount of ants in our backyard and didn't want to have them all over our guests or food. I was able to book time for last Thursday and Trevor Davis was awesome! All the previous technicians were fine, but Trevor actually came to tell me where the TWO ant colonies were and what to look for if we see ants again. He was also really friendly and personable. We've been having them take care of our home for the better part of a decade, starting off with them dealing with a rat infestation, which they handled with pressure traps and followed up with outdoor bait stations that still sees moderate use, so we have them come by and change them once a month. It has thankfully kept our home rodent free. Of course, we also have issues with ants as, on average of once a year, they invade our back bedroom and kitchen so we call the technician into to do his yearly spray around the house and spot spray the hot spots inside. The technicians are professional, but the highlight of their service is their administrative personal who manage the scheduling with a grace and dignity I often do not find in other home services. I've used them several times for pest problems - our home backs up to a field and creek runoff so rats and mice frequent the area. When we first bought our home they cleared our property of rats and ensured all possible entries were closed to prevent them from returning. Called on a Wednesday, they came out on a Thursday (on time). Thought I had rodents in my attic area (heard scratching and squeaking), but it ended up being a single bird. Matt left some rodent traps around just in case. The following Monday, Matt came back to inspect the rodent traps and there were no rodents.
